Mumps Reappears In Brooklyn

The H1N1 flu situation is a complete mess.  Obama has just declared an emergency yet I can’t get the vaccination for my son!  This ticks me off no end but then, the US isn’t producing much of the vaccinations being used.  These come from foreign nations, naturally.  Also, I talk about the amazing cheerleader who claims she is messed up by being vaccinated.  Now she is so disabled, she can run backwards easily and can’t talk unless she is jogging.  Great.  I wish I could do both.  I can’t.  Maybe I need the shots so I can be like her.

Obama Declares Swine Flu A National Emergency : NPR

President Barack Obama has declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency. The White House on Saturday said Obama signed a proclamation that would allow medical officials to bypass certain federal requirements. Officials described the move as similar to a declaration ahead of a hurricane making landfall. ..

Swine flu is more widespread now than it’s ever been and has resulted in more than 1,000 U.S. deaths so far. Health authorities say almost 100 children have died from the flu, known as H1N1, and 46 states now have widespread flu activity.

Since Obama AP is feeding into NPR, I am assuming this is a public announcement and not some money making scheme for AP so they better not sue me for reporting this news which is public information.  Thanks in advance, AP.

Now, the antivaccination community believes there is no such thing as an epidemic unless it is as totally destructive as say, the Black Death of 1348.  This is a stupid level to have as a guideline. This is like saying, there is no war if it doesn’t kill many millions like WWI and WWII.  Anything less than 25 million deaths is nothing to get upset about.

Sebelius calls for updated vaccine-making process —

Four of the five manufacturers of H1N1 vaccines are foreign companies — a fact that alarmed lawmakers, who expressed concern about the ability of the federal government to secure enough vaccine to prevent the spread of the virus, known as swine flu. .

Some expressed even greater concern that the lag in vaccine production could mean the H1N1 flu shots would arrive too late to do any good, citing a recent study that predicted that swine flu infections would reach their peak this week…

….”We are still too dependent in the United States on vaccination production in other countries,” Sebelius said at a hearing on the topic. Vaccine manufacturers worldwide are “using old technology,” Sebelius explained, stressing the need to convert from egg-based to cell-based vaccine development.

In nearly every field, we end up being forced to consume foreign products.  There is zero reason why the US should have to import vaccinations.  Like with autos or food, we are quite capable of manufacturing this stuff, ourselves.  But thanks to the glorious free trade business, we are forced to import a tremendous number of things we should produce, ourselves.

Of course, the antivaccination gang wants us to have no modern medical systems to protect ourselves.  So they probably greet this news as happy stuff.  But then, the US public was happy to see our native auto industries die.  So I suppose it is popular to kill off all systems as well as all of us. A dark thought.  I often worry about this sort of thing.  In many online sites, I detect a strong hint of antisocial behavior.  That is, ‘Ditch this, let’s go somewhere better’ or ‘Those people are sheeple and we are smart,’ etc.

As all systems warp and change, we have to remember that it is increasingly hard to escape the systems.  And I am not talking about the legendary New World Order, either.  I am talking about how the entire planet will solve present problems via ethnic warfare.  A sad end to the revolutionary concept of a free state consisting of many different ethnic and religious groups.  This was something hatched in the American Revolution.

Back to the latest salvo in the germ versus humans war: the US must get a grip on deciding what things we need as a people and then strive to MAKE IT HERE AT HOME.  A simple thing, I imagine. I am glad that Sebelius at least mentioned this.  Now, Obama should ORDER this to happen.

H1N1 vaccine a tough sell to pregnant women —

On Thursday, a consortium of major medical groups, including the American Medical Assn., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, released a statement pleading with pregnant women to get both the H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines. .

But pregnant women have a well-established antipathy toward vaccinations, with only 15% getting the flu vaccine in any given year, compared with 30% of the general population, according to CDC reports. The current shortage of the H1N1 vaccine may further stymie efforts at widespread immunization. Moreover, pregnant women distrust medications in general — even though flu vaccines could prevent or mitigate infection should they be exposed.

