Oil Prices Rise, Economy Dies

Despite the declarations of ‘Change we can believe in’, the actual push in America is for little to no change at all.  We want to go back to the past, not forwards into the future.  But the nature of Time is to go relentlessly forwards.  The Muslim world is torn in two by the desire to go into the past and the need to move into the future.  The world continues to spin on its axis and the stars rise at night and spin overhead.  During the day, the sun illuminates everything.  Today, we see the US imperial sun setting.  All news points to one thing: the death of the US debt system and the rise of real capitalism…in the Communist sectors.

Chinatown, NYC

Many people imagine that the ‘Wild, wild West’ form of Victorian capitalism can be rediscovered while keeping our living standards.  The Victorian system was based on the most intense and brutal exploitation of labor, even small children, and slavery.  Even as outright owning of slaves was outlawed, the enslavement of the masses continued.   The masses fought back and the early union battles were very, very bloody indeed.  Some of them engulfed the entire nation or even whole empires and brought them to their knees.

The Chinese know this, they are the sons and daughters of revolutionaries, after all.  The memory of the failures of the communist revolt are very powerful.  In the US, our own revolution is now mythology.  And the battle over slavery has been devalued to the point, many feel free to deny that slavery had anything to do with anything at all!  China is full of energetic people.  Recently, the Western news media blared that students rioted in China.

This was due to the police closing down their sales stands on roads.  It was an ECONOMIC battle of wills which the students were very energetic about and responded to the police by mobbing them.  In Japan, workers hide in various places and quietly starve to death or commit suicide.  The Chinese students get angry and push back.  This is why I am betting China will be the next global imperial power.  They have energy and inner strength, enough to fight their own rulers who are quite despotic and frankly, scared to death of these energetic young people.

Got Work? – ABC News

According to a survey from National Association of Colleges and Employers, the class of 2009 is leaving campus with fewer jobs in hand than their 2008 counterparts. The group’s 2009 Student Survey found that just 19.7 percent of 2009 graduates who applied for a job actually have one.

In comparison, 51 percent of those graduating in 2007 and 26 percent of those graduating in 2008 who had applied for a job had one in hand by the time of graduation.

Economist say the members of this year’s graduating class are also facing unique challenges not only because they are dueling against the growing ranks of unemployed for work, but because they are also facing a backlog created from last year’s graduates who have yet to find fulltime employment.

AFP » US new jobless claims dip to 631,000

New jobless claims by American workers fell to 631,000 in the past week, the Labor Department said Thursday in a report slightly worse than expected by most analysts.

The agency said seasonally adjusted initial claims in the week to May 16 dropped by 12,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 643,000.

Analysts had expected the number of requests for weekly unemployment benefits to be around 625,000.

Unlike the Chinese youth, I don’t see anyone taking to the streets and physically battling the police over turf.  These turf battles are  important.  If we see nothing going on, as workers are thrown into the gutter, for example, and don’t react except to kill themselves and their entire families, with only 20% of college kids getting hired this summer, one sees rising despair but no corresponding anger directed at the state.

The Tea Party demonstrations were a last gasp of the ‘don’t tax me, just give me services for free’ community.  These are people who want very much to have a free lunch, cheap credit and imagine if they pay no taxes, they will get rich, quick.  Our ancestors lived in a world with little to no social services.  They also were mostly very poor.  The middle class was quite small, about 20% of the population.  The very rich were far above this small middle class and lived in huge estates run by an army of servants who were paid a pittance and the factory workers lived hand to mouth.

The great years everyone longs for, the years of a 50% or greater middle class, were the years of unionization and pro-union laws as well as government social systems which protect the teeming working class from the vagaries of economic boom and busts.  Throwing away this legacy won’t enrich us.  The vast majority will fall into the poverty class very fast.  We can see how fast this is in Japan.

Japan is a harbinger of what happens when the ruling elites choose to protect the rich and leave the poor to fend for themselves.  The unions in Japan are totally dead and do not dispute with Toyota when the Toyota clan decided to replace union workers with more and more part-time workers who have no social supports, no protections and much worse pay.  The Japanese system is evolving backwards to the Victorian perpetual depression system that requires constant exports of both population and products.  On the other hand, there are no teeming masses like in the rest of Asia since Japan gave up having children at all at this point.

Clement says American protectionism ‘expanding’ and ‘cascading’ – Yahoo! Canada Finance

American protectionism is expanding rapidly despite President Barack Obama’s commitment to free trade, Industry Minister Tony Clement said Wednesday. The so-called Buy American provisions in Obama’s economic stimulus bill are increasingly slamming the door on Canadian companies looking to bid on contracts in the United States, Clement said following a speech to the National Association of Manufacturers. “What’s happened is these provisions seem to be expanding in scope, and they’re cascading down the system,” said Clement, in Washington to meet with key Obama officials and legislators. “It seems to be metastasizing a little bit, which is of grave concern to Canada.” The trend continues despite Obama’s stated support of free trade, he added. “The Obama administration is our ally on this. They understand the need to combat protectionism,” Clement said.

The other day, I posted a video and a story about the many graphs our own central bankers have which very clearly show that all our trade rivals run surpluses with the US.  This can’t continue.  Canada loves this situation and wants us to return to it.  But Obama has an OBLIGATION to tell them and all others, ‘No, we have to have a new system and it has to be in balance.  We will never get back all the wealth we squandered during the free trade era. But we can start protecting ourselves, now.’  What simple words these are!  And it will start a firestorm!

The US debts do not trap our trade partners.  These debts are a trap for us.  We can’t protect ourselves or all our trade partners will dump the dollar, fast. All the vast hoard of dollars sitting inside many national FOREX holdings will be disgorged in a split second.  Already, nervous or angry countries are restricting dollars and taking in more euros.  To the great annoyance of Europe which wants to be a net exporter, not a net importer.

REFILE-Russia increases euro share in reserves to 47.5 pct – Macroeconomic News, London South East

(Reuters) – Russia has increased the share of euros in its forex reserves to 47.5 percent as of Jan. 1, 2009 and has reduced exposure to the dollar to 41.5 percent, the central bank’s annual report showed.

The OPEC despots supported by US military power in the Middle East fear and hate their own people.  They fear energetic youth contesting with the police like we see in China.  The need to suppress their own people and to bring in virtual or actual slaves from India and other places, means the rulers there sleep restless at night, gnawed with fear.  The video of one of the UAE princes brutally and savagely beating an Afghani grain dealer has shocked the world.

Which leads to reluctance of doing business with these despots.  Alas, the US won’t release similar photos and tapes showing our CIA doing the same sort of things.  Much less, videos of Jews brutalizing Palestinians in their secret prisons as well as in the streets and fields of the West Bank.  Russia is moving rapidly to embrace Europe and in turn, to eventually dominate Europe.

