.. As I predicted several years ago, the banking crash would translate directly into a collapse in the government bond markets of countries participating in the banking credit bubbles. Even though many actors within this dramatic crash pretend it was all the fault of home buyers defaulting on loans, this crash was caused also by vast government overspending and corporate take-over games in the US/EU/Japan economic system. The Japanese carry trade lending system is now buried nearly entirely in conversations about ‘what caused this mess’ even though there is some emerging fears that Japan’s 2 decade mess is now the model for our own messes.
.
ΩΩ What is particularly annoying is how the GOP authors of the US government debt balloon are now telling us we have to slit our throats to pay for grotesque tax cuts for the very rich: Coburn: Control Government Spending or Face ‘Apocalyptic Pain’ – FoxNews.com
- Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., who recently issued a report on government waste, warned that the U.S. only has about three or four years to get its fiscal house in order or it could find itself facing austerity measures seen in Greece, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and earlier in Japan.
..
ΩΩ Japan continues to quite literally die: Japan to cut pension benefits amid deflation › Japan Today: This is so very obvious. If Japan has to balance its government spending which is now running very, very deep in the red, it has to cut money going to the elderly who are an increasingly bigger and bigger percentage of the population. After making it nearly impossible for anyone below the upper class to have more than one child or in the case of young workers, impossible to have any children at all, the money at the base of the pyramid is now nearly gone, it can’t be squeezed any further so attention is going towards decapitating the other end of the population spectrum.
..
ΩΩ I would suggest the final plan will be the elimination of most of the population with the very rich industrialists at the top living in a Japanese museum/park while running foreign factories and using robots at home (a common theme in many Japanese anime, by the way!) while exploiting foreign labor and foreign markets. Why even bother with a domestic market when all you need is a small population of servants and sexual toy humans?
..
ΩΩ This is not unknown! In Britain, in the years of population removal from the great estates which went from collecting small rents from peasants to running sheep herding operations, millions of farm families were literally forced at sword point to move into already crowded cities where they were then often deported to distant lands after being arrested for social crimes. Meanwhile, instead of having many farmers working the land, the great estates became socially very isolated with only servants and staff. Huge cathedrals ended up in glorious isolation with no congregants outside of the Lord and Lady and their staff. We see these today, once sitting in the center of villages and towns now all alone and totally abandoned even by the Lords and Ladies who all got quite bored and moved to London to socialize with each other.
.
ΩΩ Back to the right winger, Coburn, the man directly responsible for our government going bankrupt:
- “The history of republics is they average 200 years of life. And they all fail in the history over fiscal matters. They rot from within before they collapse or are attacked,” Coburn told “Fox News Sunday.”
- “The problem that faces our country today, the last 30 years we have lived off the future, and the bill is coming due,” he added. The senator, who was recently elected to a second — and he pledges — final term in Congress, said he’s not trying to scare anyone, but eliminating waste in the federal government’s ledgers is imperative not just to prevent default but a massive implosion that he defined in catastrophic terms.
ΩΩ Even if we were so stupid as to cut off all social spending and fire most Federal workers, this would do no good at all since monsters like Coburn will simply cut his own taxes and the ruling elites, the very rich will applaud this. They are nervous about this process to the point of pretending they will voluntarily give up some of their vast wealth to save the government from bankruptcy but this is all cover for the theft of public services.
.
ΩΩ Just as the very rich exporters in Japan refuse to pay for Japan’s government’s debts, so it is here. The focus of the elites, the very rich in the US is not at home. It is abroad. This is where most of their profits are made. So, instead of building the domestic markets, they have declared this dead and either the population ceases to reproduce or they will be forced out.
.
ΩΩ Right now, many people from very poor nations which are trying to get rid of peasants (due to no birth control) are migrating to the US so they can use our social systems. Many millions have done this. To chase them back out again as well as get rid of excess non-farming peasants here (the inner city people), the government has to make life extremely unpleasant and there are two tools for this: inflation via increasing the money supply which raises inflation of essential survival things such as food and fuel and cutting social spending.
.
ΩΩ Just like when Ireland was cleared of 1/2 of its peasant population via starvation, disease and deportation, the US and Japan have to be cleared of its human overhead population that may menace the ruling elites. There is a lot of paranoia on line in some sectors about this business. It has been exploited by anti-vaccinationists. Alas for their theory that vaccinations are being used to kill us, it is the exact opposite. This is interesting to me since the entire concept strikes me as insane.
.
ΩΩ It should occur to the anti-vaccinationists that some of the top people pushing this odious belief happen to be…very, very rich! Ahem. Yes, they are rich and often live in Hollywood, for example. The idea that vaccinations which reduced the global child mortality rate from around 50% to less than 2% is due entirely to vaccinations which is why there is this huge population surge in poor countries that have poor sanitation but are covered by vaccinations via WHO and the UN.
.
ΩΩ Now the elites are alarmed at this huge population bulge in much of the third world. Anyway, back to reality. The US population is increasingly useless to the elites since one of our main uses is now military fodder for global wars. Study: Nearly a quarter of takers fails Army entrance exam – CNN.com: this is merely the written exam results. Not only is the education too poor, another 25% fail due to poor physical condition.
.
ΩΩ If too many fail, this is a red light to the elites about the utility of the underclass. That is, many of them are already rendering themselves useless as either servants or soldiers due to the wild spread of ‘gangsta’ culture coupled with a lazy work ethic culture (thanks entirely to the destruction of industrial jobs) and now, the level of education is dropping so badly, most are useless in this area. Once this goes past 50% of the applicants in military/industrial jobs, foreign mercenaries will be used and the remaining industrial jobs in military manufacturing will also move overseas.
.
ΩΩ Naturally, the GOP blames the Democrats for lending too much money to the collapsing middle and lower classes: Republican Panelists Dissent on Causes of Crisis – NYTimes.com. Oh, if only we never lent any money to the lower 50% of the nation, all would be well! HAHAHA. Of course, the idea that the Japanese carry trade was flooding international investment banks which used the pirate islands run by Queen Elizabeth II to cause this immense dump of debt onto corporations isn’t even mentioned by the GOP. This is no surprise, the GOP’s support base that gives them money happens to be the crooks running this system in the past and who are now using the US Fed as the carry trade base for further economic expansion that hurts the US domestic economy.
.
ΩΩ Here is yet another example how Congress screws things up to preserve jobs in their own states even if this destroys the government or messes up future plans of expansion: NASA: NASA must spend $500 million on canceled rocket program – OrlandoSentinel.com
- But under a new NASA plan signed into law by President Barack Obama in October, there’s no guarantee that the new rocket required by that plan will use solid-fuel propulsion. And, in fact, many in the agency say a liquid-fueled rocket would be cheaper, more powerful — and safer.
- The money to ATK is part of the $1.2 billion NASA will spend on its canceled Constellation program from Oct. 1 through March. Most of the rest will go to Lockheed Martin, which is building the Orion capsule intended to take astronauts into space aboard whatever rocket NASA selects. That program was largely spared by the new NASA plan….At the root of the problem is a 70-word sentence inserted into the 2010 budget — by lawmakers seeking to protect Ares I jobs in their home states — that bars NASA from shutting down the program until Congress passed a new budget a year later.
.
.
ΩΩ The very rich continue the process of turning former US corporations into international operations that get bailed out or protected by our government while becoming essentially foreign operations: Job Market Booming Overseas For Many American Companies
- The trend helps explain why unemployment remains high in the United States, edging up to 9.8 percent last month, even though companies are performing well: All but 4 percent of the top 500 U.S. corporations reported profits this year, and the stock market is close to its highest point since the 2008 financial meltdown.
- But the jobs are going elsewhere. The Economic Policy Institute, a Washington think tank, says American companies have created 1.4 million jobs overseas this year, compared with less than 1 million in the U.S. The additional 1.4 million jobs would have lowered the U.S. unemployment rate to 8.9 percent, says Robert Scott, the institute’s senior international economist….American jobs have been moving overseas for more than two decades. In recent years, though, those jobs have become more sophisticated – think semiconductors and software, not toys and clothes.
.
ΩΩ Traditionally, workers endured recessions due to the promise this will end and the sun will shine again. Well, the darkness is still falling with no dawn in sight. The reason US jobs move overseas is laughably simple to understand: since the secret free trade deal with Israel back in Reagan’s day, the US has moved more and more openly to seal huge trade deals that hurt US jobs more and more and Obama is continuing this, not erecting barriers to this process.
.
