Goldman Sachs claims that if anyone uses their goofy magical computer program, it will destroy world markets! ARREST GOLDMAN SACHS EXECUTIVES. Obviously, this thing they created is very destructive. They said so, themselves, in court. Anyway, the corrupt Congress is cooking up a very unfair health care system: half of the US gets inferior healthcare which features lower payments for care while half gets to have ‘extra’ insurance and thus, far better healthcare. And I talk about the Golden Goose story.

“The bank has raised the possibility that there is a danger that somebody who knew how to use this program could use it to manipulate markets in unfair ways,” Facciponti said, according to a recording of the hearing made public yesterday. “The copy in Germany is still out there, and we at this time do not know who else has access to it.”…
“Someone stealing that code is basically stealing the way that Goldman Sachs makes money in the equity marketplace,” said Larry Tabb, founder of TABB Group, a financial-market research and advisory firm. “The more sophisticated market makers — and Goldman is one of them — spend significant amounts of money developing software that’s extremely fast and can analyze different execution strategies so they can be the first one to make a decision.”
Someone could use the code “to implement the same strategies and maybe on certain stocks they can be faster and, in effect, take away money that would normally be Goldman’s,” Tabb said in a phone interview. “The second thing that they can do is actually analyze the code so that they know what Goldman’s going to do before Goldman does it and kind of reverse engineer Goldman’s strategies and make money basically at the expense of Goldman.”

HAHAHA. Oh, and what if someone figures how to be even faster than GS in ripping off the markets? Do regular investors like you or I have the ability to be super-fast so we can rip off markets? No…we have to play the game without computer wizards cooking up all sorts of amazing schemes which allows super-rich banking gnomes to have a huge advantage in markets. This is just one of many reasons why GS should be broken up and the top guys treated like Madoff. Madoff didn’t hire computer wizards to cook up schemes so he could rip off the markets.

He ripped off his own investors. The GS people rip off other investors. Madoff used the old Ponzi scheme business. GS uses the old ‘trust’ scheme business. That is, we must trust them while they rip us all off. Their investors get rich, we get poorer. The markets are not supposed to be set up so some goofy gnome hiring some wizards, can short-circuit the system. When regulators notice that GS is using super computers to manipulate markets so they get a huge advantage over other investors, the regulators must stop GS, not help them.

But GS runs the regulators. This is why we saw an immense train wreck in all markets. The people that should be stopped are running the system so they are not stopped except by one force and one force only: Libra steps in from the darkness and violently resets the scales to zero. Now, GS should have gone bankrupt last fall. All the biggest banking businesses are up to their eyebrows in the Derivatives Beast’s mighty mess. And this began to unwind to zero last September when AIG went bankrupt.

Only, our government stepped in and saved GS and the other gnomes such as JP Morgan. They got access to trillions in US dollars, protection from rivals such as short sellers, and a lot of hand holding, they were even allowed to turn themselves into public banks before reverting back to pirate operations a month ago. The Russian dual citizen (I absolutely am 100% against dual citizenship!) has rocked GS to the core. First of all, this business of a magic computer spell that funnels immense wealth to GS while it simply churns the system, was SECRET. Now, we can all see it in all its glory.

I would suggest the prosecutor in this case go after GS since even they admit, this system disrupts markets and is immensely unfair.

A senior Bank of England official today compared the banking system over the last 20 years to the South Sea bubble of the early 18th century and said bankers had merely “resorted to the roulette wheel” to keep up with each other.

The computer revolution roars ahead in banking while the regulatory system is still horse and buggy. Any parts that really regulated things were eliminated by the banking gnomes so they could use computer codes as if they were magic spells and this conjured up this ‘Golden Goose’. Well, let’s review the Cave of Wealth and Death story of the ‘Golden Goose’:

Once upon a time, there was this man who was very poor. He was granted a wish. Naturally, he wished to be very rich. So he was given a goose that laid golden eggs. When the king found out about this magical goose, he demanded it for himself. So, when the poor farmer handed the goose to the king, the king wanted to get to the source of the wealth because he didn’t want to wait every morning for just one egg at a time!