The Olympic massacre of Russian troops has, as I correctly predicted, led to the collapse of the Georgian government.  Mobs storm the palaces there, the populace spends much of its energy, attacking its own ruling party.  The Europeans were punished last winter for the summer sneak attack.  Not one Russian was invited to the Bilderberger secret meeting but we see from the list yesterday, a lot of oil overlords in Europe were at that gathering.  I bet there was a lot of talk about Putin, the guy they fear and hate.

Putin, I may add, happens to be intelligent just like the rulers of China.  Dumb despots always lose to smart ones.  The European despots don’t want to be seen in public as despots so they hide while gracing the social pages.  That is, they hide how they control things which is behind the scenes.  Russia isn’t the only country shifting its FOREX focus.  So are the Chinese.

Wary of U.S. debt, China shifts gears on investment | Reuters

China has engineered a subtle yet significant shift in the investment of its foreign exchange reserves, a sign of how it is willing to act on concerns about financing an explosion of U.S. debt. Beijing has been far and away the single biggest foreign buyer of Treasuries over the past year, but this apparent vote of confidence belies how it has turned its back on long-term U.S. debt in favor of shorter maturities. China’s move to the shorter end of the U.S. debt spectrum is a defensive tactic adopted by the wider market as well on the view that the United States will have to raise interest rates down the road to control inflationary pressures when the economy recovers from the financial crisis.

China is NOT ‘confident’.  China is keeping its trade going with the US even as it diminishes.  I go to Dollar Stores of various sorts for all sorts of strange little stuff.  During the last year, I notice they have had to raise prices and less and less is going for a dollar, anymore.  Walmart is getting much more expensive even though shoppers are fewer and fewer.

There is a lot of pent up inflation at the bottom of the economic scale.  This is bad news.  As usual, it shows up the worst in energy which is the fundamental basis of all civilization:

Are Wall Street speculators driving up gasoline prices? – National Business – MiamiHerald.com

This time, Wall Street speculators – some of them recipients of billions of dollars in taxpayers’ bailout money – may be to blame.

Big Wall Street banks such as Goldman Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley and others are able to sidestep the regulations that limit investments in commodities such as oil, and they’re investing on behalf of pension funds, endowments, hedge funds and other big institutional investors, in part as a hedge against rising inflation.

These investors now far outnumber big fuel consumers such as airlines and trucking companies, which try to protect themselves against price swings, and they’re betting that the economy eventually will rebound, that the Obama administration’s spending policies and Federal Reserve actions will trigger inflation – or both – and that oil prices will rise.

“They’re buying because they think it will diversify their portfolio, and they think it will diversify their portfolio against inflation, and maybe they think the economy will turn around,” said Michael Masters, a hedge-fund manager who testified before Congress last year about the consequences of what are called exchange-traded funds.

Oil contracts are traded mostly in U.S. dollars, and inflation would erode the value of oil earnings, stocks or any other asset denominated in U.S. currency. Many investors are pouring money into oil futures – contracts for future deliveries of oil at specified prices – in the belief that oil prices will rise as inflation erodes the dollar’s value.

The economic collapse was a very good time to clear out all the crooks, gnomes, pirates and such from the systems and to streamline things so most world wealth would not flow into the pockets of unproductive bankers and other weasels.  Instead, the central bankers and of course, the Bilderberg gang and all sorts of groups worked very hard to protect the guys looting the system and creating the problems.

So, this mob of locusts will now plague us again.  They drove up energy prices to the moon last summer.  They intend to do this again, this summer.  The US public, reeling from the collapse of our entire economic system, cannot afford more expensive energy.  Instead of this stupid inflation created by the central banks, filling our pockets and encouraging buying, we will shift all this money into the pockets of the energy marketeers and the top investment banks.

So, as the dollar dies, the same clowns we bailed out by taking up all their bad deals and having the central bank take the losses, they are out, bidding up oil so we have to pay them a fortune to go to work, if we have jobs.

OBAMA HAS TO STOP THEM FROM DOING THIS.  Why?  All states have one major obligation: to exist.  Any state that passively encourages looting by the military or looting by the banks or investment community, dies!  Any state that won’t collect taxes but instead, piles on more and more debt while allowing corruption and looting, dies!  Period.  History is utterly clear about this.

Truthdig – Reports – Our Loss Is BlackRock’s Gain

How much do you know about the BlackRock hedge fund? Better bone up fast, now that the folks at BlackRock are calling the shots in the government’s trillion-dollar bailout program. As both The New York Times and The Wall Street journal reported on Tuesday, BlackRock execs are now directing key elements of the government program at a time when they stand to reap great profits from the fallout of a problem they helped create. The U.S. picked BlackRock to manage the assets once controlled by AIG and Bear Stearns and to analyze the assets of Freddie Mac and Morgan Stanley. And as if that were not enough on its plate, the Treasury Department has just selected BlackRock to be one of the few firms trusted with using U.S. taxpayer dollars to buy toxic assets from the banks and then resell them in a process that presents enormous conflicts of interest with other BlackRock operations. Bank of America, with a 47% ownership position in BlackRock, is also the owner of what was once Countrywide Financial, which led the pack in selling bad mortgages. The disposition of those failed properties under BlackRock’s tutelage will have much to do with BofA’s future profitability. As if that were not enough financial incest, the former president and other top executives of Countrywide now run a company created by BlackRock, which is profiting mightily by snapping up the sort of distressed loans that they originally had marketed.

The Bank of America is bankrupt.  Saving them means, they will turn on us and try to profit somehow, any way possible.  This is why it was wrong to save BlackRock or the Bank of America.  The government should have taken over and nationalized both.  The US has to figure out, very fast, what is more important: the bankers or the people.

If this isn’t done by either political party, when our social system collapses and our ability to live in our homes and do business becomes impossible, the people can either kill themselves or kill someone else.  History tells us, most populations prefer to kill and loot outsiders, rulers and assorted others.  Violent convulsions can kill tens of millions of people as we saw during and after the Great Depression.

When our government decided, despite the polls showing little support, to save AIG and thus,  JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs, they set us on a course whereby these same gangs can now loot us to fix their social wealth problems.  After all, if I can live on less than $26,000 a year, they can live on less than $26,000,000 a year.  Even with wild spending goddess wives in tow!  Gads.  Instead, they seek to destroy all civilization, hoping for vast wealth to resume pouring into their own pockets.

US Promises to Fully Fund Israeli Missile Defense System, While Cutting Its Own — News from Antiwar.com

Even as Secretary of Defense Robert Gates was being raked over the coals in Congress for the decision to cut funding to America’s missile defense systems, Israeli defense officials have revealed that Israel’s own Arrow 3 missile defense system will be “fully funded” by the United States yet again this year.

Netanyahu said ‘Nyet’ to Obama concerning all things Israeli and then trotted off to Congress to loot the US taxpayers.  Congress, a corrupt gang of traitors, agreed to this theft.  And so it goes: the US is being looted by absolutely everyone who has any power that gains them access to our political system.  And we see no riots, not yet.  But then, while handing money to Israel hand over fist, these same creeps are talking about making us work longer and harder and cuts in our own social services.