ΩΩ The US media nearly totally supports this insanity. The lure is, we will all have jobs that will be for export purposes! Except the number of these jobs are smaller and smaller over the years! This plan to have us all working as exporters leads either to a collapse in our population a la Japan or US workers working for wages lower than Chinese wages.
.
ΩΩ Already in Japan, workers at the bottom live pretty much like Chinese workers in the same industries. They even have to live in dormitories! Right now, no US corporation dares to do this. But it is now inevitable since there is no other way to do things.
.
ΩΩ Now lets go to the powerhouse of the world, China. China bars English words in all publications. This story was portrayed by US media as funny. Well, the French do this all the time! In the case of France, this is an attempt at saving their language from being swamped by English. In the case of the Chinese, this is a forwards move to establish Chinese as a dominant language. It is a bold move that indicates the government’s intention to cut down US/UK cultural dominance.
.
ΩΩ This is not a move due to weakness. It is a sign of strength. By the way, the Japanese government does this all the time, too. Only Japanese is a dying language since the number of humans using it is declining. Back to Chinese power: Fresh humiliation for euro zone as China says it will bail out debt-ridden nations | Mail Online
- China has said it is willing to bail out debt-ridden countries in the euro zone using its $2.7trillion overseas investment fund. In a fresh humiliation for Europe, Foreign Ministry spokesman Jiang Yu said it was one of the most important areas for China’s foreign exchange investments.
- The country has already approached struggling European countries with financial aid, including offering to buy Greece’s debt in October and promising to buy $4billion of Portuguese government debt.
.
ΩΩThis is the very definition of ‘creditor nation’. The Japanese are worried about this because previous to hammering the elderly, the government there contentedly sold its overspending bonds to its own retirees. Now, they are so brutally squeezed by rising inflation of food and fuel coupled with supporting grandchildren who can’t get decent paying jobs, they can’t buy government debts anymore. China is now a big buyer of Japanese government debt!
.
ΩΩChina already has an armlock on the US due to buying our debts. This is why our government has to cut the deficit more. But the GOP wants more tax cuts for the rich so we are being relentlessly propelled into bankruptcy. This will not be pleasant for us since we gain nothing by going bankrupt. We shipped out much of our industrial base so it won’t recover if we have no money to rebuild it.
.
ΩΩMeanwhile, in the EU, the functional part is getting increasingly tired of the non-functional parts: Half of Germans want to axe the euro. The German public will put up with the euro but just barely. Lose too many German jobs and that will end quite abruptly. It will be a nationalist right wing government that will take over. What is so depressing about US right wing nationalists is that they are NOT nationalist at all. They are firmly indoctrinated internationalists. This contradiction is lost on desperate US workers who rush to the right to protect jobs at home only to be totally betrayed by their own leaders.
.
ΩΩEventually on the right will arise an anti-trade movement that will be also anti-job slavery. Or rather, the far left and far right will merge in a socialist movement which is why the early Nazis called themselves national socialists. The pro-illegal immigration left is dying. It has zero appeal these days even when it offers social services. This is obvious: the money for social services for infinite numbers of aliens means no social services for citizens born here in the US. The left refuses to understand the need for nationalism. Even the Russian Soviets figured out during WWII that nationalism is very important and Russia became much more nationalist and less international revolutionist.
.
ΩΩChina was a total disaster area during the Maoist revolutionary internationalist era. Since being run as a nationalist socialist society, it has taken off like a rocket. Here is the latest example: Beijing opens five new subway lines
- The five new subways lines — Fangshan Line, Changping Line, the first phase of the No. 15 Line, Yizhuang Line and Daxing Line — will have a combined length of 108 kilometers, bringing the Chinese national capital’s total metro length to 336 km.
.
ΩΩAs the US travel systems collapse, China’s rises from the ashes of world wars and civil wars to rival the best on earth. The US air travel system still limps along but security systems are rapidly turning this into a nightmare operation. Fear that foreigners will attack our systems is causing our own systems to become police state operations far more odious than the more open Chinese system. Russia’s system is more open, for crying out loud! Only North Korea rivals us as an unworkable, paranoid system.
.
ΩΩWe can’t operate at home in a fearful, collapsing system like this and lead the world in technology or infrastructure. Every penny spent on security is one less spent on upgrading transportation! The systems for protecting us from outside attacks (caused by our poor diplomacy and our many wars!) is sucking dry all money for upgrading anything, anywhere. Eventually our entire transportation system will collapse simply from the security systems strangling movement as well as infrastructure.
.
ΩΩChina is also being forced to face the issue of government corruption, something that is not happening in the US as crooks proliferate in DC: China issues first anti-corruption white paper, pledging firmer actions
- From 2003 to 2009, prosecutors at all levels investigated more than 240,000 cases of embezzlement, bribery, dereliction of duty, and rights infringement, according to the report.
- From January to November, the Party’s discipline watchdogs investigated 119,000 graft cases, resulting in 113,000 people being punished, of whom 4,332 were prosecuted, said Wu Yuliang, secretary general of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of Communist Party of China (CPC), at a press conference Wednesday.
- From 2005 until 2009, over 69,200 cases of commercial bribery — involving some 16.59 billion yuan in funds — were investigated, it said.
- In 2009, some 7,036 officials were held responsible for serious mistakes, breach of duty, and failing to manage and supervise subordinates, the report said.
- The report quoted a National Bureau of Statistics survey as saying that 83.8 percent of Chinese thought corruption was reduced to some extent in 2010, which was up from 68.1 percent in 2003….China has undergone dramatic economic and social change, and the ideas and concepts of the people have altered, leading to increased social conflict, the report said.
.
ΩΩThe spectacular fire in Shanghai is being investigated: China Detains Officials Over Shanghai Fire – NYTimes.com. This is good news. There is corruption. Unlike the US government officials who are protected by our corrupted media, in China, people are watching their communist leaders rather closely because they don’t trust them: China targets public spending on overseas junkets, receptions, cars in fight against extravagance
- China’s crack down on extravagant spending by officials has saved the country 5.7 billion yuan (860 million U.S.dollar) this year, an official with the top anti-graft authority said here Wednesday.
- To promote frugality and curb extravagant spending of public money was an important part of the work of the CPC discipline watchdog this year, said Wu Yuliang, secretary general of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC), at a press conference held in Beijing.
.
ΩΩNot only is the leadership concerned about the appearance of acting like the US government, they are also now vowing to be more open just like that lying bastard, Obama, swore he would be more open: China to improve system to disclose gov’t, party affairs: official
- While praising the important role of the spokesperson system, Wang also admitted a few officials failed to disclose news without delay or glossed up news regarding “mass incidents.” Answering a question from a foreign journalist, Wang said China will always do its best to support foreign journalists in their news reporting.
.
ΩΩAt US press conferences, if the media wishes to protect the President or leaders of our corrupt political parties, they ask only stupid questions. If they wish to get rid of someone, they turn hostile and pretend to be searching for the truth when in reality, they are trying to get rid of someone who stands in the way of the internationalists. The US government is going totally insane trying to get rid of Wikileaks for spilling the truth about international affairs and war crimes.
.
ΩΩInstead of applauding the release of this information, Hillary and Obama both condemn this as do all the GOP elites. AIPAC hates Wikileaks as does anyone who secretly controls our government. Wikileaks is NOT working for the Israelis, this should be utterly obvious which means people can be easily misled by clever online rumor mongers.
.
ΩΩWikileaks is being courted by various entities who are interested in various bits and pieces of what Wikileaks is doing even as they fight internal battles of power with their own elites. One example of this is Russia: WikiLeaks Joins Forces With Billionaire Lebedev (Update2) – Bloomberg.com
- Novaya Gazeta, the Moscow newspaper controlled by former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and billionaire Alexander Lebedev, said it agreed to join forces with WikiLeaks to expose corruption in Russia.
- Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, which publishes secret government and corporate documents online, has materials specifically about Russia that haven’t been published yet and Novaya Gazeta will help make them public, the newspaper said on its website today.
.
ΩΩThis is not working with Assange, this is using his existing services. We need many more Wikileaks and all governments should be more open. I am 100% for more openness even if people can’t figure out the obvious, it is useful for those of us who do like seeing the obvious. And it is obvious that Wikileaks is being exploited by various people for their own purposes but then, this is the nature of any open system! You can use it for whatever you want.
.
ΩΩRight now, the elites use it for their own ends and these are ugly indeed. For it will lead to a world where the elites want to remove all of the surrounding population so they can live in splendid isolation with only fellow elites to hob nob with. And an envelope of servants to do the fetching, carrying and dusting. This is what we have to fear and fight.
.
ΩΩHere is one of the earliest Japanese anime by Matsumoto about a future world where the elites hunt humans: Hulu – Galaxy Express 999: Departure Ballad – Watch the full episode now.

