Washington DC Grinds To Total Halt

The far right wing Tea Party has, as I feared two years ago, become a bastion of ‘Confederacy’ dogma in all its primitive glory.  So, they want to balance the budget but not by doing sane things such as reducing our imperial reach and cutting our military spending so it is as great as other rival nations, not greater than the entire planet’s military spending. Nor have they moved even the tiniest bit towards funding the government via tariffs and thus, stopping free trade.  No, they are shutting down the government now in order to stop…reproductive help to pregnant women who don’t want to overpopulate the earth!

Yes, this is all about antiabortionists dragging our entire economic system into the abyss so they can win an ideological battle that is thoroughly insane.  These are the ‘Kate and 8′ TV fans and church going End of Times Christians who imagine that they are saving souls this way.  These are, incidentally, the same people who believe that WWIII will bring Jesus who will kill all Muslims, Buddhists and Jews.  Thus, the need to heavily fund the Pentagon and support the increasing wars against Muslims.

Is the US government shutting down the war in Libya that is (no surprise here!) going very, very badly?  Is the US retreating from Iraq and giving up in Afghanistan and folding our tents that cost us $150 billion plus a year?  Is the US retreating from Europe which is totally capable of protecting itself?  Nay, Europe is not only able to protect itself, it is expanding colonialist wars into Muslim oil pumping nations, the Ivory Coast and other venues of greatest interest for the last 1,000 years!

If they can afford to go to war, they can certainly defend themselves, too!  And Japan: after using the US military to fund their territorial demands against Russia, South Korea and China, the US certainly should give them a goodbye kiss and depart since the Yasukuni Shrine worshippers in the Japanese elites seem to adore past battles.

No, the Tea Party, after shoving countless women into unwanted pregnancies will then attack the government for helping gays gain obviously needed civil rights and after disposing of that minority, will go onto a grand war against all other  minorities, this is certain.  The far right has little desire to balance the budget.  They will drive the government off the cliff for ideological war reasons.

I hope that the American public learns a lesson here: anyone on the far right is insane.  Cutting social services is akin to slitting one’s own throat.  I suppose one of the hopes of the far right is, inner city minorities will eventually riot and then this will give an excuse to kill them in mass numbers.  Ethnic warfare is totally supported by the US and we happily bomb foreigners or invade intact countries and then unleash ethnic war such as in Iraq, one very glaring example.  I have always feared that ethnic cleansing warfare would erupt in the US.  Since our government endorses racism in Israel and supports some of the world’s ugliest ethnic cleansing, this means it will happen here.

One reason why right wing ‘whites’ support Israel is precisely because it is all about being national socialist racists.  That is, Naziism.  This means the religious/ethnic majority, after chasing out, killing or shoving into ghettoes, other people, can then have a top-notch social services system with lots and lots of welfare for big religious bigot families.  This is exactly what is happening to Israel that gives very generous welfare benefits to families who do absolutely no work at all but product 5 or more children.

While starving Muslim or Christian children, of course, in various ghettoes.  This is totally the Nazi ideology.  They believed in ‘Lebensraum’ and encouraging women to do the ‘Kinder/Kuche/Kirche’ business.  The Tea Party was hijacked by these Nazis in the US and instead of reforming our banking system and curbing Wall Street, are unleashing both on us.  That is, they easily unite with the mainstream right wing racist GOP of the ‘Southern Strategy’ ilk to attack any social services that are modern and given to everyone.  While the mainstream GOP which is totally pro-Wall Street and anti-worker, goes merrily along with the Tea Party minority squeaking occasionally, how this has to somehow stop.

The solution is using gold coins which is childish, too.  Gold should be used to RESTRICT IMPORTS, not for internal circulation.  You need credit systems and above all, PAY INTEREST ON SAVINGS something that both Japan and the US have killed via their central banks keeping interest rates at ZIRP levels even as inflation rages.  I am pro-savings, not ‘gold hoarding’ and gold hoarders better pray their dreams of gold being used to domestic finances never comes true since this would necessitate the looting (AGAIN) of all privately-held gold stashes.

The bill, which was heavily supported by telecom giant Time Warner, comes on the heels of several communities successfully launching their own fiber-optic broadband programs. One program in Wilson, North Carolina, called Greenlight, even features speeds up to 100 Megabits-per-second (Mbps) at a lower price than its corporate competitors.

The monopolists want to prevent any competition.  This extends to banking, to energy systems, to anything we can pick out. They want ‘competition’ only if it lines someone’s pockets on Wall Street.  Bribes fed back to their political leaders is a big bonus for them.  The southern plantation type of culture clings on in the south and is like a fat snake, squeezing out the last bits of capital and wealth and handing it off to a tiny elite.

This is OK with the Jewish community on Wall Street only up to a point: money for Israel’s Nazi social/warfare system must continue to flow unimpeded.  And some rash Tea Party people like Rand Paul has made some noise about cutting this off.  This has caused the sponsors of the Tea Party to go behind the scenes and yell threats at the apostates like him.