The IMF talks openly about disciplining us the same way the IMF hammers other nations who fall into arrears.  But Brazil or African states, etc, were not running a massive global empire whenever the IMF demands they cut services.  The US can’t afford our goofy empire and certainly can’t afford leeches sucking up money while we cut services at home.

California writhes under its financial losses and now, they will cut many services to the bone.  The teeming prison doors will be pried open and all the ‘three strikes and you are out’  prisoners will be out.  Mexican drug gangs are now roaming Phoenix and other cities, kidnapping, torturing and stealing.  As chaos cascades across our own land which was so denuded of protection on 9/11, we will see a worse situation such as when the people of New Orleans were left to die while the National Guard was motoring about Iraq!

Lower Oil Prices Lead Iraqi Security Forces to Cut Payrolls, Halt Key Purchases – washingtonpost.com

The personnel audits are expected to purge from rosters thousands of “ghost” soldiers and policemen, those who exist in name only, U.S. officials said. They also will result in the dismissal of officers and soldiers who were hired despite disqualifying factors, such as illiteracy, advanced age and medical disabilities.

The Iraqi army currently has 262,000 soldiers on payroll, roughly 12,000 more than its authorized strength. Because Iraq’s security forces are paid in cash that is passed down the chain of command, many commanders lie about how many soldiers they supervise, U.S. officials say.

According to the U.S. military’s summary of the Defense Ministry’s personnel audit, some Iraqi army majors make $70,000 a month through embezzlement. U.S. officials say they believe that as much as 25 percent of the ministry’s annual payroll budget is stolen, according to a U.S. official who provided the confidential estimate on the condition of anonymity.

The warmongers of the Washington Post are also calling for higher oil prices.  HAHAHA.  And the corruption in Iraq is directly tied to our invasion.  When colonial powers take over, the natives become cynical and are reduced to looting the place.  The Chinese know this sort of thing, they watched it in action from 1900 to the fall of the various invading empires at the end of WWII.

Colonial police usually are dehumanized as they try to interact with an alien population that hates them. George Orwell wrote a number of books about this, he did this work, himself, in Burma.  This degradation spreads like a cancer backwards to the imperial headquarters.  When looting becomes the ethos, nothing can stop the internal rot.  It is rather funny to see the WP whine about embezzlements in Iraq.  After all, our entire invasion was a looting expedition!

The natives are aping the Americans who are up to their own eyeballs in corruption.  Our government’s headquarters is seeped in non-stop embezzlements and bribery.  This is why the bankrupt investment banks, instead of being outlawed and the criminals arrested, instead, were bailed out and are not working hard to drive up energy costs again.

The Tea Bagging community better prepare to demonstrate against Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and the Federal Reserve.  Forget the damn taxes!  The taxes are the least of our worries right now.  What if we cut taxes even more [which simply means more debt] and instead, end up paying all our spare money we save from not paying taxes, buying energy?  This happened last summer!

We had a surge of hyperinflation due to oil futures speculators going crazy.  Every penny of the tax rebates was eaten by higher energy costs.  We lost every penny and now have to pay for this in the future!  Using government debts to pay high energy prices to oil speculators who are, at the very same time, being bailed out at great expense and in future tax obligations over losses….MY GOD.  This is so insane.  And the Tea Bag people better understand how Fox TV warped and manipulated them quite cynically, to lure them into the trap of demanding even more tax cuts!

Remember: stupid people are eaten by cannibals.  Smart people figure out who is a cannibal and acts accordingly to protect themselves.  And America has to deal with our energy problems.  The Obama EPA rules won’t do it.  The US imports too much oil.  Taxing oil very heavily will raise prices and reduce consumption.  But will also SAVE OUR NATION FROM BANKRUPTCY!  Yes, we must do this.

Taxes are a way of controlling trade.  We can’t import endless oil because we can’t afford to do this.  People will buy gas miser cars if they have to.  Sending our money to a bunch of pirates and OPEC won’t make America safe or strong.  It will kill us as a nation.  This is why the government must intercept oil profits via taxes.  Gads.  Tax the oil corporations!  The oil culture is killing us, in more than just auto accidents.

  1. mind control

    Significant evidence from Ireland:
Thousands raped and abused in Catholic schools in Ireland
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/may/20/child-abuse-catholic-schools-ireland

Fritz Springmeier seems to be vindicated:
“To insure that the programming and abuse stays hidden from even the slave, the slave is given daily traumas as
a child to keep them dissociative. The Illuminati’s programmers get the cooperation of a vast network of abusers
who traumatize the children who are being programmed. One of the Illuminati’s fronts is the Catholic church,
which the Jesuits manage for the Illuminati. Under the cover of religious retreats and their religious image,
many Catholic clergymen have been participants in the vast trauma network actively creating trauma-based
mind controlled slaves. The problem in exposing this is that first the people who are being traumatized have
trust in the clergymen who are doing the traumas. Second, if the victims or parents of the victims suspect
anything, they usually go to church officials rather than the police in order to clear up the problem, yet protect
the church. Additionally, in most cases both the corrupt religious system, working behind the corrupt police and
judicial system manoeuver to protect the abuser and to further victimize the mind-control victim and anyone
    coming to the person’s rescue.”

Back in 2005, the Guardian noted that Ratzinger ordered bishops to keep abuse allegations secret. “Pope ‘obstructed’ sex abuse inquiry”

I think that guy sleeps upside down in a cave during daylight hours.

Elaine, on the topic of trade, you have to remember that US parent companies own many of the enterprises selling goods in the US market. They also control a huge chunk of our resource industries. That said, a growing number of Canadians are beginning to think that we should build pipelines to the west coast to reduce our dependence on “the Empire” as our only market. If only we had a Putin or Chavez in the political picture, sigh!

All religious retreats and schools that separate children from parents such as the notorious ones in Tibet, do this exact same thing. This is how HUMAN MALES often operate. As the victim of such a beast, I know first hand, how some men can’t help but rape children. These creeps are attracted to places where children gather.

The Catholic Church is just one of many different religions that hid priestly sex abuse but if we read history or even the Bible, etc, these stories are very old and pretty continuous.

Actually leaving… Canada exports 70 percent of its commodities to USA now, compared to over 90 ten years ago. As well, BC is building a gas liquefaction plant to service Japan, China and Korea. This will not help you since the new fields in New Guinea, Indonesia, Kamchatka and Quatar are coming online for the same purpose. The Reliance fields controlled by India will also have excess export capacity.

    =======================
GEORGE FRIEDMAN makes a living out of bold – some would say outlandish – predictions. The former US military analyst turned forecaster believes this century will see a new cold war with Russia, armed conflict between the US and Japan, full-scale confrontation between the US and Mexico, and the emergence of Turkey and Poland as major powers.

War will be waged from space-based platforms he dubs ” battle stars” and there will be a contest for labour as populations shrink.

Sorry, #2. The People lost their power when they elected Obama. A CA bailout will happen.