This needs to be shouted from the rooftops. It is precisely what they’re attempting to do. A great way for folks to explain the goal of the monitary elite simply to their friends is this: Star Trek technology for the elites…Ben Franklin technology for the rest of us.
coming up soon – bankruptcy for cities and states. this will cripple pension funds, who hold their bonds, but the real objective is to destroy public employee unions and force privatization (corporatization) of all public services which are not simply discontinued
good thing i read a lot of dystopian science fiction in my youth – as the firesign theatre has said, “THIS is the future – you got to LIVE it or live WITH it” – or, as they did not say, but as will inevitably come to pass at some point, get out of the way

Re: GOP Plans Apocalyptic Social Pain After Rich Tax Cuts
I fear that your comments on getting rid of the poor and old are very likely.
History, for example, shows the Scottish highlands were cleared of people by the landlords, Australian, US and Dutch (in Indonesia) colonial settlers did the same; Russia and China ditto for communes etc.
The ruling elite and rich think in terms of managing, creating and maintaining businesses and power to generate wealth. Therefore people become either a resource or “factor to increase production” or a cost factor depending on their enterprise context.
This leads to a manipulative and god mindset that drives the Washington malaise.
Individually, many of Washington’s and their cousins in the west are intelligent and gifted individuals.
Unfortunately, the collective outcome of their decisions become harmful to society, and stupid, because it is the result of socially pathological cultural values, politics, paradigms as well as hubris.
History is full of such examples worldwide.
We are rotting from the inside whilst China like a rejuvenated old oak tree has sprouted new leaves.
Recent photos on the new China designed stealth J-20 to equal the US F-22 and US navy confirmation that China has developed an anti aircraft carrier battle group corroborates Elaine’s comments that China has more power as a creditor nation.
In contrast US home security turns its paranoia on its citizens and we in the west posture and spend debt on military toys instead of long term power thru a vibrant economy and citizens with a stake because they are part of the majority middle class.
Singapore is a wealthy city state because nearly all of its citizens own their own home and 60% of their very competitive and profitable companies have government equity. Singapore airlines, is one of them, is run by a bureaucrat.
Social capitalism has to survive in a free market regulated by policies to protect both public and private interests have trumped the US speculative financial crony capitalism worldwide.
The above is food for thought.
why don’t you say NO?
its very easy.
No means NO!