So had the goose cut open so he could have infinite wealth all at once. The goose died and the eggs ceased to be manufactured by it, one at a time. I wish to add to this story, which is very old: the real golden goose is not the stock markets. Nor is it the banks. It is the physical labor sector. The goose had to create the eggs every day. That meant, it had to eat. It had to have shelter and it had to be protected from foxes and wolves. The poor farmer did all of this. He fed the goose and protected it and it laid golden eggs.

GS and its ilk are all like the king. They want to slay the system so they can bleed it to death and cause all wealth to flow to them, not to the workers, not to the producers but to them, the leeches. They wanted to get rich via suctioning wealth out of the productive side of the system and replace capital with debts. This is why we are all dying due to economic collapse.

Moving to Canada for Lower Taxes | Cato @ Liberty
In a recent op-ed, I noted that Canada’s industrial heartland of Ontario is cutting its federal-provincial corporate tax rate to 25%, or 15 percentage points lower than the average U.S. federal-state rate of 40%.
Marginal tax rates affect economic behavior. Thus I was not surprised when I read in a Mark Steyn column that retailer Tim Hortons (essentially Canada’s Starbucks) is packing up its U.S. headquarters and moving to Ontario. The company operates 3,457 retail outlets on both sides of the border….
Note that the middle reason–”ability to expand…internationally”–probably implies tax factors as well. If the company wants to open locations in, say, Europe, it would be better that the parent company is located in Canada because of its more favorable tax treatment of corporate foreign investment than the United States.

Why, oh why, is Canada’s taxes cheaper than the US? This is a riddle the gnomes will not answer. Being traitors, they refuse to tell us the truth. Our own politicians lie about this. They all would dearly love for us to believe that the evil national health care system is responsible for bankrupting nations. But Canada is not going bankrupt! Canada has a fairly wonderful trade surplus, too. One thing Canada does not have is the Pentagon. Since they get to save a trillion dollars a year, not supporting wars and coups all over the planet earth and since they are not patrolling the Seven Seas, since they are not funding the entire protection system of Europe and Japan, Canada has low taxes!

I think I will faint from shock. We are in the midst of debating about health care and the solution has slowly evolved that we should have a DUAL system where 100 million US citizens get second-class care and 50 million get excellent care and 150 million get semi-good care only if their employers wish to give it to them but probably will end up with second class care, too. The chat in corrupt Congress is, shall they cut Medicare and Medicaid?

They want to cut these by over $200 billion. The method they will use is simple: they will drop the fees going to doctors and hospitals serving the elderly and poor. Now, they will have to slay the golden goose which means, make the working poor as weak and sick as possible and then, hopefully, after paying very high Social Security taxes, these golden geese will all die before the age of 55 years like in the Good Old Days of Yore.

There are many people who think, if only we don’t take care of Americans and let them all die younger, why, we will be in Heaven! The golden eggs will no longer come out of the goose, one by one, but will appear like magic if we program computers to outwit the markets and funnel money to the richest Americans. And have endless credit bubbles, of course. And if we get rid of the concept of Libra. Canada has a balanced budget. They export more than they import. They have comprehensive healthcare that doesn’t require an army of paper pushers to operate so it has a much lower overhead. Canada doesn’t need high taxes because they don’t have a global military. End of story. Not that anyone in America is interested in riddling out, what is really going on.

Calls grow within G8 to expel Italy as summit plans descend into chaos | World news | guardian.co.uk
Preparations for Wednesday’s G8 summit in the Italian mountain town of L’Aquila have been so chaotic there is growing pressure from other member states to have Italy expelled from the group, according to senior western officials.
In the last few weeks before the summit, and in the absence of any substantive initiatives on the agenda, the US has taken control. Washington has organised “sherpa calls” (conference calls among senior officials) in a last-ditch bid to inject purpose into the meeting.
“For another country to organise the sherpa calls is just unprecedented. It’s a nuclear option,” said one senior G8 member state official. “The Italians have been just awful. There have been no processes and no planning.”
“The G8 is a club, and clubs have membership dues. Italy has not been paying them,” said a European official involved in the summit preparations.
The behind-the-scenes grumbling has gone as far as suggestions that Italy could be pushed out of the G8 or any successor group. One possibility being floated in European capitals is that Spain, which has higher per capita national income and gives a greater percentage of GDP in aid, would take Italy’s place.

