I am doing this article rather fast because I wish to spend several hours on a long, long article with lots and lots of graphs, detailing how free trade has not only destroyed our finances but also is destroying our education system as well as driving us insane, slowly turning us into a third world nation that has no solid knowledge of simple learning tools like science, math and history. Today, we get to talk about Ron Paul and how the Senate is killing his 1207 bill for auditing and controlling the Federal Reserve as well as Ron’s speech about Tiananmen Square—actually, I was blindsided by news that Obama is going to Buchenwald, Germany, to NOT denounce ethnic cleansing.First, Tiananmen Square: I agree 100% with Ron on this matter and very seldom do I agree 100% with any politician. There is nothing to quibble about and I am rather angry that the mainstream media didn’t say a peep about this but thank god for sites like Antiwar.com!
I rise to oppose this unnecessary and counter-productive resolution regarding the 20th anniversary of the incident in China’s Tiananmen Square. In addition to my concerns over the content of this legislation, I strongly object to the manner in which it was brought to the floor for a vote.—I wish to commend Ron Paul for choosing this particular, non-ideological stand on this issue, instead of having wild emotions, he is thinking about the PROCESS and the process matters, a lot!— While the resolution was being debated on the House floor, I instructed my staff to obtain a copy so that I could read it before the vote. My staff was told by no less than four relevant bodies within the House of Representatives that the text was not available for review and would not be available for another 24 hours. It is unacceptable for Members of the House of Representatives to be asked to vote on legislation that is not available for them to read!
Democracy has systems which are all about open debate, passing bills after reading them, public access to information being debated, etc. Every time Congress has a secret meeting, for example, where no one is allowed to talk afterwards about what was discussed, is illegal, immoral and wrong. We know about these secret sessions because both Ron Paul and Kucinich talk about this, afterwards.
Both political parties are corrupt. Both, when in power, try to destroy the democratic principals of debate. This particular resolution is all about ’emotions’ and was being passed by a corrupt Congress that allows torture and wars to run out of control, condemning the Chinese for these same things…including, of course, the suppression of demonstrators which is very, very similar to the way we abuse demonstrators here in America.
As to the substance of the resolution, I find it disturbing that the House is going out of its way to meddle in China’s domestic politics, which is none of our business, while ignoring the many pressing issues in our own country that definitely are our business.
This resolution “calls on the People’s Republic of China to invite full and independent investigations into the Tiananmen Square crackdown, assisted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Committee of the Red Cross…” Where do we get the authority for such a demand? I wonder how the US government would respond if China demanded that the United Nations conduct a full and independent investigation into the treatment of detainees at the US-operated Guantanamo facility?
BRAVO, Ron Paul! He hits every nail on the head. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for being the voice of all our objections to this sort of cynical, stupid grand standing! Shame on both parties for participating in this farce. The Chinese probably have Ron’s speech and are passing it around in the higher circles and this has two parts: it shows that some Americans can figure out the obvious and secondly, Ron Paul is dangerous because he can figure out what is going on. The Chinese leadership depends on our own politicians being corrupt and stupid.
Speaking of corrupt and stupid: Congress is all in a tizzy about Ron’s bill, HR 1207. We discussed this good bill in the past and when the economy collapsed and very obvious corruption was uncovered by events, Congress suddenly saw a huge number of people who ignored or laughed at Ron Paul, suddenly run over to Ron and join this bill and it suddenly got a flood of co-sponsors.
This caused tremendous consternation at the very top. Finally, the Democrats took control and all the goodies are falling into their laps. They desperately want to have their opportunity for evil just like the GOP leadership. The leaders probably had a secret meeting where the GOP and DNC heads discussed this pesky bill that was now beginning to sail through the system, backed by popular demand. They knew they had to debate it and this would open a 100 year old can of worms. Not to mention, it would show the public the truth, for once. A very, very dangerous bill.
For historic purposes, here is the bill, in full. Elegant, to the point and like a knife in the chest of Bernanke and the Rothshilds:
Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009 (Introduced in House) HR 1207 IH 111th CONGRESS 1st Session H. R. 1207
- To amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes.
- IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES February 26, 2009 Mr. PAUL (for himself, Mr. KAGEN, Mrs. BACHMANN, Mr. BARTLETT, Mr. JONES, Mr. REHBERG, Mr. POSEY, Mr. BROUN of Georgia, Mr. POE of Texas, Mr. BURTON of Indiana, Mr. ABERCROMBIE, and Ms. WOOLSEY) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Financial Services
- A BILL To amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes.
- Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
- SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the `Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009′.