But Californians should now pay a real price,…for Schwarzenegger’s wasted years. His governance-by-attention-deficit-disorder has involved flitting from one trendy irrelevance (e.g., stem-cell research) to another (e.g., cooling the planet) while the state has sagged.

Was he unaware CA was broke? Were the voters? Do CA voters seriously think they can continue voting for liberals and not pay the price at some point?

Fittingly, he was in Washington as his shambolic legacy was being defined by Tuesday’s defeat.

Since we are on the subject of Canada.. the loonie has been going parabolic as our markets tank. The flight to safety trade appears to have hit stall, if not crashed yet. This is a bad omen, since it is showing a lack of credibility for uncle Buck. While Canada may not have any growth, since we are still their number one market by far, fx traders do not expect the loon to collapse. The last week does not speak same for uncle Buck.

  16. Here is one of the most important articles you can read right now.

We need to determine if the 12 trillion of new Treasury/Fed money will be stimulate the US economy or send it into hyperinflation.

If it goes into producing real goods, no inflation.

If it goes into paying off speculative bets and then currency speculators bet against the USD, it is hyper inflation.

    Any bets?

If you see Soros (a Zionist AND a Nazi!) going BIG short the dollar, it is the Weimar plan for the former US empire.

    http://www.webofdebt.com/articles/hyperinflation.php

“Light is thrown on this mystery by the later writings of Hjalmar Schacht, the currency commissioner for the Weimar Republic. The facts are explored at length in The Lost Science of Money by Stephen Zarlenga, who writes that in Schacht’s 1967 book The Magic of Money, he “let the cat out of the bag, writing in German, with some truly remarkable admissions that shatter the ‘accepted wisdom’ the financial community has promulgated on the German hyperinflation.” What actually drove the wartime inflation into hyperinflation, said Schacht, was speculation by foreign investors, who would bet on the mark’s decreasing value by selling it short. “

    PARADIGM SHIFT STATED PLAINLY

The Chinese strategy remains hidden, to execute a grand paradigm shift that will take tacit control of the United States, which is now in disarray. Its leadership is too busy being coopted by the Wall Street banksters. The objective by Beijing leaders is to avoid violence and military actions altogether. Sun Tzu would be proud. Beijing is gradually subjugating the USGovt as a vassal in debt, the risk to the US being a transition toward servitude to their credit master. We are in the midst of an historical global paradigm shift, to date a quiet process. Power is shifting from WashingtonDC and New York City and London directly to Beijing.

The United States has little choice but to acquiesce and comply with Beijing wishes. The insolvent indebted nation with little industry left and a destroyed banking system can endure the shameful process of bankruptcy receivership, forced by the creditors, or the nation can permit a ‘New Alliance’ with China that involves obedient hidden directives. The US possesses a powerful defense contractor industry, half the world’s agricultural output, and many spectacular locations for residence. The practical consequence of the US ‘listening’ to Beijing wishes on a regular basis will be for the European Union to be pushed into a ‘New Alliance’ with Russia. Such a deal is practical, due to distances and supply lines. The United Kingdom is in all likelihood to be left out in the cold.

so here is my question. if this is going to be so:
    ========================
“The United States has little choice but to acquiesce and comply with Beijing wishes. The insolvent indebted nation with little industry left and a destroyed banking system can endure the shameful process of bankruptcy receivership, forced by the creditors, or the nation can permit a ‘New Alliance’ with China that involves obedient hidden directives….”
    =======================
if this, then why would china remove or replace anyone in power here in the us? even if china ends up pulling all the strings, why wouldn’t china want our leadership institutions and police to remain firmly in control of the population? only have our now former owners, but still in charge over us, clamp down on the dissidents more…. why would anyone think life is going to be easier for all the little marginal people if all our leadership and institutions fail…..why wouldn’t china retain all existing controls over the people of the us, only make these controls doubly “efficient”? sort of like what the west did in french indo-china and iraq and india and everywhere else we lorded it over all the little natives in their backwards nations.

  23. OH, I do not believe the elites would be willing to rule “in loco Beijing.” They’ve had it at the top for far too long and as Dick Cheney (that RAT who made us less safe by demanding torture, not more) demonstrated today, too ornery to be able to acknowledge other leaders supplanting them, let alone taking orders from them. No, Beijing will have to replace them with a whole new leadership class with absolutely no relation to these elites. And find a way to take over without precipitating a US-started WW3. Like buying real estate for Lebensraum.

  24. Simon

    Why not, indeed?
Maybe because clamping down too much will result in more chaos and damage the US infrastructure, which they don’t want as a creditor
Remember, it is sometimes cheaper to let current mortgagees to squat than to repossess

  25. OC

    Openlyhidden,

There was a historic precedent in China how this could be done during the Warring Kingdoms (approx 400BC).

  26. payAttention

There are commentators here talking about Chinese lebensraum. I would advise you to pay attention to what is actually happening in preference to inventing your own stories. China is trying to acquire a twenty percent stake in Rio Tinto while demanding a reduction in iron ore prices. While the Mandarin speaking PM Rudd is having confreres with Chinese Foreign Ministry officials out of sight of the Australian press. Zhinhua reported it however. This after acquiring half of Australia’s zinc production. The Australian Foreign Investment Board remains mum. So no need to refer to Germans and wild speculation, when you can open your eyes and read. The model is there.

    Elaine:

“This is how HUMAN MALES often operate. As the victim of such a beast, I know first hand, how some men can’t help but rape children.”

Elaine, I have always held the notion that a deeper sickness permeates those who do this to women or children.

This sickness is pure outright cowardice. That is what makes these acts so disgusting to me. These guys don’t have the courage to go to a woman or man and negotiate for sex in a fair and equitable way. Instead, they fear their peers and they want to force their sexual will on the weak and innocent.

Nowadays, for better or worse, (no pun intended) there is sex available for almost anyone if they just ask the right person in the right way.

I’ve seen some of the ugliest men use charisma and successfully attract a willing female….and I’ve seen some really outwardly unattractive females attract a man and have a family and successful marriage….It’s all in asking in the right way and about respecting the humanity of the other person.

And average person that I am, I still have the ladies give me the eye once in a while, but alas, wife has threatened to do me bodily harm if I ever step over the line. Saw wife angry once….not a pretty sight….real scary…so like Johnny Cash, I walk the line.

  31. payAttention

Huh. No one was talking about Japanese lebensraum. The talk was about the Chinese.

  32. Simon

  33. David

“They[Japanese] can’t grow outwards, anymore. So, even if they have money to move outwards, they don’t have the armies of youth to do the actual moving.”

One sure hopes they don’t because WWII Japanese were fierce and brutal warriors, and should be feared very much.

On a related note, because of its one child policy and the Chinese family desire for male children, China is producing an excess of males…..great potential for having excess male population for cannon fodder or for export to other nations China dominates where these lonely males will find female companionship.

you misrepresent the tea party people. most of them are average americans who want LESS GOVERNMENT SPENDING, not necessarily less taxation. people don’t mind paying taxes when the money is not wasted, but object strenuously when the money is wasted! this is about the wasted flow of money that the government receives, as further evidenced by all of the bailouts.