The use of a c4 dildo is so obvious that I question the integrity of all jihadists and related security systems. Is there collusion between these two elements?
this should be utterly obvious
That’s a ridiculous argument. One that you resort to all too frequently.
Don’t worry, I wont slam the door on my way out. Wikileaks! Good grief! You can smell the bullshit from 500 yards.
ON WIKILEAKS
Manufacturing Dissent
Wikileaks has the essential features of a process of “manufactured dissent”. It seeks to expose government lies. It has released important information on US war crimes. But once the project becomes embedded in the mould of mainstream journalism, it is used as an instrument of media disinformation:
“It is in the interest of the corporate elites to accept dissent and protest as a feature of the system inasmuch as they do not threaten the established social order. The purpose is not to repress dissent, but, on the contrary, to shape and mould the protest movement, to set the outer limits of dissent. To maintain their legitimacy, the economic elites favor limited and controlled forms of opposition… To be effective, however, the process of “manufacturing dissent” must be carefully regulated and monitored by those who are the object of the protest movement ” (See Michel Chossudovsky, “Manufacturing Dissent”: the Anti-globalization Movement is Funded by the Corporate Elites, September 2010)
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ELAINE: Just wow. HAHAHA….yup, this is why the corporations and governments attack anti-global demonstrators hammer and claws. Yup. They do this because they support the demonstrators. Could have fooled me!
Sheesh. Anyone drinking this poisonous ‘analysis’ by these sorts of idiots should be….well, what do you want from us sane people? Standing reality on its head is fun! But stupid.

Great contributions! The BLOG IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD, HUH!
Of course, that was all just my humble opinion on EMS!
Am i allowed to have one?
But who funds the Chossudovskys as they make distrust of dissent the norm?
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ELAINE: Correct. They are insane or…working for DARPA deliberately spreading totally false and easily refuted information. The proof that the whole stuff about corporations and bankers manufacturing anti-globalization riots is…easily disproved by the mere action of passing out leaflets asking people to demonstrate on say, WALL STREET not on a weekend but a WEEKDAY and then get one’s head hammered into the pavement or be arrested and abused. I have been demonstrating against the State since 1966. I have a good deal of experience in police brutality (and JAIL!).
Getting rid of Glass-Steagall, changing accepted accounting standards, and allowing 30+:1 seculation:capitalization ratios is what did it, imho. Sure, there were some people who bought homes they couldn’t afford. But it could have been any bubble, after leveraging 30+:1, that could have brought the house down. The dot-com bubble wasn’t leveraged nearly to the same degree. Personally, I think it was a set-up.
Greece wouldn’t have a problem if the wealthy paid the taxes they are supposed to pay. But they don’t. What are the Chinese going to do about this? Skin a few shipping magnates to terrorize the rest into paying up?
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ELAINE: 100% correct. Here in the US the rich also don’t pay taxes. They spend a lot of money bribing Congress to do this for them.
Speaking of getting rid of peasants.
So, what if of a population of about 2 million, 500,000 are outsorced by the elites as emigrants? What passes as culture under such circumstances?
Pop? Opera? Folk? Urban? Rural? Green? Gray?
I see grey, and dull, and little cheer. That about describes our times, at the same time as it tells us that for a great number of centuries we have been charging into a fog blindly trusting mother is waiting. I hear no ahead, and no one is calling.

