The Washington Post has a video service now that is reporting about Egypt. The lady reporter there, Abigall Hauslohner, is asked about how popular the butchery of supporters of the elected President who was violently overthrown, and she claims it is very popular in Egypt, this mass murder. She, of course, has no contacts with or interest in the Morsi voters who protested this coup. Her circle is all made of people who want Egypt run by the US and NATO on behalf of world elites!
Her claims that the army is ‘still very popular in Egypt’ is based on…her watching military-run media after Sissi closed all the rest of the media there. Basing any assessment of the ‘will of the people’ on a media run by a dictator is insane. One thing that really irritates me and shows how the media here is run by aliens who have a desire to lie to us, is how the demonstrations before the coup were immensely bloated in size by reporters wishing to mislead Americans and Europeans.
The claims that first, 10 million then 20 million and on to a totally unbelievable 30 million anti-Morsi demonstrators were filed as if this were true. What Sunday’s Massive Anti-Morsi Protests in Egypt Looked Like – Abby Ohlheiser – The Atlantic Wire from last June shows photos that ‘proved’ the demonstrations were many millions as the military claimed back then but the photos from back then look like the pro-Morsi demonstrations this month:
Basically, even with the dictator Sissi threatening the sit-in, enough people showed up just before the attack to show their own desire for the elected President to be freed from prison and restored. Sizing Up Crowds in Egypt Pushes Limits of Technology – WSJ.com: claims that several million anti-Morsi demonstrators showed up in Tahir Square was proven by statistical analysis of the amount of space available for humans showed that fewer than a quarter million could possibly fill it.
And it was filled by the pro-Morsi people this last month. Years ago, in the US, we used to use government helicopter pictures taken during anti-war demonstrations to prove these were large. So this was fixed by the Pentagon and our rulers with a simple change in the laws…outlawing citizen access to government helicopter pictures! This continues to this day.
The media and government, whenever citizens protest and our rulers don’t want this known to the general public, simply make up numbers and openly lie about the size of anti-government demonstrations. This, in turn, allows them to make up stuff in the news and declare anti-government demonstrations to be ‘small’ and ‘feeble’. On top of all this, DC is socially and economically isolated from the rest of the nation and demonstrating there requires distant travel and short stays due to the high cost of going and staying there.
The resemblance to Tiananmen Square is obvious and no one claimed even a million demonstrators there and yet, it was huge. Less than 2 million Egyptians probably were in these protests before the coup. Not 10 million or the even more ridiculous numbers. And the US and others claimed China is a repressive dictatorship when the government, after tolerating the demonstrators for over a week, did exactly what Sissi is doing today.
The weak handwringing by the pro-dictator West is amusing in a horrifying way. At no point in our history after the Civil War, has the US supported democracy in client states. We ruthlessly overthrow governments such as, after the Civil War, the governments of Hawaii, Nicaragua (creating Panama so we could build a canal there) for example. The government of Egypt was created by the British after WWI so they could control the Suez Canal.