Sandy, I agree which is why I am doubly pissed off with the way the Tea Bag community was yanks literally sideways by Fox TV!

OK: what spending do we cut? I have published many an article detailing how the PENTAGON is the key money hog. It eats an astounding amount of money! We can save over $400 billion+ if we cease all our imperialism. So, the demonstrations should have been anti-war and directed at Congress and the President.

Note that right after the demonstrations, Congress raised Pentagon spending by 6%.

so Ed-M, what kind of people are the chinese….cc would know this. are they people someone backwards as even i am could get along with? do they have a vibrant, lively gay culture in china for example? what kind of new leadership would they want do you suppose?

OC i will to to wiki and see what you are talking about.

and payAttention, about living space? i am constantly amazed at how many people live in basically not farmable lands. the mountains in china and the desert in the middle east are beautiful places to look at, but i cannot figure out how the land can support any population numbers at all. rocks don’t grow squat. and it was interesting for me to read that the usa still produces half the worlds food but i am concerned that our new owners will think it is more efficient to consolidate the corn belt for example into collective farms a million acres each and simply barge most of the harvest down the mississippi to the port of new orleans and off to china and asia.

but my main question is what kind of people are the chinese now? i know what kind of people the islams are….i.e. traditional and conservative (i bet they would be like dixie democrat and republican voters in another world)….what kind of culture does china have now? if china will want different leadership, will they prefer that new leadership to come from smith college for example? and don’t beat me up for asking this either. like it or not, history records all sorts of precedent for these sorts of decisions once things become too “loose”. i.e. hitlers black shirt solution once they had served their purposes….and all the multi ancient warnings about cultures like sodom & gomorrah…. i.e. will china want to clean the drug and tittytainment culture up? or will they mostly prefer the non-essential population keep themselves too busy degrading themselves to even be aware what is happening? or maybe they are all gay-friendly too? i don’t know. thank you.

  38. openlyhidden

and of course the first thing our new owners will want usa to do is disarm. even i can figure that out.

@payAttention: The only people who can seriously apply themselves to a policy of Lebensraum are countries with a population fertility rate above 2.11. (http://tinyurl.com/2v4uga) Got that. The U.S. is at 2.11 barely passing, and that because of a growing Asian, Hispanic and Muslim population. Thank you very much. Yup, the same “people” who are going to fund the SS and Medicare for yous all, assuming they are “given” jobs that can be taxed. Not printing jobs mind you. :-)

That’s right, you need “these” people to fund your SS and Medicare because “real” Americans are shooting blanks and are too busy buying and spending on things they don’t need, not growing in number sufficiently to provide the needed tax collections to fund the future retirement benefits of an aging America. Further, without a growing population there is no way in Heaven or Hell that the U.S. is going to work itself out of the imperial debt it has piled on the head of every man, woman and unborn American child.

So ya, Lebensraum is only for qualified countries. China, India, Brasil, forget Russia, they are shooting even more blanks than America. Their rate is 1.3 and their mortality rate is through the roof. Remember what I told you a while back Elaine? I figured it out. Its not just the economic numbers that matter, its the will to live. You know this. Getting fat and rich is decline. It is death. Lean and mean is living. You have lived the life. payAttention, chew on that.

  44. criticalcontrarian

How goes it OH? I hope you and the brood are keeping well. We live in truly interesting times. To answer your question, the Chinese are a very industrious, smart and driven people. They know suffering, patience and fortitude. They can live on little, but never give up hope of a better tomorrow. At the back of every mainland Chinese mind is the desire to be acknowledged and accepted as equals in the world politic. The young Chinese are quite different from the old guard, less tolerant and a bit spoiled. The current crisis will test their mettle after a decade of somewhat luxurious growth in their terms. The ones that the politburo will project outwards are extremely well educated. They can adapt and are adventurous, willing to try anything at least once. And they absorb, absorb, absorb. Everything. I am not worried about how they will treat Americans as much as how the American elite will react to their global success. They understand the Tao; live and let live is very much a part of it. Keep the faith bro. If worst comes to worse, you come this way, we’ll get you settled on some good farmland. And so what if you’re anglo looking, so am I. As were my parent, grandparents, and great grandparents. My 5th generation is integrating more than my generation did. :-)

The Tea baggers are a joke. They don’t want their taxes raised? Who do these ‘tea baggers’ think is going to pay for “Dubaya’s” $5+ Trillion in added national debt? The wealthiest 10%-15% of Americans know the answer. This group assumes–correctly, I hope–that it will be THEIR taxes which rise. So how much reality will it take for these middle class ‘tea baggers’ to realize they are being used as “useful idiots”? The wealthy in this country have had an easy time fooling the sheeple. I blame the education system for this. ALL regimes ruled by a minority of people–which is most ruling classes–strictly regulate the TYPE of education their subjects are to receive.

  47. emsnews

The Tea Bag idea began as an attack on the Federal Reserve. It was CO-OPTED by Fox TV who cynically turned it around and trumpeted it as an anti-tax thing. This destroyed the movement as a political force and turned it into a political farce. I am so very annoyed by this.

  48. David

    CC:

Enjoyed the film. I learned years ago that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.

This might very well be another major reason besides the obvious economic one that our southern borders were opened up to the many Hispanic Catholics to immigrate into the US and Canada. Since these Catholics have a higher birthrate than secular or even protestant and Asian Americans, we can be assured that we will not be overwhelmed.

So, religion is heavily involved in current politics.

OH questioned what the Chinese are like…..I knew several in Vietnam…merchants. They are very smart, very pragmatic…and remind you very much of those older, very pragmatic, industrious Americans. Of all Asians, I like the Chinese and Cambodians best….very down to earth, practical people.

Incidentally, since, in the near future, US and Chinese fortunes will probably be heavily tied together, it is interesting to note that the Chinese barely tolerate religions of any form….they are Marxists and dislike religions as a foundation of their system. This might be a common ground when the US competes with Islam if the US/Hispanic Catholic and Protestant and Jewish religious crowd keeps its head about it and does not go overboard in provoking the Chinese or the Muslims.

Talk about dark ages. If the US does not allow secular Islam to flourish in the Middle East, if most of the world is dominated by fundamentalist Islam, we might have some real difficulties.

This is why US war making is creating more problems than it cures. Secular Islamic countries like Iran need to be allowed exist in peace and harmony with the West rather than being driven into the arms of the fundamentalists….and our ally is at least partially responsible for this because of its provocations and resulting fears.

Thanks for posting the film CC. This certainly gives us a much better perspective of our needs as far as diplomacy and international cooperation.

We most certainly clean up our former bullshit diplomacy with out southern neighbors and become an honest broker with them, and their ally. China is going to move into that area anyway.

If we want our Western way of life to be sustained, we will have to heal the wounds we caused and then maintain close cooperation and alliances with all neighbors in the western hemisphere. Nowadays, we need them just as much as they need us.

  49. David

    Additional note on Iran.