Well, every now and then a good lie is necessary and Wu Wei even though you denigrated me once, I pretty much agree with just about everything you said.
Can’t wait for 2011.
Free money for everyone. Zimbabwe has a huge pile of billion dollar notes to sell to us. Dirt cheap.
Fraud by the elites continues unpunished by a corrupt and complicit government. In June, 2009 Goldman sachs ‘repaid’ its $10 billion TARP loan (which imposed restrictions on pay and bonuses) by unloading $11 billion in illiquid, toxic mortgage-backed securities to the Fed. During the following 3 months, the Fed purchased another $27 billion in worthless MBS from Goldman. In all,the Fed/taxpayers purchased over $100 billion in toxic MBS from Goldman during the year following its sham “re-payment” of TARP — sham in that the re-payment used worthless assets.
Didn’t private investors (including the many who sold Goldman and other big bank stocks short based on a correct understanding of their balance sheets) have a right to know that the Fed was secretly re-capitalizing Goldman? Did the public not have a right to know that, through its apparently endless appetite for buying MBS junk, the Fed was helping to produce Goldman’s “perfect” trading record during this period?
The whole MBS caper is shot through with wholesale fraud and criminal consipiracy. Supporting Elaine’s thesis, it has enabled an elite land-grab from the peasantry of massive proportions.
Through the insertion of a nifty little agency called MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registry System),a shell corporation created to (1)make securitization easy, (2)quickly process massive foreclosure volumes resulting from re-fi’s that were deliberately designed to implode, and (3)defraud local towns of property transfer recording fees and taxes, MBS’s are actually NOT backed by mortgages at all. They’re unsecured debt, since ownership of the note has been transferred many times along the road to securitization without properly recorded transfer fees and taxes. Which constitutes a Representation and Warrant violation, as the MBS’s state that a “secured” debt was purchased, although the MERS trustees do not have the notes (and would owe fees and taxes on them if they did).
Therefore, the purchaser (Fed, Taxpayer, whomever) is fully entitled to turn the MBS back to the bank as a fraudulent transaction.
Which will happen when pigs fly.
Arrest them all! 2011: time to prosecute elected and unelected officials, corporate thieves and other scum who perpetrate massive fraud and brazen looting of public and private wealth.
Happy new year, Elaine! May the blog serve you well again this year!
Yes, we bailed out the big five international banking houses who happen to be the ones who created the Derivatives Beast and like in Europe all of this was capitalized by the central banks who capitalize themselves via the wholesale looting of the public.
This has a bad, bad ending.
Thank for sharing. Keep writing..
Elaine – you always go on about you beloved Chinese. If you love the Chinese so much, why don’t you move there?

