My mother in law is in the hospital today and I spent the last two days with all sorts of problems such as driving to the hospital at 1am on Tuesday. The fine care she is getting reminds me that public health systems run by the government are wonderful and the failure to get this for everyone is why Obama ‘s failure to demand this for everyone is now destroying the Democratic Party. Instead of letting Congress fail due to not enough progressives and then going out in two years fighting for a better Congress, he sold out.
The backlash is but beginning. When FDR sailed into office on the winds of an economic collapse caused by the usual credit bubbles so dear to Republicans, he aggressively tried one thing after another to make things work….not for Wall Street but for the working stiffs of America. As the rich howled in rage at him, he did things that made the poor praise him to the heavens. The entire time he was alive, the greater masses of our great nation trooped to the polls and voted for him. In the deep south, no blacks could vote for him, yet he won all elections he ran in. I knew a number of black citizens from the deep south when I lived in Brooklyn.
All of them had pictures of three presidents in their homes: Lincoln, FDR and Kennedy. I knew one of FDR’s nurses from when he lived in NY and was governor of this state. Her title in her own Flatbush community was ‘FDR’s Nurse’ and she was deferred to in her church and was viewed by the older blacks as an icon of hope. She was extremely old when I met her and she loved telling stories of her years of service to FDR. ’I was human to him so he treated me like a human,’ she said.
Lincoln, FDR and Kennedy were not perfect people. They were all very controversial and confrontational. And they all tried their best to change things. Sometimes a status quo is impossible to maintain and change must happen. The entire left half of the country was sickened by the stinking mess created by mostly the GOP leadership and angry about the Democratic Congressional ability to ‘show spine’ so the story we all heard was, ‘Vote in a Democratic supermajority and we will change things.’
Well, the ‘change’ turned out to be a morass mess of corruption which prevented even the tiniest of changes. Instead of a tsunami of proposals which would possibly be stopped by the Republicans, there was an embrace of nearly EVERYTHING Bush and the GOP did. Of most signal importance, I would guess that about 100% of the people who voted for Obama wanted us to stop expanding our wars. Instead, Obama decided, after a flim-flam pretense of being uncertain, to greatly expand our wars which now are embroiling Pakistan while Iraq falls through our fingers and Afghanistan peasants successfully make hash of our attempts to suppress their native religion and social systems.
We had no real choice in the last election since all candidates embraced the military/industrialized concept of American policy and both parties embrace ‘free trade’ and both parties are disgustingly reckless with social spending that brings little social benefits. This is the key: successful nations that are beating us in world trade all have or are building social systems that cover everyone’s medical needs plus defends the borders from aliens of all types including alien manufacturing products that compete with home products.
Many, many nations embraced the US ‘free trade’ model because it benefited them. But as the euro rises in value, Europe is replacing US as the destination of all trade and this is bankrupting Europe, which is a loose confederation, while the US is already heading to bankruptcy. The recent election in Massachusetts is just a harbinger of what is to come: the total collapse of the Democratic party. And thus, once the last illusion that progressives can influence corrupt politicians will force everyone to exit this sick party and be done with it and form a Reform Party.
The Tea Party could have been this but it was quickly taken over by Fox TV and is now the Reactionary Party headed by Palin who is at least an ideologue rather than simply corrupt. This Reactionary Party will be for all the ‘moralists’ who think the crisis is due to sex and other things. I pray these poor people figure out that gambling is destroying our nation, not sex. But they won’t see this because they are shoved aside by corrupt politicians who cynically throw bones to them such as outlawing gays.
But the Reform Party doesn’t want bones. We want MEAT. That is, a change in the corruption in DC. The military/industrial complex is in cahoots with international bankers to run up our bills to infinity while fattening themselves. The ‘privatization’ program whereby corporations with headquarters on Elizabeth’s many pirate islands can profit from wars and bribe politicians to vote endless sums for these many wars means both parties are party to looting the Treasury. There are more ‘private employees’ in Afghanistan and Iraq than US troops and they are doing a slam bang crappy job of it, indeed, the Blackwater/Xe corporation is actively making it impossible to run wars there.