I know some might view Iran as a fundamentalist nation, but that isn’t quite right.
I was fortunate enough to talk to an Iranian shop owner here in the US awhile back when Bush was threatening Iran….

This Iranians was a Muslim and he and I talked about international affairs a little.

He explained that Iran is a very modern nation, and although most educated people go through the motions of daily prayers…they take religion less seriously than most outsiders think they do and that for the educated Iranians, religion was secondary to the secular and scientific reason based ways of thinking…and that Iran would become a very peaceful nation if left alone and is not continually provoked. On the other hand, he assured me that Iranians felt that if attacked, they could paralyze oil shipping for quite awhile and deliver some harsh blows on their attackers…and that they were not really very worried about being attacked.

This guy was very articulate and told me that he felt that religious dogma is a major reason for conflict…and since being in the US, he has really enjoyed being away from the daily religious grind that is required in Iran when visiting his parents.

  50. Simon

Iran is a very old civilization like China, and confident in their future
Not many Middle-Eastern country can have that.

  51. emsnews

Iran is Persia. It is part of the arc of number theory creation going back to the dimmest mists of history. The people have reacted to 200 years of Imperialism and gone ‘turtle’.

Just as most of Asia followed the communists and closed their own doors for half a century. Now, Asia is opening up and I fully expect the Muslim world to be sick and tired of fundamentalism soon enough. We need patience.

But the irritant here is in Jerusalem, a religious city the Jews intend to exclude all others including Christian allies. So long as this mad program continues, we will have all sorts of blow ups and chaos.

  52. criticalcontrarian

@David: the Chinese know what the West uses religion for an so they countermeasure it. Tibet is a perfect example. The West is big on separation of Church and State, but only in words. As Lucretius said in his De Rerum Natura, “Tantum religio potuit saudere malorum. To such heights of evil are men driven by religion. The Chinese are the Yang to the Western Yin. Balance has to be restored, that is the Way.

@Elaine: the Muslim population will get tired and throw away fundamentalism once the Western intelligence agency agitators leave all well alone. Even now Muslim fundamentalism is a very small part of Muslim society contrary to Western media reports. Behind every Muslim terrorist group there is a Western intelligence agency manipulating and directing the show. If this were not so then the Bilderbergers, Illuminati and whatevers would be the ones being blown to kingdom come, not little old ladies and school children. If you could do the WTC you could do anyone, yes?

  53. MrBill

    Elaine,

I have been out of the loop for a couple of weeks, but, when I got back and caught up on everything, I found so many great posts. I am amazed at your productivity of always interesting topics. They are great.

Catching up on your topics and others, I thought about three books that I had read over the years that tend to keep coming to mind when I look at our current world affairs. It may a bit off topic – but, let me toss them into the forum.

The first book is “The Limits to Growth”(1972) by Donella Meadows, et al. It’s subtitle is something like “The Club of Rome Report”.
The project developed, WORLD3, a computer program that used the recently MIT introduced concept of System Dynamics to estimate the dynamic interaction for their five critical variables – population, farming and food, nonrenewable resources, industrial output and environment. It was a very sophisticated attempt to use the then state of the art knowledge in order to extrapolate to the future. They constructed their computer models and estimated the total worldwide quantities for the various variables used in the models and ran simulations looking for a sustainable equilibrium. They were shocked to find that a reasonable equilibrium was virtually impossible to find, primarily because the historical quantities for the five variables were too well advanced on an exponential growth curve. The bottom line was that they concluded that a sustainable world system required near zero growth for both population and industrial growth (capital outlay), period. They concluded that failure to do nothing will ultimately create a general natural collapse of population around the world. (I recall that they published a later book that revised their initial conclusion. Their new conclusion was that the powerful, “haves” nations of the world will probably just simply annihalate the weak, “havenots”.) More recent updates suggest that the world has chosen the “What, Me Worry?” attitude.

Exponential growth is the nature for many of the graphs shown on EMSNEWS. This brings to mind the “Arithmetic, Population and Energy” series by Dr. Albert Bartlett , an emeritus Physics professor from Univ of Colo.on Youtube. He discusses the implications of the exponential equation at length.Three important points from his lecture: (1) Exponential growth involves the constant rate of increase of a quantity of stuff over a constant time period. Loan payments (constant interest rate per year), populations, resource depletion, etc tend to fit the mold. (2) The easiest way to look at the equation is in terms of the Doubling Time, the number of periods required for the total quantity of stuff to double. The doubling time can be estimated by dividing 70.0 by the rate of growth( 70/7 pct equals 10 periods, 70/3.5 pct 20 periods).
    (3) Take note that doubling means that an increase in the quantity of stuff over the specified period exceeds the total quantity of stuff that has ever been accumulated throughout preceeding history.

Punchline from Meadows, Et Al: The current world system is in an exponential growth crisis. Great pain and dramatic social change is on the way.A social hurricane/earthquake/tsunami is just a matter of time.Pay attention to the Doubling Time of various stuff.

The second is “The Great Depression of 1990″ (1985) by Rav1 Batra, an economic professor from SMU. He was into cycles and presented 1770 – 1980 economic charts similar to the ones often displayed here. But, the most intriguing part for me were the earlier hypothesis chapters where he outlined his research on the “life cycle of ancient civilizations and empires”. His thesis was that it started as a chaotic society, progressed through stages to a sophisticated zenith, then ultimately collapse back into chaos. The order of progression was very specific. (1) A strong and dynamic personalty (typically military) organizes and leads a movement from chaos to conquest. The leader assumes full authority and the roots for a new culture are born. (2) The leader eventually ages and tires of enforcement of authority. This leads to creation and transfer of some authority to a priesthood class with a religious and moral authority. (3) Eventually, a developing culture gives rise to an influential craftsman class. These are the people that produce stuff. The craftsmen are more interested in making stuff and then selling it. (4) Next comes the mercantile class. They receive the stuff from the various craftsmen and sell the stuff to the general population. At some point, the mercantile class gains a strategic control and ultimately overpowers the craftsman class. (5) The final progression, ultimately giving rise to the next chaos, involves the financier class. Initially, this class was considered to be a benign one designed to improve the craftsman – mercantile – consumer efficiency. But, ultimately, the financier class always tends to move toward excesses that lead to the progressive collapse of the culture and into a new chaos.[

Punchline from Batra: Watch out for societies controlled by the banks and other financial institutions. They may be nearing social collapse..

The third book is “The True Story of the Bilderberg Group” (2007) by Daniel Estulin, an investigative journalist and Bilderberg hound. He reports that he has accumulated some info about the Bilderberg Group and has some insight to their objectives. He provides some lists of attendees from 1954 to 2007 (these are a bit intriguing) and some documents of their objectives. Keep in mind that the Bilderberg Group is extremely secretative and highly secured!