- SEC. 2. AUDIT REFORM AND TRANSPARENCY FOR THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM. (a) In General- Subsection (b) of section 714 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by striking all after `shall audit an agency’ and inserting a period. (b) Audit – Section 714 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: `(e) Audit and Report of the Federal Reserve System- `
- (1) IN GENERAL- The audit of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal reserve banks under subsection (b) shall be completed before the end of 2010.
Ron was smart enough to know, if there was no deadline, they would never do this audit. Audit comes from the word for ‘hearing.’ Congress has ‘hearings’ which means, there is an ‘audience’ which is a word that comes from the same core word for ‘audit’. This audit has to be done in the presence of an audience, the American People. It cannot be a secret audit, it has to be… audible to the rest of us.
- `(2) REPORT- `(A) REQUIRED- A report on the audit referred to in paragraph (1) shall be submitted by the Comptroller General to the Congress before the end of the 90-day period beginning on the date on which such audit is completed and made available to the Speaker of the House, the majority and minority leaders of the House of Representatives, the majority and minority leaders of the Senate, the Chairman and Ranking Member of the committee and each subcommittee of jurisdiction in the House of Representatives and the Senate, and any other Member of Congress who requests it.
HAHAHA. They don’t mind doing this audit if it is secret. This last sentence is a death sentence for these guys.
- `(B) CONTENTS- The report under subparagraph (A) shall include a detailed description of the findings and conclusion of the Comptroller General with respect to the audit that is the subject of the report, together with such recommendations for legislative or administrative action as the Comptroller General may determine to be appropriate.’.
So, here is the latest news about this bill. Do note that the NYT and WP are saying nothing about this bill, talking about this business or whatever. And of course, this is a clue, they want this bill DEAD. They would raise a public firestorm if they wanted this bill to pass but these papers are outlets for the Bilderberger gang’s operations and so, we can plainly see, the Real Rulers don’t want Americans to know about this bill, talk about this bill or pressure Congress about this bill.
This news, by the way, is via the Huffington Post which now has a lot of funding and is probably going to replace the NYT when it goes bankrupt, I guess. [a joke here]
This article is rather odd. It gives me a headache. Since the writer couldn’t help Ron Paul, he had to be hidden from view. Then, the GOP leaders were hauled into view and the writer thought, Grassley was trying to pass this bill. But obviously, he isn’t really trying or he would be on the media all the time, talking about the importance of this bill and why it is life and death to pass it.
Instead, he allows someone to insert a clever piece of business he and the DNC leaders hoped would basically kill this bill and render it useless! They had DNC and RNC lawyers go through tons of effort, hours of brainstorming to find the least objectionable way to kill this bill.
Passing it with this innocent statement was agreed upon. They hope to pass it swiftly and censor the media or rather, the media would work hand in glove to pretend this bill was good when it was neutered and useless. They would then try to ignore Ron Paul’s objections or tell everyone in America, ‘Ron Paul and his followers are insane!’
By the way, another bill I support, pushed by Ron Paul, bless his heart:
Statement of Congressman Ron Paul United States House of Representatives
Statement Introducing HR 1866, Industrial Hemp Farming Act
April 2, 2009
Madam Speaker, I rise to introduce the Industrial Hemp Farming Act. The Industrial Hemp Farming Act requires the federal government to respect state laws allowing the growing of industrial hemp. Eight States–Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Montana, North Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia–allow industrial hemp production or research in accord with state laws. However, federal law is standing in the way of farmers in these states growing what may be a very profitable crop. Because of current federal law, all hemp included in products sold in the United States must be imported instead of being grown by American farmers.
Since 1970, the federal Controlled Substances Act’s inclusion of industrial hemp in the schedule one definition of marijuana has prohibited American farmers from growing industrial hemp despite the fact that industrial hemp has such a low content of THC (the psychoactive chemical in the related marijuana plant) that nobody can be psychologically affected by consuming hemp. Federal law concedes the safety of industrial hemp by allowing it to be legally imported for use as food.
The United States is the only industrialized nation that prohibits industrial hemp cultivation. The Congressional Research Service has noted that hemp is grown as an established agricultural commodity in over 30 nations in Europe, Asia, North America, and South America.
The Industrial Hemp Farming Act will relieve this unique restriction on American farmers and allow them to grow industrial hemp in accord with state law. Industrial hemp is a crop that was grown legally throughout the United States for most of our nation’s history. In fact, during World War II, the federal government actively encouraged American farmers to grow industrial hemp to help the war effort. The Department of Agriculture even produced a film “Hemp for Victory” encouraging the plant’s cultivation.