Instead of arresting Mr. Prince he is protected. Instead of stopping the flood of money to the Pentagon, once again, Obama asks for another $33 billion while not bailing out the states. The GOP won’t stop a thing that is wrong and the half of America who loves the red ink status quo will be happy to continue this. While the Reform Party people sputter with rage as things go out of control…and even there, we are very, very divided: many Tea Party people profess to hate red ink and I know the Ron Paul group is very much against this but aside from the Ron Paul people, most Tea Party people are happy to have the government spend money on them and the military.
And we cannot do this forever. The Wall of Reality looms before us and this international collapse which has its roots in US red ink spending and red ink trade is the cause of the collapse and we must fix this now or suffer the obvious consequences: fulfilling the Chinese 50 Year Plan and Bin Laden’s strategy: bankrupt the US.
This election was a wake up call for the slumbering dinosaurs in DC. I hope they figure this out before it is too late. But then, it probably is too late. So I await with joy the birth of the Reform Party and hope we can reach out, left and right, to do this thing: clean up DC and shut down K Street and remove AIPAC and all other foreign entities which now control our Congress.

that was all a show/fraud.
the big news is that the europeans are beginning a fraud investigation for the so called pandemic

elaine, the rest of the world has figured it out. isn’t it time to come clean and admit your gross mistake??
*cue crickets*

ELAINE: Far from being wrong, I was alway right. Item of most importance: you do NOT wait until many millions of people die before vaccinating them against a virus! PERIOD. Anyone wishing to live in a world where many have to die before even the first moves are made to stop something is a world I do not wish to live in. End of Story.
Snap analysis: Financial reform push shaken as Obama confers

It will now be more difficult than ever for Democrats to win Senate passage of their proposals to tighten bank and capital market oversight due to the upset victory of Republican Scott Brown in a special Senate election.
.
yeah… imean what is a democrat… just a spineless republican
.
and the republicans are going to contest financial regulation of any color JUST LIKE THE DEMOCRATS but more???
.
its been 1 year democrat fat cat man… so your policy agenda stinks… i cant believe the republicans are going to be back in another year… what a dumb system of pushovers

assume nothing, unless like maybe the leadership interfaces as far as the TV
The democrats should have thought about that when they tried to shove a “health care” debacle down the nation’s throat.
Had they been the least sane in their approach to health insurance reform, (“health care” reform is a gross misnomer –without personal responsibility for one’s health a primary component) they might have kept their supermaj.
But, no. Pelosi had to try for yet another imperial command of the economy.
I don’t expect the republicans to do anything about financial reform, but TheBamster still has the power to fire the people who Lord Blankfein and the rest of the Goldman Sucks bastards that have taken over this country.
“Obama ’s failure to demand this for everyone is now destroying the Democratic Party. Instead of letting Congress fail due to not enough progressives and then going out in two years fighting for a better Congress, he sold out.”
He didn’t have the votes. He couldn’t even get all the Dems on board for a “public option”.
“Sold out” means “saw the writing on the wall.”
Both parties now have had embarassing losses. The Dems lose Kennedy’s Senate seat and the Republicans lose a seat in the House (NY 23rd) that they held since the 1850′s. I think more and more people are coming to realize that the Dems and Repubs are not much different. Obama campaigned for change, but we get more of the same. Obama seems to be doing everything he can to damage his base, and George W. Bush did permanent damage to the Republican base. Hopefully this will stregthen the bases for third and fourth parties. Take the power base away from BOTH parties; they deserve it.
Hopefully a viable third party will arise in America as the treasonous democrats and republicans both kneel in front of the same masters and smother their asses with kisses.
At least now we have hope that we are moving closer to gridlock in which nothing big can get done. People continue being motivated to vote against candidates and parties as voters are disenfranchised by two party tyranny.