But it is totally OK for him to attack Federal regulations protecting workers:  Rand Paul: Regulating Black Lung Could Be Too Pricey For Big Coal

In a hearing of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee, Paul also asserted that the number of black lung cases has been on the decline. But according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), in recent years such incidences have in fact been on the rise in certain areas of coal country.

“Every regulation doesn’t save lives,” Paul said in the hearing, later adding that the regulations so far have done a “pretty good job” of reducing black lung. “There is a point or a balancing act between when a regulation becomes burdensome enough that our energy production is stifled. We have to assess the costs of regulation and whether they save lives.”

What is ‘saving lives’?  Well, Rand and his gang of brain-dead followers are in absolute agony over the possible elimination of barely-formed fetuses.  But once the baby is born, they suddenly switch towards, ‘Let’s consider the economic worth of your life which is, sorry to say, nearly nil!’  Yes, it collapses to nearly $0.  If you ask a Tea Party lunatic, ‘What is a fetus worth to you?’ they would shout, ‘Millions of dollars!  Priceless!’

But if you ask them, ‘Should coal cost an extra $50 a ton (it is now around $500 a ton) in order to save coal miners from black lung?’ They would shout, ‘Hell, no!’  Mr. Paul is a delicate little blossom of a boy who has never worked with his hands like I have, never risked his life to make a living, he lives in a fabulous protected social bubble and…is totally heartless about the true costs of labor.  And death is very much a high part of this ‘cost of labor’.  In China, coal miners die like flies.

The government is now cracking down on mine safety.  In the US, mines were made safer but not safe enough as we saw recently with the mine collapse in Paul’s backyard.  Here is a new TV series about coal mining that clearly shows how dangerous it is and it is obvious, looking at the show, the workers have virtually NO lung protection at all.  The guys operating the cutters come out of the mines, their faces as black as Victorian miners:  Coal – Full Episodes and Clips streaming online – Hulu

The debate about how governments must protect us rages in all countries and all venues especially in the wake of the Copenhagen meeting whereby there was supposed to be this CO2 tax on energy which would supposedly protect us (NOT) from ‘global warming’.  The debate about the human cost of rejecting coal and oil as energy systems has raged ever since the phantom of ‘nuclear power will save us’ has collapsed along with several nuclear reactors in Japan.  Here is one article written by a man who has been so scared of a warmer earth, he is willing to inflict on us the horrors of nuclear power in unrestrained ways:  The unpalatable truth is that the anti-nuclear lobby has misled us all | George Monbiot | Comment is free | The Guardian

Over the last fortnight I’ve made a deeply troubling discovery. The anti-nuclear movement to which I once belonged has misled the world about the impacts of radiation on human health. This man parked his brains somewhere below the belt.  He is scared of a warmer earth despite the history of life on earth whereby, a warmer earth usually means a lot more life, not less life.  That is, there is more, not less, water available and more, not less, plants and animals.  Of course, the oceans will be higher but they shift all the time, sometimes extremely suddenly as the Japanese and Indonesians have discovered to their great horror.

One thing is certain: a nuclear power plant catastrophe is basically ‘forever’.  We still haven’t cleaned up Chernobyl.  It sits there, breathing out nuclear radiation from widening cracks.  Ukraine has told Europe, they should fund the extra $100 billion+ to fix a bigger, better crypt to enclose this monster.  Japan’s runaway nuclear reactions are poisoning the land, air, rain, oceans all around the planet.  I come from the position that there is no such thing as a safe dose of radiation.  We are exposed to this all over the place as it is so doubling or trebling this is insane since the background doses are already sufficient to cause genetic damage, cancer and other things.

But Monbiot is so scared of it being as warm as during the Neolithic era, he is willing to poison the entire planet.  To persuade people into doing this, he simply pretends that nuclear power doesn’t kill anyone.  This is exactly like Rand Paul: his desire to save lives is abstract and he, like Paul, is quite happy to kill people with radiation simply because…it makes economic sense.  That is, living humans are worth $0 dollars but saving the planet is very important!  This sort of thinking slips rapidly into Nazi thinking: we have to kill x number of humans to save the planet…FOR OURSELVES!  Yes, saving things so one can have the enjoyment of life and plenty means killing or destroying lots of people.

Of course, Mr. Monbiot won’t move to Hanford, Washington (the world’s biggest nuclear graveyard of a city next to Chernobyl’s graveyard) nor will he move to the evacuated villages surrounding Fukushima.  He won’t work in a nuclear power plant. He is safe at home, tucked into his little bed by mommy every night.  Like Paul, he won’t put his own life on the line by proving to miners, that a little black lung is OK.  Paul loves coal and thinks there is no global warming, for example.

The debate about coal, etc has become totally off the tracks due to the focus on global warming.  I am against coal burning in mass quantities especially for AIR CONDITIONING…because it causes ACID RAIN. We fought acid rain for years and years and got Congress to pass the Clean Air Act.  Now, all of this is crashing down due to the debate about restricting CO2.  The ‘dirty energy’ people will eventually win this debate unless it gets very, very hot very suddenly.  This depends on a hiatus in volcanic activity, something that is not going to happen.