In recent years, the hemp plant has been put to many popular uses in foods and in industry. Grocery stores sell hemp seeds and oil as well as food products containing oil and seeds from the hemp plant. Industrial hemp is also included in consumer products such as paper, cloths, cosmetics, and carpet. One of the more innovative recent uses of industrial hemp is in the door frames of about 1.5 million cars. Hemp has even been used in alternative automobile fuel.
It is unfortunate that the federal government has stood in the way of American farmers, including many who are struggling to make ends meet, competing in the global industrial hemp market. Indeed, the founders of our nation, some of whom grew hemp, would surely find that federal restrictions on farmers growing a safe and profitable crop on their own land are inconsistent with the constitutional guarantee of a limited, restrained federal government. Therefore, I urge my colleagues to stand up for American farmers and cosponsor the Industrial Hemp Farming Act.
.Crazy, crazy Ron Paul is at it again, being sensible! My, oh my. Now, on to our allies in Germany:
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, in a rare public rebuke of central banks, suggested the European Central Bank and its counterparts in the U.S. and Britain have gone too far in fighting the financial crisis and may be laying the groundwork for another financial blowup.
Finally, Merkel does something useful. I hope she also tells us about the secret Bilderberger meetings she attended.
“I view with great skepticism the powers of the Fed, for example, and also how, within Europe, the Bank of England has carved out its own small line,” Ms. Merkel said in a speech in Berlin. “We must return together to an independent central-bank policy and to a policy of reason, otherwise we will be in exactly the same situation in 10 years’ time.” Ms. Merkel also said the ECB “bowed somewhat to international pressure” when it said last month it plans to buy €60 billion ($85 billion) in corporate bonds — a move that is modest in comparison to asset-buying by its counterparts, the U.S. Federal Reserve and the Bank of England. Details are to be unveiled by the ECB’s president, Jean-Claude Trichet, Thursday.
The Germans still have visceral memory of what happened from 1914-1945. They had some very harsh lessons during that time. The US learned many wrong lessons. We thought, might is right. Money can be manipulated. Empire is good. Killing is profitable. We turned into what Germany wanted to be, back then.
There is tremendous denial going on in the US and UK. Neither empire has had to face the full fury of total collapse like Germany did. So both think, there is some weasel way out of this mess. Germany knows better.
In an address designed to change perceptions of the United States in the Arab Middle East and beyond, Obama reviewed the troubled historical legacy between Islam and the rest of the world, from colonialism through the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the uncertainty surrounding cultural and economic globalization.
“So long as our relationship is defined by our differences, we will empower those who sow hatred rather than peace, and who promote conflict rather than the cooperation that can help all of our people achieve justice and prosperity,” Obama told an audience of hundreds gathered in a domed hall at Cairo University. “This cycle of suspicion and discord must end.”…
And how will he ‘end’ this? By demanding the Palestinians give up, of course. Bush called for a Palestinian state at the UN in 2002. Then proceeded to stab the Palestinians in the back and had secret, verbal agreements to enable, fund and protect Jewish settlements in the West Bank.
Citing the destruction of 6 million Jews in the Nazi Holocaust, Obama said that “threatening Israel with destruction, or repeating vile stereotypes about Jews, is deeply wrong.”
But it is OK for Mc Cain to sing, ‘Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran’ or for Hillary to snarl, ‘We will OBLITERATE Iran’.
At the same time, he said, “it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people — Muslims and Christians — have suffered in pursuit of a homeland. . . . They endure the daily humiliations — large and small — that come with occupation. So let there be no doubt: The situation for the Palestinian people is intolerable. America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity and a state of their own.”
This is utter rubbish. The core problem is ethnic cleansing. The US has no business, endorsing, funding and militarily helping, ethnic cleansing. If Obama gave a rousing anti-ethnic cleansing speech, I would cheer him. This is pure drivel he spooned out because he wants ethnic cleansing to continue because the Jews wield great political and financial power and this is what they want.
The Buchenwald stop _ Obama is the first U.S. president to visit the forced labor camp _ was also personal. A great-uncle helped liberate a nearby satellite camp, Ohrdruf, in early April 1945 just days before other U.S. Army units overran Buchenwald.
Obama’s grandfather was with my father. He was working for my father. The Ohrdruf camp was where my father had to go into the Caves to find Nazi blueprints for rockets. My father went in there and while inside, the Soviets were fighting with the Nazis and the power plant was blown up. My father had a terrible time, in the dark.
So this is my direct connection with Obama and he is going to Buchenwald to give a speech about the Holocaust. And what was the damn Holocaust? ETHNIC CLEANSING! Will he denounce this? NO. The Jews don’t want the ethnic cleansing of Hitler to be talked about in its proper context. They want this to be SINGULAR and only pertaining to Jews, not to Palestinians or Tamils.