I am curious. I was often fascinated by the fact that Ireland and Scotland were once densely populated areas before they became sheep herding wastelands.
If this is to happen here, or in Japan, then where are the people supposed to go? There are no more colonies or Australias waiting out there to be colonized by dispossesed peasants. Where will they go?
Also, any attempt by one group to colonize another landmass will be opposed by natives who have access to the same kinds of weapons as those who arrive with a one-way ticket to nowhere. It is no longer a case of guns against spears, but AK 47′s against AK 47′s.
The rich oligarchs will move to wherever they feel safe, just like they did under the British Empire, but eventually they will be cornered and looted themselves. There are too many peasants this time around and nowhere for the rich to hide for long.
More likely than not, the rich will have their chubby round necks slit by their own bodyguards, who will simply take their wealth and set themselves up as warlords. And why not? Why serve some fat idiot when you can become “master” yourself?
Not a pretty picture of the future, but, historically, an accurate one.
Hey Devaul,
One time a long time ago I said:
“You can Post”
and when I said it, I meant it. So it goes without saying that I respect you, and I do Elaine, and as I respect so many others here.
So what does this mean if it means anything. Are we just talking on a web of foolishness? I don’t think so. I think we are communicating in a way that has never before been and this is evolution in action. Darwin had his ideas from his time, but lest be honest Kropotkin took it to another level, and he was correct.
Either that, or we will all soon die at the hands of a few bitter women, and frankly, if I lived in Kentucky I would not accept this. No way. The bitter old woomen who think 2012 is going to be the end are fixing to learn a hard, hard, lesson about survival.
Seems simple to me and now that I have posted once in 2010 and once in 2011 I will keep my word to Elaine……unless one day I share with her and her husband some Irish Meade on the porch…..and that I hope one day happens.
Peace,
Ken
Devaul – you have my respect for what it means.
Sorry for all the foolish typos in the message above, but typos happen.
Rise above the typos and recognize peace when it is trying to emerge.
2011 will be the antithesis to 2010 and 2012 will be a Renaissance because there are some of us with children and we care about the future!
Mean Republicans will get their due, but as I said so many times before both the Dems and the Repubs are on their way OUT! Who needs them anymore and for that matter who needs the made up city of DC.
It is all an illusion, but not for me.
Some things withstand the test of time and all balloons either pop or diminish in time.
SIMPLE.
Hi Ken! Long time no see, no hear. Hope you are ok.
Not sure why you respect my post, as it was mostly a question. I looked up the name you dropped. You overestimate my historical knowledge. Sounds like an interesting man, if not a principaled one.
Many of my friends and associates have called me an anarchist before, but I confess I do not fully understand the meaning of the word, nor can I define it. I do agree with Kroptopkin that “mutual aid” is far superior to “rugged individualism”, which is just a modern day version of “every man for himself”. A society based on that will not survive for long.
Witness the USA right now.
Decades ago in the early ’60′s, sociologist James C. Davies laid out seven conditions for revolution that were present in Cromwell’s Puritan revolution, the Amerian, French and Russian revolutions. These seem to be present today.
The 7 conditions include:
1) Economic bubble followed by a crash. Peoples’ soaring expectations of prosperity and growth dashed, creating an ugly social mood. And, to your point, the apocalyptic pain that will be caused by dismantling the New Deal, coming soon.
2) Open class warfare, wherein the elites nakedly exploit others in ways that threaten their future. Witness the wealth gap, off-shoring of manufacturing and white collar tech jobs, and the recent Wealth Care plan handing out big tax cuts to the Fat Cats. Home re-fi loans deliberately designed as time bombs, then packaged and sold as AAA securities.
3) A well-educated upper-middle class that feels disaffected and perceives that they’ve been deserted by their leaders. Boomers and Gen X’ers with historically high educational attainment have seen career opportunities thwarted, their savings and pensions decimated, and the tax code unfairly tilted in favor of giant corporations, outlaws and Wall Street sociopaths. Many of these intellectuals are blogging about what they observe, gathering a following … the pen is mighty, indeed.
4) Incompetent government. Gerrymandered districts. Bush v Gore vote fraud. Katrina. TARP. Iraq. Afghanistan. Guantanamo. Trade policies. Tom DeLay. “Austerity” forced on the Irish and European middle and working classes, to bail out the misdeeds of greedy and incompetent elites who continue to enjoy the spoils of their misdeeds.
5) Failure to lead by the ruling elites. Obama was elected on a promise of Change, but has delivered the third term of George W. Bush. Malinvestment in a failed corporate paradigm and in the war machine continues unabated, as the recent capers in Korea, Pakistan and elsewhere reveal. We face serious problems in crumbling infrastructure, crises in 21st century green technologies and education, but our leaders continue to divert resources into war, oil and off-shored slave labor camps.
6) Fiscal irresponsibility on a grand scale. “Starve the Beast” brings bailouts to the rich and incompetent, gruel and water for the remaining 98%. ‘Let them eat cake’ is the new Republican mantra, even as millions of well-educated, highly trained workers face 100+ weeks of unemployment … and get blamed by the likes of Newt Gingrich as ‘lazy and spoiled.’Malinvestment continues through the war machine, as we spend billions to blow up infrastructure across the globe while ignoring crumbling roads, bridges, railways under our noses.
7) Unfair and inconsistent use of Law and force. Failure to prosecute open fraud on the part of the Fed and Wall Street, while millions serve long sentences for minor drug offenses.Julian Assange wanted by Interpol on condom charges, while the U.S. spies on diplomats and violates Geneva Convention with impunity. Israel continues its genocidal policies and stockpiles nuclear weapons, absent the accountability applied to others.
You are right, Elaine. This ends badly.
@Bob … what a silly comment about moving to China.
Elaine simply observes that the Chinese leaders are very, very careful to keep food and water and the perception of rising opportunity for the masses of their people … they invest in visible infrastructure projects and green technology, rather than in infrastructure destruction and Waste-based Oil technologies. They know that if the people are abused too much and perceive that things are deteriorating rather than improving, there is trouble ahead.
Would you rather pretend that all’s well on the Western front, by not talking about the important factors that affect our futures? Do you think are leaders have been doing a heckuva job?
You’re a good little GOP apparatchik, aren’t you?
So every now and then a claire_voyant comes along, and what does it mean? Who will listen to what a wise one has to say?
Will Wu Wie listen. Will the Scots? Nah? Hand in reverse. Will Elaine? Who knows what she listens too. She just mainly gripes about this and that. Will this message be posted. Well if it does does not depend upon me. I’ve done my chores.
You see….what IT depends upon depends upon what we all think it depends upon and there-upon lies the quandary upon which I spoke upon earlier and which remains as such forevermore…and in this way it will always be a mystery no matter what anybody else has to say. This is not complicated unless you make it as such.
So then, when the black hole is about to pull everything and I mean everything in… at that very moment what do you think will happen….I will tell you sometime later.
Huh?
What do you think will happen?
It will either be love or it will be total destruction. Seems simple to me and the choice is not mine becuase I have already made my choice a long time ago, and so from that standpont I could give a flip about the rest of you all.
I choose love. I choose life. I choose. No matter who says what and what anybody says about choice. Don’t try to sway my butt, because my butt has been through it.
Amen, awomen, and so on and so forth.
I don’t know why I am wasting my time here talking about this and that becuase I have already said all that I have to say elsewhere and in that I will rest in peace.
DC can shove it up DC’s DisConnected self. So evident that if you have read even a single book or two you would know, and funny thing is, so many of us already do…..
WE KNOW!

Re: …You are right, Elaine. This ends badly….
Thank you for the incredibly rich and varied responses that are a pleasure to read and ponder.
Bob, I believe Elaine is simply highlighting the successful rise of China because she loves the US and frets about its decay and its negative impact on her country.
I too fear that Australia is on a similar sliding slope and do not begrudge China’s rise.
It’s a question of being competitive and maintaining our own social well being in a changing world.
I suggest, denial by invoking the ostrich head in the sand strategy is self-defeating?
The prescient comments of DeVaul and Claire crisply highlight the core concerns very well – in my view.

Change is good, unless your a white knuckled sociopath uncomfortable in a leadership role where your commonly referred to as corrupt/ignorant unsure of your next meal under a new paradigm.

people are probably going to face the law before the nation crumbles… and if the embezzling is as bad as it looks while people are forced to accept 20% unemployment, before the unjust realize losses on bad credit… ownership will reassert itself another way

WHY WOULD THE GOVERNMENT ALLOW SUCH A SHAKEN FAITH IN PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS

i doubt martial law would last a week
my bet is on recovery tho… i cant imagine that our national leadership and services are just belligerent assholes exiled into unwinable scenarios they cant see… theres collateral in the ‘agreements’ somewhere, or were broke after 60 or so years of our greatest achievements-which i dont think is likely

Re: ….There are no more colonies or Australias waiting out there to be colonized by dispossesed peasants. Where will they go?…
I forgot to provide a comment to your excellent question.
There are several strategies to “sequester” dispossessed “peasants ….apart from genocide and eviction presently practiced by Israel on the Palestinian people.
One is to expand the strategy used in the US and Australia underclass American Indians, Americans of African descents and Australian First People the Aborigines by entrenched prejudice and institutionalized and informal barriers to gaining skill-sets and value systems underpinning drivers towards attaining high level education etc.
The other is to return to the British class system and debt peonage.
History shows it can be a stable society and even underpin empires such as the old British Empire ….note the US Empire today relies on mostly rural poor Americans to recruit its soldiers and debt peonage is increasing.
Eliminating the Magna Carta provisions reinforced by new “:normal cultural values” and media propanganda does wonders and is as isolating as geographic gulags?