FDR was the champion of the nanny state and a dupe for the British Crown (code for Illuminatti central banking cartel). Under his “trust buster” cousin Teddy, helped Rothschild agent J.P. Morgan alone gained controlled 25% of American business.
FDR came from two Illuminati families – the Roosevelt’s and the Delano’s. FDR’s mother’s father, Warren Delano, made a fortune in the opium trade.
Hearst employed FDR’s son Elliot, his daughter and her husband. Ethel DuPont (munitions contractor supreme) married FDR Jr.
Curtis Dall was a banker and FDR’s son-in-law, in his book “FDR: My Exploited Father-In-Law” he wrote that FDR was a traitor manipulated by “World Money.”
FDR showed his true colors when he stole from America’s people by devaluing the dollar by 40% in just one day while delivering America’s gold to the Crown.
And, he delivered the U.S. into WW2 as directed by the Crown.
@DrKrbyLuv
Naw, there’s no consPIRACY. Everything that happens is just random. Right.
@ DrKrbyLuv- Shameless war propaganda – Donald Duck pimps for the NWO war machine and the FED – or, as the cartoon puts it : Taxes to sink the Axis
@ PLovering- The federal lizards are starting to hit the pavement faster than the frozen geckos in Florida a couple weeks ago.
Just prior to this election Obama gave the banksters a slap on the wrists. This was his pathetic attempt at portraying his party of uber-marxists as being one with the people- the little people. Election results are in = con job failed.
Obama kicked into full on damage control very early this morning by issuing a special mandate to go after those companies receiving federal contracts who are delinquent on paying taxes.
“It is simply wrong for companies to take taxpayer dollars and not be taxpayers themselves,” Obama said
http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20100120/pl_bloomberg/adsxckaywg0m_1
I rate him only a C for effort -Nothing new here ( basically a revamp of his bankster bitch slap, transparent timing, plus….Donald and Scrooge McDuck were so much cuter.)
Note to NWO psyop dept : Y’all are slippin’ .
Some of the ‘conspiracy’ type analysis I am reading here seems a little over simplified.
I mean, if we are going to criticize FDR, why not criticize the fact that he allied with an insane maniac like Josef Stalin, for example, let alone the British Crown.
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ELAINE: FDR allied with Soviet union only after Hitler had a direct alliance with Stalin and then stabbed Stalin in the back. EVERYONE makes alliances with ANYONE ALL THE TIME. This isn’t a conspiracy but a reality of the every day real world. Nothing ideological at all about any alliances.
Speaking of the reactionaries, Elaine, did you watch the ABC Nightline Jan 18th segment on secret biblical codes stamped onto US military weapons? Totally surreal!
http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=9598128
When you see the military doing this you know that the stage is set for Civil War. Politically we’re close, economically we’re there. Now all we need is an iconoclast. Will Palin be the one? Could be.
Better polish up our Creed. We’ll need it to fly under the radar.
Hello Elaine,
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence, clamorous to be led to safety by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary!

Reform party? ‘they ‘ will just co-opt it. The US is a madhouse, you need something like the China leadership to clean house. But the power is not on that side of thinking, and the citizenship is too muddled.
From Head Lizard back at the Swhite House:
Rahm say, “go out and fight and let the chips fall where they may.”
Like all those chips that fell on Coakley, for instance. Or Corzine.
Rahm can’t even buy an election anymore.
State of The Union Address:
“Obama will punish American People with Brutal Austerity progam.”
Gotta work for welfare.
Obama took single payer and the public option off the table before debate even started. Why? I worry that the Obama administration will get the wrong message, which is they need to work at “bi-partisanship” with the Republicans now. If Obama does that, we will all know that our political system is rigged and there is no hope for the average voter from either party. I’d like to think that this isn’t so, but more and more it looks that way.