The highlights of his book can be summarized thusly:
They represent a group of super elite individuals from around the world, mostly USA and Western Europe. Other outside people are also invited to attend meetings, as appropriate. They argue in public that they “represent groups of influential people simply dialoging with other influential people Their presumed objectives are pretty benign! They simply want to establish a new stable aristocracy of them, with them in control. But, they advocate a commitment to eliminate maybe two-thirds of the unidentified world population. The objective is to restore an aristocracy that, more or less, manages the workers of the world.

Punchline from Estulin: The Bilderberg Group is partially exposed. It basically represents an annual meeting of the elite influential components of Western Europe and the USA. They would like a worldwide security and economy, with them firmly in charge. A middle class may not be desirable in their future.

So, we seem to have a perfect storm. Financial types are in control – suggesting the liklihood of some collapse. We are into exponential growth in many directions. The only solution is to suck it up and take the painful treatment. And we have groups of elite aristocrats who seem to want to gain control and direct society.Wow!

so now you get it elaine. this, THIS is what i was trying to get at. i.e. you cannot convince me that the powers that own us and do our thinking for us and feed us and control us also did not ensure that we the people have plenty of drugs and tittytainment to keep us all too busy and addicted and thereby INCAPABLE of “going into the streets” to take power over your own lives. instead, you all live in the box that was given to you and whenever disturbed, harp about homophobia or womans rights or being a religious nut to anyone who dares comment on the deliberate destruction done to people who have been taught to be mentally and emotionally dependent and incapable because of drugs and tittytainment. now you just may see that the real crime done was to the culture and society which enabled the banksters and bought politicians to remain in control. the red state red necks deep down know this, how come you don’t! so did the nation of islam when they had the valid point back in our day when they would claim whitey deliberately enables drugs to be there in their communities TO ENSLAVE THE USERS MINDS(free the mind and the ass is sure to follow elaine. get it?) and by extension the innocent living nearby too….who are merely collateral damage. now maybe you are ready to consider my point. drugs, legal and otherwise, taught emotional dependency and mental weakness, and then deliberately conveniently liberally destroy all the family and society foundations and substitute instead womans government controls because they hate their daddy so because he won’t let them “BE HAPPY”!!!! oohhhh! this is the most important devastating deliberate control the general population has…..the debt and being mentally and emotionally incapable in so many ways that they may not even be able to know the difference between say…a real “date” and squatting behind a glory hole in a stall in a public bathroom for example are symptoms of a diseased and deranged mind done deliberately to enslave you all to your pityful weak minds and its attraction to sensual pleasures and the weakling emotions you all are so addicted to. this is what has been done to you all deliberately. and by the way, i could have been speaking of the beloved red guards and their factories too. it isn’t about “killing” at all elaine. if everyone knows you can and will kill somebody if they fuck with you, you never have to do it. see. its a manly thing. like don’t tread on me. not some emotional thing because you are a slave to sensation and emotion. now i could make this point better, but you still will not get it because it pleases everybody so to continually masturbate their minds instead of dealing with reality. up is now down, going forwards is now backwards, truth is now oppression, and dependency on your real daddy is called freedom now. i give up. slave.

  58. openlyhidden

and this is how you all were used in the 1960′s….used by your owners. you went along with destroying the fabric of an orderly society and healthy families and strong independent citizens in hopes of being able to control them when your chance to grasp power came…..hahahhahaah! joke is on you and the other lefties. those of us not made into debt slaves already are so mentally fucked up with tittytainment and drugs, you will never be able to reclaim your own lives. hahahahahahah! how will this end i wonder? do you really imagine “the people” can grasp power for themselves when they are such slaves to themselves already. hahahahhahahaha! still don’t get it do you. fuck it. i got manly work to do and the freedom to do it….or not. i guess i have to take care of a 5 year old all day and night today cause grandma is going to a tittytainment casino event with the girls overnight. fuck me i will never smile again.

and my last point is this. before you all go on with clever comments about spock the vulcan and if it feels good, its got to be good, let me tell you the truth, which, of course, you can’t take. the truth is, those of you who believe you can “feel so”, like a woman, male or/and female, aren’t….no more than a pauper truly knows what it is to have riches…. you have been taught to be such dependent slaves, you simply cannot even imagine what true happiness or love “feels” like for example. you manipulated, masturbated, drones simply lack the capacity to even take control of your own selves, let alone take control of your lives and the nation. this is the most important thing that has happened in our world in our lifetime. the money thing is simply a result, collateral damage, unanticipated effects. give you back your money, you still won’t have your selves. the end!

  60. emsnews

You are strange here, attacking me over these generational matters. First, marriages were disintegrating back in the 1950′s, I saw it all over the place, being a nosey, observant child whose favorite pastime was spying.

The Consumerist Society is what killed the American family. The Export/depression Society is killing Japanese families. Japan still has mostly the old-fashioned marriage style which depends on keeping women restricted in life choices. Yet, this isn’t saving families, by keeping women down this way, women are actually refusing to marry men who are distant and thus, abusive, refusing to change.

In Muslim lands, laws are passed to keep women trapped in domestic hells. If you use birth control, you are punished in Saudi Arabia, just for example.

Industrialization changes marriages. Property is valuable if you are a farmer. Not so valuable to survival if you are not a farmer. This is why non-farming societies see a decline in property-marriage systems.

For example, a farmer’s wife might have had 3 sons 200 years ago. The eldest gets the entire farm and the younger ones must either work for the eldest or leave. Daughters only go the farm if all the sons died or moved away.

The history of families and sex is the history of economics. The Greek word that is the root of the word, ‘economics’ means the domestic small farm’s activities [which were mostly run by the women, not the men...they were too busy talking in the agora [hahaha, the root of the Greek word for 'farming'!] or going to war.

wot? hahahah! so is this coincidence or not. you addressed nothing i was trying to go on about elaine. and i was not, ever, “attacking” you. you explain “liberalism” to me. and i was trying to explain why “real men” feel offended and not surprised at the cost of “progress”. and here i stumbled on a book review about what i was trying to say maybe. ie.
    ========================

“In his book “The Enemy at Home,” Dinesh D’Souza shows little patience with the leftists who reacted to 9/11 by declaring that America had it coming. And yet, his book is a variant on that theme. It was our cultural decadence, our foul popular movies, music and pornography, D’Souza argues, that enraged traditional Muslims worldwide and moved some to violence.

D’Souza is a thoughtful and interesting writer, and many of his observations about the cultural left worldwide, and particularly about the dismaying state of popular culture in America, got vigorous head nods from conservative readers. ”
    =====================
and it goes on. so i have said nothing new it seems. it is just ignored by the left who want to keep their “progess” and keep the focus on economic matters instead. and so it goes. only for me, i am not on the conservative side either. i have no home in either liberal or conservative politics it seems. so i will mind my own business and let what will be, be, without further comment. i ought to just walk the earth instead but i have fetters that are my reason for being and actually addicted to at least being comfortable instead of in pain. you are a good person elaine and have convinced me you all mean well and that is good. good day.

Um, our movies that are about human feelings and getting married are MOCKED AS ‘GIRLY’ MOVIES. Just for example. And the vast majority of violent video game addicts are males.