i never like columns that start with generic GOP bashing. part of the reason that we are in the incredible mess that we are in is because demagogues refuse to realize that both sides are PRO BIG GOVERNMENT and that GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM. the bailouts were engineered and facilitated by the elite in government. IT DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN.
i may not like the big corporations but they have no actual power over me, as opposed to the government. the destruction of the private sector is happening because the government is growing in size and scope. the government is sucking the wealth out of the private sector and the private sector is now starting to crumble and this is why it will not end well.
IMO,wikileaks is just trying to stir things up and make the world less stable. i think most of us understand that wars represent at their most basic level a transfer of wealth.
Corporations have tremendous power over everyone. When ‘counterculture’ people run off to buy stuff from each other, guess what happens next?
These outfits become…Big Pharma (selling, say, herbs, for example) and then join existing corporations which are all the same thing. This is why systems analysis is so important. You cannot exist outside of this system. Even the Amish do this, by the way (yes, they are part of the corporate system, too!).
This is why we can’t ignore systems but must change them when they operate against our survival. We can’t just evade them.
i just think that we have to identify where the top of the problem is, and that is the government.
governments have the ability to regulate, the ability to enforce, and the ability to prosecute. (all of which our government seems to be really lousy at, as evidenced by the goldman sachs observations laid out by claire voyant).
i still think it isn’t too late for this country to get back on track, but we do need more than the 2 party system and i think we are slowly headed in that direction.
EMS said “This is why we can’t ignore systems but must change them when they operate against our survival.”
Yet you want money to be created as debt by private individuals who we have to pay interest over something they created out of thin air.
QUITE THE CONTRADICTION. You want an unsustainable financial system and always defend the private bankering scum (Rothschild, Warburg et al), but feel we need to change the system when it works against us. Well, EMS, the current system is working against us in the worst possible way and only profits those who create and control the money supply. Only a blind fool is unable to see it.
Knowing you’re not blind, one can only guess what your motives are for not “wanting” to see it.
ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ
ELAINE: You can’t create debt unless it is based on capital. To lure capital you have to have a reason to have people with savings, putting this into the lender’s hands. To lure this money in, you have to pay savers something. This is called ‘interest’. The US turned this on its head using ‘interest’ to stop inflation. Inflation happens when too many loans with virtually no savings is handed out like candy.
The lending DEBASES THE SAVINGS. If you don’t care about the value of ‘money’ then lending infinite amounts with zero interest is lots of fun. But kills the ‘currency’ in the bitter end and this leads to social chaos and war.
@Wu Wei
How exactly are Rothschilds controlling the money supply in China for example?
As for these money masters videos.
What happens to the interest you pay to the bank? Does it vanish somehow?
Money vanishes when debts are paid off, not when you pay interest.
You see
The Rothschilds don’t control China’s money. The communists control it. With an iron grip.
Interesting post and very interesting comments. Elaine has (again) hosted quite a disorderly discussion… the best kind.
Re Assange — a fake storyline with some truth (content in the cables was all true). Limited hangout. What has been revealed is obvious and predictable to anyone paying attention. Was anyone here shocked that the US govt (Clinton state dept) was spying on fellow diplomats and foreign govt officials? What was more interesting to me was the “dog that didn’t bark” that is what was not revealed. For instance, nothing on Aipac (Rosen) spying scandal. And nothing nada on 911. I mean nothing! Two huge stories…no dirt, zero. Are we to believe there is absolutely no backstory, no dirt, no deals regarding these enormous inflection issues?
The only thing obvious about Assange is that he is meant to be a personality we should embrace as an internet martyr or truther. And that his personality is sucking the oxygen out of true story – the data. I don’t buy it — and I will NOT be buying his forthcoming book. Elaine you deserve a signed copy of his book for all your (undeserved in my view) defense of him. Cult of personality works every time as a distraction. Assange/Wikifreak reveals only the tip of the iceberg of corruption and deceit. Just enought to gain celebrity. What do any of us really know of Assange? good or bad.
I await wikileaks bank blockbuster reveal….waiting for the MSM to release that one. Hmmm, now why wouldn’t wikileaks just dump that on the internet, why would wikileaks arrange with MSM their info distribution? Or maybe info will be in Assange’s book.
Oh yeah, MSM hinting strongly that BofA is the “bad” bank, right? Huge whisper campaign by press. Time to hate BAC…which is the ONLY surviving megabank that is truly an american immigrant startup, not based in europe or ny, with a former ousted CEO who butted heads with the Bernanke/Paulson/Geither cerebus. We in Charlotte, NC know quite well that BofA was never embraced or trusted as an equal in the international megabank club. I suppose its time to wrestle Merrill away from BofA now. We shall see…
Re China — Elaine, I love your analysis of China. I think you are so insightful and unemotional in your examination of what chinese are doing, quite counter to US and europe. We are meant to “hate” China. Hate that they are manipulating currencies as is that’s the only obstacle to US full employment, trade and general prosperity. HAHAHA! At least China’s central bank is “owned” by china; US govt pays interest to FED which has really profited from all this QE2 lending to US govt.
Elaine, again you are SOOO right when banks transfered their losses to US and eur govts, they brilliantly got all of us to pay handsomely for their mistakes. Talk about a diabolical plot…..now that’d be a blockbuster and worthwhile reveal if Wikileaks had that data!
Anyway…my two cents to the discussion. I love your blog Elaine. Your perpective is very original, fresh and I mostly agree with you.
Happy New Year.
There are no 9/11 memos because these memos are foreign diplomatic memos and are being released very slowly! On top of this, there probably are no ’9/11′ memos in the first place since 99% of the stuff our own state department does is on behalf of Israel. So there are lots of Israel memos that are just beginning to show up. There will be more.
Of course, ridiculous conspiracy theories cook like crazy in the absence of any real information.
Capitalists love social chaos and war.
The key to big profits is to buy when there is blood in the streets.
Wrong. The elites HATE turmoil at home!!!! And they fear their own blood running in streets. This mess is what happens when people are stupid. They managed to save their own wealth but they want us all very quiet, not noisy about this.
EMS said “You can’t create debt unless it is based on capital.”
Again, you view money as debt. Money is NOT debt. This is the supreme fact you fail to understand. Unless you truly understand what money is, you will always stay stuck in the box created by the elite on how to view money. That box is money is either debt or a commodity. It is neither. Money is a legal institution and therefore belongs to the government, as in the people.
View money as debt and tada, those who issue and control it, will profit at the expense of everyone else.
View money as a commodity and tada, the wealthy will now get to control the money.
Now your infinite wealth retort is ignorant. In this new financial system, we will LIMIT and put a CAP on the money supply. THERE WILL BE NO INFINITE MONEY OF ANY KIND. How can we measure value if our rule of measure is unstable and liable to external forces?! INSANE! So, money should be limited, but flow freely enough to allow for a healthy growing economy.
Also, another thing. If THEY (Rothschild, Rockefeller et al) can create money out of thin air, then the government can create money out of thin air. As it is above, so it is below
@JT, yes, China’s bank is owned by China unlike most of the rest of the world BUT they still cannot issue their own money freely because of the floating currency standard. Henry CK Liu, the greatest economic mind of today explains it very well, please read it:
“Central banking insulates monetary policy from national economic policy by prioritizing the preservation of the value of money over the monetary needs of a sound national economy. A global finance architecture based on universal central banking allows an often volatile foreign exchange market to operate to facilitate the instant cross-border ebb and flow of capital and debt instruments. The workings of an unregulated global financial market of both capital and debt forced central banking to prevent the application of the State Theory of Money (STM) in individual countries to use sovereign credit to finance domestic development by penalizing, with low exchange rates for their currencies, governments that run budget deficits.
STM asserts that the acceptance of government-issued legal tender, commonly known as money, is based on government’s authority to levy taxes payable in money. Thus the government can and should issue as much money in the form of credit as the economy needs for sustainable growth without fear of hyperinflation. What monetary economists call the money supply is essentially the sum total of credit aggregates in the economy, structured around government credit as bellwether. Sovereign credit is the anchor of a vibrant domestic credit market so necessary for a dynamic economy.
By making STM inoperative through the tyranny of exchange rates, central banking in a globalized financial market robs individual governments of their sovereign credit prerogative and forces sovereign nations to depend on external capital and debt to finance domestic development. The deteriorating exchange value of a nation’s currency then would lead to a corresponding drop in foreign direct or indirect investment (capital inflow), and a rise in interest cost for sovereign and private debts, since central banking essentially relies on interest policy to maintain the value of money. Central banking thus relies on domestic economic austerity caused by high interest rates to achieve its institutional mandate of maintaining price stability.”

