Storms Bring Rainbows

rainbowThis last two weeks, we have had more rain than in the previous three months.  One storm after another, lots of lightning.  High winds, hail, water falling like a water fall.  In the last 24 hours, I took a series of photos of these storms as they roared past.  The final storm was a fine mist which gave us a wonderful rainbow..

AFTER TERRIBLE STORMS, WE GET THE GIFT OF A RAINBOW.

Even if the storm is destructive, it is still bringing life to the planet earth.  Mother Nature encompasses us all.  We cannot exist without her.  We exist on this planet which we call ‘earth’.  And all things we use, want or need comes from the earth and the heavens.  Storms unite the heavens and the earth.  Water, ice, snow can come cascading down.  Hard as rocks or a fine, refreshing mist, and then there are lightning bolts.

.

We are going through hard times right now.  During these times, we feel more and more like the bad times will never end.  Yet, we also should remember that there is something more to life than fear.  There is love, there is awe.  Storms are awesome as well as fearful.  One of the pictures below, I took through an open door and a lightning bolt slammed into the opposite hillside and I jumped back.  Yet, I just had to take the pictures.

The last 4 pictures were taken as the sun set.  And the very last one, the sun’s rays came for just a few minutes as the sun set.  And we got one of the loveliest rainbows I have ever seen out here and we see lots of rainbows out here, in the mountains.  A near-perfect arc, with the storm wrack clouds turning from pink to purple and the Eastern Sky lit up with a pale light: this is Heaven.

  • Beautiful. Where are the real owners of the land. Maybe all the rain washed their bones up underfoot.

  • take off the shoes (false beliefs, traditions, tendencies aquired from birth) .. the ground you walk on is heaven . “I” make all things new. a voice from the inner field in the thunder of silence, the rainbow of peace, sometimes are heard.

Beautiful pictures fresh from the mountain air of higher understanding .

    thanks ..

  • The “Royal Arch” plays a dominant role in some areas of Speculative Freemasonry. What the Royal Arch is, at the end of the day, is the mathematics behind the full conceptual circle created from the wobble of the Earth’s axis on its orbit. The exact OCCULT NUMBER is derived from Plato’s Timaeus and is given a value of 25920 years.

  • Numerologist, would you please give me the gbp/jpy ratio twenty four hours hence, or would that spill your nutsack.

  • If the Government keeps spraying, and manipulating weather via “cloud seeding” the blowback from their intervention will fuck up the weather of this planet for a long, long, time.

  • Every silver lining has a cloud.

  • Thanks for sharing those shots, Elaine. Maybe someday I will be able to do my work in a similar environment. I’m so glad you enjoy it.

There’s also a serious fairness issue. Only those executives whose risky bets blow up get investigated, prosecuted and punished. Those whose bets pay off are untouched. This means that being unlucky in the markets becomes a criminal matter. Criminality becomes a kind of lottery. . . .

So like dont enforce the law then… we can change the rules all day… let the banks pay us back the money they owe us with our own public debt… hell, lets make sure that those bonus checks get in the mail we dont want to victamize rich white people who just give their ‘best’ every day… we need more socialism for all the exuberant costs that the elitist wealthy want to share with our nation

like how many does that make… do the talf, tarp, ppip, cheap credit, fed short term lending, fed collateral holdings count

  • The entity that is ‘feeding’ the clouds is called ‘volcanoes’. We had an eruption in northern Japan last month. The gasses and fine dust moved across the entire northern hemisphere. It is now fueling storms!

Mother Nature is at work, yet again.

  • Care to comment on the attraction we have to nature and the outdoors?, so many get the itch, hunting, fishing, hiking. There is such a deep peacefull feeling when i get back to the bush in the summer. Even though i live in a woodlot.
i often wonder about people who have to live only in a sea of humanity.

  • live in woods .. yes go back a few years ,, wood life was full of ticks , sickness, damp rot.. and various bad ways to inflict human kind .

this romance of the woods .. is crossing a river on the back of alligators believeing now to be on a log.

and what about those clean white sheets ,, toilets that flush in the night ,, hot and cold runnning water, refrigerator ,, stove ,, sink… clean dishes .

even the old ford pickup was a gift. better than mucking in the mud with a load on your back ..

  • Alligators? hahaha! guess it depends which woods city slicker. Though we got G bears ,gotta prepare.

  • Alligators live in the NYC sewers (an old urban legend).

  • alligators do NOT live in the woods.

they live in swamps with the other lizards.

Or at least, they prefer to live there.

A swamp community could provide rich harvest.

Just an opinion, but I could back it up if you want.

  • Oh, but I will back it up when I damn well please.

If I like you, I’ll talk with you.

    If I don’t, then I don’t.

    Simple.

  • the image was imaginary on allegators and logs ..

on the back of lustful desire thinking it to be love .

Here lets set down and start from the beginning

    Run spot run

    See jane chase dog

see yappers place big foot in mouth

see yappers chase purple ballons .. thinking them to be real foundations of stone .