Gads. How blind can this be?

all i am saying is conditions are different now. nothing more will happen than what obama wants to happen….evolutionary change, not revolutionary change. what is different between now and when daniel and hugo and fidel and mao and lenin did their thing? and the boomer salad days? the answer is age. youth needs lots and lots of other youths to rebel. when they are a pampered small segment of the population, especially when they have a world of tittytainment and drugs of all kinds, how will they revolt. plus they can have sex with anything that moves now too. and the blacks will never rise up now that obama is president and neither will the latins. the latins see they are going to inherit california and the entire southwest for starters. who knows what will come of places like miami. probably the amerio and the north american treaty organization will placate the young and the elders will be fucked out of everything they expected, but didn’t save up for. accept that the time has passed. it won’t be so bad. i hear something called “elder sex” is the next big thing. especially since they have somehow improved viagra….something about making it from nano-particles into a cream that is rubbed on the desired places. and no headaches and hang-over feeling the next day either. sell out now while you still can is all i am saying. everyone else has. take care.

  66. @OH: so Ed-M, what kind of people are the chinese….cc would know this. I would say smart and patient, like ants. are they people someone backwards as even i am could get along with? Don’t know. If thsy can’t get along with the likes of you, they certainly won’t be able to get along with the likes of me! LOL do they have a vibrant, lively gay culture in china for example? The gay community in China is at long last starting one. Its epicentre is Hong Kong. The Chinese would probably tolerate/accept gay culture better than a lot of Americans would, particularly those of us of the fundamentalist/evangelical variety.what kind of new leadership would they want do you suppose? My guess would be a much more cautious and less reckless leadership class than what we have now. In case you weren’t looking, the present leadership class has made a shambles of the global financial system and a jumble of US reputation in all things, and are still threatening the Apocalypse!

  67. @cc: You know a lot more about the Chinese than I ever will. S***s to have to go to work and the whole time there, actually work!

  68. David

    OH:

Hadn’t heard about the nano sex viagra thing….tell me more…and elder sex….very interesting.

You seem to desire a return to a time that really never was. If you had lived as an older adult back in the 1950s, you would have watched all of those battle stressed WWII veterans coming home and crawling into a bottle of booze to ease their suffering…..and you would have felt that the younger generation is going to hell in a hand basket, just like today.

You seem to want massive change, and you want the people to take to the streets to reinstitute a harsh system of order like the USMC, where everything has its place, but I ask you…..why?

Is freedom for people to choose differing directions in their own lives such a bad thing?

And what is this thing about women being soft on everything. The military has already proven conclusively that women can be trained and corrupted to become just as mean and brutal as the toughest marine….just think of Lindy England with those Iraqis on a dog lease, kicking them around, laughing about it….and if you have ever in your life dealt with a really mean woman, you will know that the meanest man you know is mild in comparison.

OH, if you ever talk to a woman who has a glint in her eye, watch out! I’m not talking about a sparkle, I’m talking about a glint. She is a dangerous creature, and you had better stay away.

Your visions of home and hearth are heartwarming, but they are very unrealistic.

During and after WWII, the corporate PTB took the woman out of the home and put her in the workplace…and cut husband’s wages in nearly half….and got over double the labor bang for their corporate bucks. This was the 1940s and 1950s corporate world, and men were just real peachy happy with this arrangement, with women doing triple duty…holding down a full time job, having and raising the babies, and then catering to the domestic and sexual whims of their man as he sat around and leisurely read the newspaper after a hard day’s work (Leave it to Beaver lifestyles).

Gimme a break…..is what the women said.

It is no surprise that women rose up and demanded a voice in their world, and some control too. And when they did gain a voice, their spoiled husbands, and dominant men resented it…and went looking for other entertainments besides home and hearth.

And we cannot blame women for expressing their sexuality since birth control came about. Since the beginning of time, they were slaves to the wishes of their men in relation to sex and having children….and now doing triple duty of work, home and child raising created a rebellion against their being forced to bear children with no help in raising them….so many did opt for sex and life without marriage or children…and one cannot blame them, because spoiled men often abandoned them and their children when they were too tired to fulfill idealized (June Cleaver) womanly roles.

OH, the visions you have of home and hearth came from a time when women were enslaved to the child bearing part of their sexuality and to a husband’s whims and need for continued mothering.

During the days of male dominance, we got into just as many wars and mishaps as we do nowadays….and women had no say in politics or even control over their own bodies.

Many nowadays idealize a time that never was.

After living in an all male environment in the old military for two years, I maintain that without womens’ modifying effects on men, we aggressive, testosterone charged men would absolutely kill each other off within a few generations. And the estrogen of women does have a modifying effect on male behavior. The movie, Scent of a Woman was right on track, and most males desire the “scent of a woman” for this reason.

So, OH, don’t look too hard to reclaim “traditional” values. Traditional values were not all that great for the other half of the population back in those days.

So, don’t be too hard on liberated women.

They’re real, honest to goodness women, just trying to adapt and get along in a crazy, often cold and uncaring world, and if you are a real man, you gotta love and respect them as I do.

  69. OC

    Openlyhidden,

The precedent I referred took place during the Chinese turbulent Spring and Autumn Period and tells the well-known story of the downfall and revival of Gou Jian, King of Yue. After his defeat, Gou Jian was captured and enslaved by King Fu Chai of Wu. Faking submission and loyalty while secretly planning revenge during his imprisonment, Gou Jian is eventually allowed to return to his native Yue. Upon his return to rule, Gou Jian strengthens the kingdom with the help of talented advisors and politicians like Fan Li and Wen Zhong while weakening Wu internally through bribery and strategic diplomatic dealings.

    Hope that helps.

Yeah, we are in Afghanistan, saving the women from their husbands. Oops, the born again Christian soldiers invading Afghanistan hate women’s rights….heh. Life is full of contradictions.

Men want to be free, great! Men want women to crawl back into a hole: nope. No can do.

are you talking to me? are you talking to me? what is the word???? strawdogs? what is a strawdog? maybe i have the word wrong (i suppose i could be thinking of something like a scapegoat?) but i am trying to refer to someone sneaky, refuting an argument by craftily defining another, different assertion they then argue about….and hoping nobody notices. hahahahah! politicians are good at this i believe. anyway, I NEVER said one word about “…holding women down”….i certainly never did. i know what you all are offended by, but you may not. hee. hee. i am nobody and do not express myself well and really don’t have to….and so due to no fault of your own, you don’t quite get my point i don’t think. you are happily busy misinterpreting what i was trying to get at. no offense meant…. do an experiment for yourselves. go mow your yard or pull weeds from your garden and mind your mind. see if you can do something so simple, you do not have to think about anything else one bit, and see how long you can just stay there, without YOU disappearing along with your mind into something usually completely bogus that has absolutely zero to do with what is really happening with you there, and now. and i bet you can’t even do that simple thing i.e. see if you can really “be there” and happily attending to “what is” without your surly, egotistical greedy dirty little nasty “mind” trying to create even more problems for you than you already have. thats all.