Buchenwald was liberated by my dad. This is because it was the death/work camp for the Nazi rocket complex! The people who died there were all sorts: French freedom fighters, Russian scientists, Dutch engineers, etc. This was NOT a Jewish death camp at all though, as the Nazis retreated, they brought in Jewish victims. This was a rocket camp set up to do work.
Will Obama talk about Operation Paperclip? NO! Will he talk about the struggle between the Soviet Armies, my dad and the Nazis? NO! Will he talk about how the complex there was not talked about at the Nuremberg trials? NO! Nothing useful will come from this visit and it ticks me off. I want these things to be done, for it connects very, very directly to my own life, why I was abused as a child [struggling with my dad over the issue of WWIII and how the Nazi death machine was transfered to the US by him] and why our own nation, rather than being the Light of Humanity is the Blight of Humanity.
We have to face the truth and talk about reality and review the past in a new light. Buchenwald is a portal to WWIII. The fact that our President, after addressing the Muslim world, rushes to this particular point on the planet is very freaky to me. It sends shudders through my body…!
I don’t know what to say here, except…this is part of the matrix of time and fate. Obama should talk to me about that week in April, 1945, when his grandfather and my dad were in that terrible place and what was really going on, there. He is the President of the USA and can order the FULL RELEASE OF ALL OPERATION PAPERCLIP materials. I wasn’t going to do this story except, when I went to the Huffington Post for the other story, I saw this one.
The connection between Buchenwald and the Apocalypse is very strong. So this alarms me. After all, the Zionist response to the Obama speech was to tell him outright, they were going to ignore everything and continue with their madcap plan of ethnically cleansing the West Bank. Period. And he should make a speech at Buchenwald, DENOUNCING THE ZIONISTS. Not enabling these neo Nazis.
Another Ron Paul speech I found today:
Mr. Speaker: I rise in reluctant opposition to H Res 282. I do so not because I oppose our recognizing peace as preferable to, and more productive than, war. On the contrary, too seldom do we celebrate and encourage the end of violence and warfare on this Floor so I welcome any such endorsement of peace in international relations. However, I cannot agree with the final “resolved” clause of this resolution, which states that: “… the House of Representatives calls for recognition of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel as a model mechanism upon which partner nations may build to overcome longstanding barriers to peace and effective mutual cooperation.” What the resolution fails to mention, and the reason we should not endorse the treaty as a model, is that at the time the peace was being negotiated at Camp David the United States committed itself to an enormous financial aid package to both Egypt and Israel in exchange for their accession to the treaty. Over the past thirty years, the United States taxpayer has transferred to – some might say “bribed” – Israel and Egypt well over 100 billion dollars as a payoff for their leaders’ signature on the treaty. Particularly in this time of economic hardship, where so many Americans are out of work and facing great financial challenges, I hardly believe we should be celebrating that which increases the strain on taxpayers. I believe we should cease all foreign aid to all countries, as it is a counterproductive and unconstitutional transfer of wealth from US taxpayers to governments overseas.
$100 billion for ethnic cleansing and getting the Egyptians to allow this crime. Disgusting. Ridiculous. I am speechless. I am glad that Ron puts a total number for this spending. The Jews in America and in Congress just upped spending on Jewish ethnic cleansing, doubling the amount we hand out to the Zionists who are committing these crimes against humanity. Will Obama be honest and give a real speech while standing at the doorway to Time?
No. Alas, he will do the bidding of the demonic forces and will say the wrong magic spell, to the intense amusement of the demons that dwell in that dark cave. And he will do this for the same reasons my dad did what he did there: the desire for infinite power to kill humanity is a great alluring thing. This gives us the power of the Gods: to be Death Gods! Ah, to kill and steal and cheat with impunity, using our nuclear armament as our stick-up gun! Israel has nukes and the nuclear armed US and nuclear armed Israel hope to destroy Iran so we can continue ethnic cleansing programs while denouncing these… so long as they are aimed at us. We don’t want to be ethnically cleansed. We will nuke anyone that tries this.
But then, the temptation to nuke people who have no nukes is very powerful. During the Vietnam War, our rulers considered doing this. The ONLY thing that stayed their hands was the fear, Russia and China would retaliate! Not committing crimes due to fear of retaliation is amoral. We should be against using nukes at all. Not, viewing them as utilitarian tools where we can nuke cities, kill lots of babies, mommies, little school girls, small boys, grandparents, pets, working fathers, etc., all in the name of Victory. This is the road to great evil. The annihilation of all living things due to lust and desire.