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ELAINE: It all died when the Democrats picked up a GOP club and decided to tax union benefits that give good healthcare coverage (I have union healthcare coverage and this meant destroying my own healthcare which is why I have been against this bill since day one). Obama and his corrupt gang in Congress thought it didn’t matter if they pissed off the remains of the union base. As well as the peacenik base. And nearly everyone else. I predict they will run towards the right instead of fixing anything at all. Goofy. Look at the right wingers here who think FDR was a tool of the very rich! Gads. Talk about INSANE.
@Paul S
“….If Obama does that, we will all know that our political system is rigged.”
If you haven’t been convinced by now that the system is rigged then you are either very new to politics or an idealist. No matter who wins.
Face the truth:
“Any man who admits to nothing but which can be plainly demonstrated, may be sure of nothing but perishing quickly”. J. Locke
If you require proof for everything including y0ur own worthwhile instincts you will be bitterly disappointed.
Dial down your expectations of politicians to -zero, and get on with your life to work ar0und the system. Within the law if you can, and certainly without it, if you can be sure to get away with it.
The next step will be for every candidate for office to declare themselves “independent”.
Does that count as a third party?
Due to amount of US debt China holds, would it surprise anyone they enter their own candidate in 2012?
The US is rotting from the head down. When a nation starts to cannibalize itself it’s days are surely numbered. I doubt relief is to be found in the political process either. The system has innoculated itself to change for decades now and is so corrupt and criminal cleaning it out is all but impossible. When the highest courts are crooked what do you do? When the military is an entitity onto itself through it’s economic importan. When no matter who you vote into the political process is either marginalized, ostracized, flipped or worse (murdered like JFK) – then what do you do? What do you do when you can only vote for candidates for the presidency that are pre-approved by the powers that be to ensure THEIR interest, not yours – the little guys’, is looked after. There is tremendous outrage among ordinary US citizens but the Walls around the system are very strong and well defended even if they are invisible.
There is no doubt that at a certain level the outrage and power of US citizens disappears and becomes a muffled, distorted and inefficient voice for change. The voice of US voters does not reach the levers of power in their own nation. And it won’t change through mere voting – it is the system that is set up to guard the interests of an elite, and the average Joe and Jane cannot, by definition by part of an elite.
We face the same crisis all empires face: either we can try to cling to our status quo like rats on a sinking ship clinging to the riggings of the masts or we can jump into the sea and swim for shore.
The first step is to realize the status quo is failed. The second step is to agree to disagree about all things social and concentrate on fixing the finances. The bankers will do this to us, anyway, by forcing all our social services to cease and desist. The present huge rescue of the failed state of Haiti is a last hurrah for the US. We can’t save ourselves, much less, the poorest nations on earth since all these rescue operations end up being looting expeditions of varying degrees.
The US people are facing a very real crisis: California will soon (not later, but most likely in the next 10 year or less) a major, historic, epic earthquake as the middle of the San Andreas from around the Salton Sea all the way to Parkerville, jumps northwards 15-33 feet in faster than the speed of sound.
This will be ‘the straw that breaks the camel’s back’ exactly like the Great Lisbon Quake and Tsunami broke Portugal and turned an empire into dust.
We have to agree about important things: protecting the last shreds of our industrial base via stopping free trade. And paying off our bills owed to trade rivals as fast as possible while closing ALL our foreign bases, totally.
We USE THE UN to do all of this. The UN can patrol the planet. Of course, China will be the leader of ‘patrol the planet’ but remember: this is how empires get drained dry and trust me, the Chinese know this. So I expect them to also expand, not contract, UN powers once they sit in the top of that pyramid.
If we lose global power, this is probably the ONLY way we can regain domestic power. Right now, our Congress is owned by internationalists. These people don’t give a fig if we all die. They are the same people who made a big thing about the people of Darfur….as a distraction.
For example, the Israelis are making a big, big thing about saving Haitians…the very same week they are restricting health care and preventing home building by desperate Palestinians who they control!
And our media doesn’t mention all of this. We will end up being all Palestinians in the long run and so we better prepare for this. Our petty differences won’t matter a hill of beans when this happens to all of us.