That is, geological shifts on various fronts of the tectonic plate movements has been sufficiently great to cause auxiliary volcanic activity.  That is, volcanoes will now erupt since whole sections of the earth have shifted significantly.  Not inches but quite a few feet in a few violent jerks.  So I am predicting the northern hemisphere’s temperate climate areas will see cooler, not hotter weather for a while.

This, in turn, will kill the ‘global warming’ movement.  No shock to me since the sponsors of this movement chose to denigrate the effects of solar sunspot activity and volcanoes and incidentally, the reality of the Ice Ages which still is in force.  People, when choosing between various difficult choices, will not take into consideration, global warming if it is unusually cool, for example.  This is human nature.

China is beating the U.S. in the race to supply clean-energy technologies to the world, helped by a government bank whose advisers include Henry Kissinger.

China Development Bank Corp., which listed the former U.S. secretary of state as an advisory board member in a 2010 bond prospectus, agreed last year to lend 232 billion yuan ($35.4 billion) to Chinese wind and solar power companies. The U.S. gave about $4 billion to their American competitors in grants and offered about $16 billion of loan guarantees. Adding in private investment, China also led.

CDB, which has almost twice the assets of the World Bank, is matching U.S. expertise with Chinese financing and manufacturing prowess to dominate a market both nations say is critical to their future.

Note that Kissinger works for the commies.  He has worked for them for years and years.  Bush Sr. worked for the commies, too, for about the same length of time.  Both men went off to China under Nixon and have been operants for China ever since then.  No wonder we are in trouble today.

China’s leaders are not dumb.  Nor are they traitors like Bush Sr and Kissinger.  They would not dream of sending top officials to the US to transfer information, education, trade, factories and everything to the US.  They would execute anyone who tried to do this.  But the reverse isn’t true!  Our leaders love selling their souls to foreign powers and cheerfully decimate the US on behalf of their real owners.  I am puzzled as to why the Tea Party doesn’t attack Kissinger and Bush Sr but then, they are insane.  They hate Americans, hope we get worked to death or die of black lung disease and poison all the rivers and lakes with acid rain.

The communist Chinese go from diplomatic victory to diplomatic coup quite easily and even as the US dares not stop Japan as Japan pollutes the entire planet with nuclear garbage, China, Germany to launch inter-governmental consultation

The first such consultation, slated for July, will be co-chaired by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and his German counterpart Angela Merkel, Wen said when meeting with visiting German Vice Chancellor Guido Westerwelle in Beijing Friday….Germany and China have also coordinated well on international and regional affairs, Westerwelle said.

As the first European country to establish inter-governmental consultations with China,Germany will strive to make the first round of consultations a success, Westerwelle said.

As I said in the past, Germany is going to increasingly work without consultation or input from France and England while frantically building bridges to the East.  Russia and China are very much on German minds.  This is the future, the US is a dying dinosaur.  The Japanese will be most worried about this news.  They do not want China to have tight economic and diplomatic relations with China.  China will use this in disputes with Japan where the US always backs the Japanese, China can and will have Germany, the heart of NATO, on their side.  NATO is dying, anyway, ever since France, Italy and the UK invaded several African nations without Germany’s OK:China, Germany call for resolution in LibyaMerkel’s foreign minister to quit party post

Both China and Germany have called for a diplomatic and political solution, instead of military action to end the conflict in Libya.  Both countries abstained in a UN Security Council vote, that authorized the establishment of a no-fly zone.

Dexia SA, based in Brussels and Paris, borrowed as much as $33.5 billion through its New

York branch from the Fed’s “discount window” lending program, according to Fed documents released yesterday in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. Dublin-based Depfa Bank Plc, taken over in 2007 by a German real-estate lender later seized by the German government, drew $24.5 billion.

The biggest borrowers from the 97-year-old discount window as the program reached its crisis-era peak were foreign banks, accounting for at least 70 percent of the $110.7 billion borrowed during the week in October 2008 when use of the program surged to a record. The disclosures may stoke a reexamination of the risks posed to U.S. taxpayers by the central bank’s role in global financial markets….

…Six European banks were among the top 11 companies that sold the most debt overall — a combined $274.1 billion — to the Commercial Paper Funding Facility.  Those programs also loaned hundreds of billions of dollars to the biggest U.S. banks, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., Bank of America Corp., Citigroup Inc. and Morgan Stanley.

Having our government shut down and thus, shooting our economy in the back, won’t make these facts on the ground change except in a very bad way.  I wonder how our wars can continue if Congress shuts down the government.  If this stops the wars, it may have some feeble purpose.  I do know that the guys who want no or little government might get a valuable lesson in reality.  Naw.  They won’t.  Most people who think a tiny government is wonderful are usually swaddled in lots of cotton.  I have lived a hard life and greatly appreciate government services, having lived without it.  As I get older, I would like these services more and more, not less and less.

Telling the baby boomers to do without services after we provided these for years and years via taxes is going to lead to a reverse revolt whereby baby boomers finally figure out, we need to be like Germany, not Somalia.  But I am not holding my breath, seeing how people still are riding on fears of the future, not excitement about the future being better, not a catastrophe.