The younger generation that is younger than my own generation is probably even more reckless than we were.  When we got our vaccinations and our penicillin pills, we thought we could party!  Well, this was a big, big mistake.  The latest generation that is now having children thinks that even vaccinations aren’t needed thanks to the rest of us getting lots of vaccinations.  So here we go: back to the past.  And the latest news out of Brooklyn is very nasty news.  That is, mumps are returning in triumph.

Of course, this is crazy.  Not that many people believe me. One mishap that is connected with vaccinations creates insanity in the antivaccination community. But many deaths, deformities and suffering is nothing to them.  Well, thanks to the hysteria about vaccinations, the old standby child killers and cripplers are returning. Thanks a lot, guys!  As more and more parents are spooked into not protecting their children, they are now endangering all children. We are rapidly losing ‘herd immunity’.

Mumps Outbreak Hits New York and New Jersey

Mumps outbreaks in New Jersey and the New York City borough of Brooklyn are related, health officials say. As of Thursday, there were 57 confirmed or probable cases in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn, the New York Daily News reported. Health officials said they were investigating the possibility of other cases. Most of those infected are between 10 and 15 years old.

The Daily News reported that the outbreaks were traced to a child who visited Britain and then attended a summer camp in upstate New York, where several of the other Brooklyn children were subsequently infected. Britain generally has more cases of the mumps because of lower levels of vaccination….

…Curiously, health officials in both states said that most of those sickened had been fully vaccinated against the disease. The vaccine, which nearly wiped out the mumps in the U.S., is supposed to protect against the illness 90 percent of the time.

The Hassidic Jews are like the Amish: they get to refuse vaccinations.  So they exist as a center for spreading communicable plagues and diseases to the rest of us.  No vaccination works 100% which is why we have to get as close to 100% coverage as possible.  To protect the 20% or so of children who don’t get the right levels of antibodies from the shots.  When large populations are allowed to not participate in vaccinations, they can send out diseased children to spread death and destruction and the unlucky ones are the targets of these opportunistic diseases.

Old-fashioned mumps make comeback in Borough Park; 57 confirmed cases

“We know that approximately one in every 20 people who are vaccinated may not develop antibodies,” said Dr. Jane Zucker, assistant commissioner of immunization. “If the vaccine was not effective we would have many, many more cases. ”

The infection caused by the mumps virus was a common scourge of childhood – and a leading cause of deafness – until vaccination largely ended it in the developed world. Typically, it causes a painful swelling of the salivary glands. In rarer cases, patients can be rendered deaf.

My husband is more than half deaf due to his mother getting an infectious disease in 1954.  Today, rubella is controlled by vaccinations…except in certain religious communities and people who send children to private schools or homeschool them.  Now we see the results of this.  Namely, hitherto, herd immunity protected these laggards.  Well, they returned the favor by respreading diseases we thought we got rid of.  The number of deaf children has been steadily dropping since the vaccinations were introduced over 50 years ago.  But thanks to Europeans who have let this whole thing collapse, we get a return to these unhappy previous conditions.

The good old days were characterized by a very high childhood death rate.  Whole families lost all of their children.  We are the offspring of the survivors of the many plagues that swept through humanity since the dawn of civilization and even before then.  I remember vividly how children of my own generation reacted to the creation of modern vaccinations and medicines: we became careless and even dirty.  That is, we decided we didn’t need to keep good morals or cleanliness.  Medicine protected us from everything.

Well, the abuse of antibacterial medicines is backfiring on us.  And the protection from vaccinations is being spurned due to fears of various bizarre stories and here is one of the stupidest hoaxes I have ever seen: the video of the woman who claims flu shots make her walk backwards or she can talk only when running.  This is beyond bizarre.  It is obviously another Balloon Boy hoax:

1 Flu Girl Hoax Claim Discourages Flu Shot: The Flu Girl Hoax Probably Isn’t a Hoax – Associated Content –

If you watch the “flu girl hoax” video you will see a beautiful woman struggle to walk forward. Oddly enough, Desiree can walk backwards and run forwards with no issue. Although the “flu girl hoax” video shows Desiree struggling to talk, she can talk just fine when she is running. .