In his acceptance speech in 1992, American President Bill Clinton described Professor Quigley as his mentor and an important influence on his life. Quigley wrote several books including ‘Tragedy & Hope: A History of The World in Our Time’.
On page 324 of that book he wrote:
“The powers of financial capitalism had (a) far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank…sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world.”
On page 1247 he went some way towards exposing the charade that is the two (main) party political system.
“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.”
quick note..not my work…copied from

just to be honest
After WWII FDR lamented that the allies had “killed the wrong monster”.
Either we stop letting Satanists run things or we will become extinct.
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ELAINE: That is very odd. FDR died before WWII ended and before Hitler killed himself.
Now we are getting to the nitty gritty, the fact that the system needs a big overhaul. Just like the USSR needed perestroika; and a new system from top to bottom which the old status quo cannot and will not deliver. We are going to get that change one way or another. The question is will be be prepared or will it be imposed? My bet is that like in the USSR, the security apparatus which should be alarmed at the deterioration in all sectors; has prepared contingency plans. Likely involving the military as this is a central institution of the USA. Perhaps those bible inscriptions on gunsights are but a sign of things to come….. a religious + military + CIA type of leadership. Isn’t this what was planned in case of nuclear war? In case the civilian leadership collapsed? Maybe this Reform party will be set up as a quasi religious/military/sports … I bring in sports as its a big uniter…. enterprise. Just guessing.
A simple formula for non-revolutionary democratic success that even the blind can follow to victory:
1) TOSS THE CANDIDATE WHO STINKS MOST OF BANKERS
2) WHEN IN DOUBT, TOSS THE INCUMBENT
That’s all it will take and that’s what folks seem to be doing. It results in banker sycophants competing to distance themselves, even if only in appearances, from bankers who think they run the world. And it results in good people with no agenda who might be willing to throw in their hat for an easy win.
In the movie “Stalingrad”, the German soldiers were told that “god was on their side, it even says so on your belts.” A very cynical German soldier checked his belt and said to his friends nearby: “He’s right. It does say that.”
Very depressing movie, but worth watching.
Warmongers always think “god” is on their side.
But what would “General Butt Naked” do?
http://www.vbs.tv/watch/the-vice-guide-to-travel/the-vice-guide-to-liberia-1-of-8
To be fair VBS is edgy and informative but totally misses the boat when it comes to bankers and their agenda, so much so that one has to wonder?
1) TOSS THE CANDIDATE WHO STINKS MOST OF BANKERS
2) WHEN IN DOUBT, TOSS THE INCUMBENT
@adammateyko: “Perhaps those bible inscriptions on gunsights are but a sign of things to come….. a religious + military + CIA type of leadership…. Maybe this Reform party will be set up as a quasi religious/military/sports”
As a gay man AND as a Jesus Contactee I was and still am appalled at the gunsight inscriptions. WTH? And if we end up as a religious+military+CIA type of leadership I know me and my kind will be the first to be rounded up into those FEMA camps. Maybe that is why the California Proposition 8 federal trial defense team is shooting themselves in the foot. http://firedoglake.com/prop8trial/ Once the trial reaches the Supremes, no matter which way they rule, the end-timers will go absolutely INSANE and will seek to literally outlaw us, one way or another, like Hitler outlawed the Jews!
The CIA has always been VERY divided. These divisions have been very fundamental. Which is why elaborate conspiracy theories totally miss the truth about how this thing operates and how out of control it is. The elites barely control their own families…not even that..HAHAHA….much less, an army of often quite independent agents.

i think FDR is a bad example for an american hero. there are plenty of things you can criticize him for, including gold confiscation.
Has the government always been the enemy of the people or have people created their own enemy by voting with larceny in their viens?
I am flirting with the notion that the Obama admin preferred Dem to lose in MA. In fact, it was Obama’s preferred outcome.