Wikileaks have yet to reveal that the FED is privately owned.
Wikileaks have yet to reveal that infinite free energy exists.
Wikileaks have yet to reveal that on 9-11 explosives have been used.
Wikileaks have yet to reveal that Einstein was wrong.
Wikileaks have yet to reveal that the CIA is the greatest drug lord on our planet.

The Faults of Fictional-Reserve Banking
Thorsten Polleit
http://www.silverbearcafe.com/private/12.10/fractional.html
Now let us turn to fractional-reserve banking. It means that a bank lends out money that clients have deposited with it. Fractional-reserve banking thus leads to a situation in which two individuals are made owners of the same thing.[3]Fractional-reserve banking thus creates a legal impossibility: through bank lending, the borrower and the depositor become owners of the same money. Fractional-reserve banking leads to contractual obligations that cannot be fulfilled from the outset.
As Hoppe, Block, and Hülsmann note, "any contractual agreement that involves presenting two different individuals as simultaneous owners of the same thing (or alternatively, the same thing as simultaneously owned by more than one person) is objectively false and thus fraudulent."[4] A "fractional reserve banking agreement implies no lesser an impossibility and fraud than that involved in the trade of flying elephants or squared circles."[5]

So do you think the GOP still has apocalyptic social plans of pain?
Ken
So, there is no answer to my question, and that I have become accustomed to. No big deal really.
Now then what was it that I was thinking about the GOP and Dems…..oh, I dun said all that crap along time ago.
And I meant everything that I said! Still do.
So what I said is that I think both of these tired old parties are on their way OUT! Good riddance because better ideas are waiting in the wings….
Ken
This is my guess.
1. The folks in Wisconsin will prevail.
2. The GOP ought not have elected that fella from Wisconsin.
3. The DEMS will go down first.
4. In flames.
5. The GOP will follow shortly thereafter.
6. The supremes on the court of thier own making will unravel into their own personal disarray. Serves them right. At least the ones who have already been identified.
7. Congress, which we all know is broke, will finally break in an obvious way for all to recognize — those who don’t already.
8. A convention will be held.
9. Madison will not be there, but we will all wish that he was.
10. Franklin will attend.
11. Washington will be history.
12. Charlotte is an up and coming city.
13. Narrows is the place to be!
Peace,
Ken
* that makes five and the f*cK*nG Fifth Fleet needs to move out to sea pretty soon if it wants to survive. I sure hope they make it and I can tell you this about missiles of modernity, but I won’t because I’m in an itty bitty sub and this my friends will defeat any missile you send my way!

Geesh.
What a joke.
a four and a four is a mean combination around a single one. Makes for 9 which is Fluorine, and that chemical is most reactive.
Elaine,
Perhaps you were correct. Perhaps apocalyptic plans of social pain are being formulated in the minds of a few.
Well then, I reckon it is time to put an end to that!
I’m on your side Elaine!
Peace,