Desiree Jennings was hospitalized twice for seizures. Doctors have now diagnosed her with Dystonia, a rare neurological disorder that causes uncontrollable muscle spasms. There is no known cure for this illness.

Flu Shot Victim Desiree Jennings – Dystonia Explained – AOL Video:  Basically, the doctor here is explaining that the ‘cure’ for this media maven is PSYCHOLOGICAL, not physical.  That is, with a little bit of therapeutic help, her syndrome will vanish.  On the other hand, now that she is turning herself into a media moment, she wants the spotlight a lot more than a fix.  After looking at her case, it strikes me that she didn’t go to a doctor like I did for her shots so we don’t know how or even IF anything was given to her.

What particularly annoys me is, the many deaths, hideous side effects, etc of diseases that have only one way of stopping, that is, via vaccinations, are IGNORED by the antivaccinationists.  While the flimsiest cases of any dim prospect of a possibility that a vaccination might have side effects gets these same people in a hot lather.

Hypochondria is quite common.  Another common thing are syndromes of all sorts.  Syndrome is a fancy way of saying, ‘symptoms of some sort’.  That is, several causes can create the same syndromes.  One of the hardest syndromes to examine happen to be deep psychological desires for an outcome.  That is, if one wishes to exercise some control over pain, one can walk on coals.  We saw a fad for this some time ago in Hollywood which happens to also be a hotbed for wild beliefs in body control techniques.

At the same time, this belief in body controls leads actors and such people to live very risky lives which is why they have such a high death rate from living very risky lives!  My husband, for example, was poisoned by chemicals at work.  He had real spasms.  They got worse if he was psychologically distressed.  These spasms didn’t allow him to run backwards. Far from it!  He could barely walk forwards for several years and was utterly unable to walk backwards.

At the hospitals where he was treated, not one victim of neurological damage could walk backwards, much less, run backwards.  They would fall down!  Running forwards while talking was nearly as impossible.  So why does this media-mad cheerleader thrive doing both but can’t walk?  It makes no neurological sense at all.  But it does remind me very strongly of some hypochondriac people I have known over the years.

I am guessing this lady has a very deep need to exercise so she had to justify being able to run while garnering media attention and the love of crazy movie stars.  And so she came up with this utterly unbelievable and bizarre set of symptoms that let her have her cake and eat it too.

Swine flu doctors ‘unnerved’ by patients’ decline – Telegraph

The number of people in intensive care with swine flu has reached its highest point yet, with 99 people currently in critical care beds out of a total of 506 in hospital. Sir Liam said intensive care specialists have told him privately that they are ‘unnerved by the severity off the illness and how quickly it can develop’. He said some patients are ‘getting into a life and death situation very early on’.

Yes, the H1N1 continues to ravage and kill and yes, it continues to hammer the younger generations and is nearly totally ignoring us oldsters.  So Obama’s warning isn’t hot air at all.  Ot anyone who fears the sort of thing happening that the cheerleader has should consider this: her most unusual disease (she is also an anorexic, by the way, before this ‘syndrome’) is such, you get a shot and you can run backwards!  An amazing feat and one that will entertain many millions of people who can’t do that very well, healthy!  Not to mention, run and yak at the same time.  I can’t do that.  I huff and puff.  WOW.