I have never, ever believed that healthcare was an issue that Obama cared about. He only proposed the dreaded public option during the primaries because Hillary made universal healthcare a cornerstone to her campaign. He needed to propose something “democratic lite” and he did.
Upon being elected, Obama has been walking back on healthcare, diluting progressive congress proposals and then disengaging from this as much as possible. His performance on healthcare has been nonexistent and he’s managed to deflect as much of the criticism to congress (ok, they deserve this)
However, this loss of a supermajority manages progressive expectations way, way down on healthcare (and many other policies that we’ve already seen Obama to be quite status quo on).
Curiously enough, there was chatter on dem websites that party footsoldiers in MA were effectively told by their leadership to “stand down” this election, limit endorsements of Coakley, etc. Now factor in a shoddy Coakley campaign and early concession (a la Kerry). Note: this will kick many dem congressman to the curb and destroy the party but Obama and TPTB don’t care.
All and all, the mid-term elections will transfer power from Dem to Rep (like it really matters) and Obama will be viewed by the media as a phoenix rising from the ashes (a la Bill Clinton) as he successfully reigns in a renewed post-partisan era.
Of course right now the media is calling Brown’s race a referendum on healthcare and dem bickering. This is a limited hang and only half right (and therefore wrong assessment). Of course the media polls are not addressing the financial giveaways, corruption, ongoing wars, the loss of civil liberties that citizens are enraged about. Witness the Howard Dean and Chris Matthews exchange (i hate matthews; personifies all that is wrong with wash media).
Meanwhile Brown vowes to kill healthcare, maintain Gitmo and rendition status quo, spend money on war, etc. I don’t believe this was what that MA citizens voted for, but the spinning has started.
The establishment agenda will march on. And I wonder if the Rep and Dem parties’ collapse signal the formation of a single
“independent party” not a true third party. This single, one government party is really where Obama and Washington leaders seem to currently reside and the ultimate endpoint for the corruption and status quo that we call our government- it is the worse of both worlds.
From www. campaignforliberty.com
To understand the “two” party system we should look to Bill Clinton’s mentor, a Carol Quigley. Clinton remade the Demo party in a corporate image and nothing has changed with Obamba……..
Consider then, the words of one of the most influential CFR members of all times, Professor Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University, who was once Bill Clinton’s mentor. In his book, Tragedy and Hope, Quigley wrote:
The two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.
Continuing, Quigley theorized:
It should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which … will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies.
Consider just the area of U.S. foreign policy. George Bush’s secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, is a CFR member, and Rice’s predecessor in that post, Collin Powell (who endorsed Obama for the presidency), is a CFR member, and each of Obama’s possible picks are also CFR members. What is the likelihood for any significant policy change under President Obama?
gary – I have that Quigley book. It is quite a tome and yes, our political system is as he writes.
Right. I guess I am having memory slips.
It was probably Churchill I was thinking of.
But a deal with the devil is a deal with the devil. For example if, at the time, Stalin had been the major military threat to Britain instead of Hitler, it is a reasonable inference that the allies would have been on his side.
It is just a matter of practical, real world realities which butcher we happen to be allied with at any given time.
Christ Almighty, are we ever doomed.
@charlottemom
“I have never, ever believed that healthcare was an issue that Obama cared about.”
I think you might be on to something there, i wondered why Obama has not offered any leadership on healthcare. Could it be that he simply doesn’t care? He has a whole policy institute, but they made no attempt to package or sell it? Very strange. I cant work out if obama either 1, has got thru life by letting other people defeat themselves (hillary, McCane) and so it’s just his personalty to do noting, or 2, he’s upto something… but i just cant work out what it is. (giving money to the bankers is too obvious, the’ve all been at that for decades)
“Perhaps those bible inscriptions on gunsights are but a sign of things to come….. ”
Or things past. Crusader swords had the motto “Deus vult” on the blades. We could stamp that on our military rifle barrels… that would REALLY piss the Muslims off!

Once again you demonstrate your idiocy