Sherpas are the schleppers who carried the stuff for Western mountain climbers. Wearing only rags and sandals, the sherpas did double the work of the heroic Western mountain climbers. Why are they complaining about the Italians? The Italians are famous for being chaotic! When I was in Germany, I heard old Nazis joke about the mistake Hitler made, allying Germany who has trains run on time like a fanatic with Italy, laid back and whose train schedules are always random. The true problem with the G8 is simple: the leaders of the G8 love to point to other countries when there is chaos and violence. But chaos and violence so envelop the G8 nations, the leaders dare not meet in public where the public has any access to the leaders. Thus, the chaos in London which led to the brutal murder of civilians who weren’t even protesting, for example.

The Bank of Korea has not purchased gold for 11 years, but is expected to go on a gold buying spree, as the world’s central banks have bought the commodity since the global economic erupted in September last year.
A Bank of Korea official said yesterday, “The bank has begun to set up a plan to manage foreign exchange reserves for next year. It has also closely watched central banks in other nations and trends in the global gold market. Given the changing global financial environment, the bank`s management plan is critical.”
According to experts, the comment implies that the bank plans to buy gold soon. Korea has the world’s sixth most foreign exchange reserves but ranks just 56th in gold holdings.

The 22 nations classified as “emerging” by index provider MSCI Inc. comprised 24 percent of world market capitalization, up from 18 percent at the start of this year, the highest proportion since Bloomberg began compiling the data in 2003. Chinashares surpassed $3 trillion yesterday for the first time since August, from $1.8 trillion at the end of 2008.
The increase signals growing confidence in developing countries as equity investors, spurred by interest-rate cuts and stimulus plans, redeploy cash after the worst U.S. losses since the Great Depression. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index rose 35 percent, beating a 2.9 percent advance in the MSCI World Index Index of developed economies and lifting the value of stocks to $8.6 trillion from $5.1 trillion in 2008.

Behold, the golden geese! They are the emerging economies. some what off topic, i traveled down to Bellingham Wa yesterday to visit the REI. From all the doomer stuff i read i was afraid i was going to have to witness poverty on the streets and a ghost town but no, that part of the US seemed to be booming. They were extending the mall area, traffic seemed heavier than ever and the parking lots were full. REI had lots of new stuff.
In Victoria BC housing is getting hot again, any positive sign here is likely to convince real estate enthusiasts that good times are here again and that naysayers are crazy.

BC is spending like bubble times on silly projects like a new stadium roof, and anything that wil encourage a real estate boom. there is some good oil and gas revenue, but i don’t know what the overall budget is like, partly out of laziness and partly they fabricate the whole thing anyway.

i wrote my congressman in favor of the national health insurance… its a big change from dummed down consumerism and im sure after 15 years noone will understand it and will want a openly fair free market system… but at least at that point the insurance industry will be shown for what it is, the ailment that needs a better cure, of which universal care or just plain old doctor owned/operated clinics/surgical centers could be fielded as a real solution…. but it takes a a few feet to put miles between yourself and narcissistic con men who feed on the credit of bloodless consumer zombies

This is a mischaracterization of Canada’s effective tax rate. Canada’s corporate rate is lower than the US, but the personal rate is extremely high.
Canada has about the population of California, not 400,000,000 people and growing immigration problems. By 2025 we will have added another 20 million people to the United States and ALL of them would get, under a national system of health care, “free” health insurance. The United States would sink under its own weight. It cannot possibly afford to tax enough to get the money that would pay for this. And the ‘freer’ health insurance is the more people would find their way to the United States.
The elephant in the room that no one is talking about is the combined indigenous population growth and the immigrant poplulation and their offspring growth.
This is national economic suicide aborning.