Call her a case of a true medical miracle.  Now, the Hollywood types who love magic have another thing besides lying about vaccinations.  That is, they have many miracle cures and here is one that made the news today due to a ditzy actress claiming this ‘cured’ her cancer (after traditional doctors cured it, of course):

Bioidentical Hormones, a True Prevention for Breast Cancer | Reuters

Some will be covered by Dr. Khalid Mahmud as the Special Guest; he will deliver the keynote ‘An Oncologist View of Hormones and Breast Cancer: How to Safely Treat Patients with Hormones’. . Event: Hormone Replacement Therapy Conference . When: 1:30 PM Saturday, October 24, 2009 . Where: Preventative & Regenerative Medicine Symposium, Holiday Inn on the Bay – San Diego, CA . Being informed on prevention is key to good health; unfortunately today, by some, prevention is being diluted into what it is not. A few years ago, the term ‘prevention’ was rarely part of the vocabulary in orthodox medicine; lately it is often perplexed and exchangeable with the likes of ‘avoid’, and used all too commonly with implications meant to blur. You can now find to avoid Breast Cancer with ‘Chemoprevention’, a good program, but an irony in expression that has no shame. . Prevention through Bioidentical Hormones is proving to be a giant among giants for reasons of common sense to women and men. Whether synthetic or not, Bioidentical Hormones have the definition of being the identical chemical structure to what the human body produces, it cannot be outdone by Para-identical counterparts that command patent pendings. . Dr. Mahmud who is quadruple certified in Oncology; Hematology; Internal Medicine and Anti-Aging Medicine, and former member of FDA panel on devices and radiological health, believes that by changing or altering certain natural substances ever so slightly, to then administer them as replacement for its natural counterpart has been leading to dangerous risks that assist in causing cancer for unsuspecting clients. This is backed up by studies pointed out in his book “Keeping aBreast” Ways to Prevent Breast Cancer.

This is a press release set out today.  Sounds like it was written by someone who has a shaky relationship with the English language.  This release also is pretty unscientific, too.  And makes ridiculous charges that are utterly false.  For example, ‘prevention was rarely part of the vocabulary in orthodox medicine’ is totally a lie.  First off, there is the issue of vaccinations!  This is the primary form of prevention possible. Not to mention, modern research in vitamins, how much sun we should soak up, hygiene, what we wear and so on.

Always suspicious of people making claims and then spouting obvious lies, I figured this fine doctor was not on the up and up so I looked up more information about him.

Steer Clear of “Bioidentical” Hormone Therapy

In January 2008, the FDA ordered seven compounding pharmacies listed to the right to stop making illegal claims about “bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT)” products. The companies were told that the FDA regards “bio-identical” as a marketing term that implies a benefit for which there is no medical or scientific basis [6]. Some were also making unsupportable claims that their drugs are better than FDA-approved menopausal hormone therapy drugs and can be used to prevent and treat serious diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, and various forms of cancer.

Some products contained estriol as well as progesterone and estrogen. No drug product containing estriol is FDA-approved, and its safety and effectiveness are unknown [7].

The bottom line for consumers is very simple: Steer clear of anyone who prescribes “bioidentical” hormones or recommends saliva testing as the basis for evaluating hormone status.

So this is yet another in a long, long line of goofy beliefs that pretend to be scientific by using magic words but is really a mess.  Of course, if one believes that all mainstream scientists are evil, then go ahead, fall for these pretenders!  I won’t stop anyone.  But it is a damn shame that fear of modern medicine has to endanger so many lives, lives of people who do take care of themselves but are being exposed to antivaccinationists running around, spreading germs.

Yet again you mistake anti-government attitudes or anti-nationalistic beliefs for anti-social behaviour.
“Now, Obama should ORDER this to happen.” He is a servant of the people, not a king, emperor, tyrant, dictator. That he is also beholden to big pharma and big insurance makes it highly doubtful that he will order anything beyond pizza. ( His daughters will NOT be getting the vaccine for some reason.)
According to your cited article on the mumps flareup, most of the afflicted children were indeed fully vaccinated against the mumps. Couldn’t be that vaccines are not a magic a set of bullets all the time. ( or maybe those kids received shoody imported vaccines instead of homebrew merkin top notch pharmaceuticals, like Bextra or Vioxx or Zyprexa or…. a long list of killer pharmaceuticals all approved by the FDA )

It is funny how when you find a doctor on the internets who agrees with your superstitions he is wonderful and truthful and honest and when others find contradictory doctors on the internet, those doctors are all frauds and poseurs and fakirs.
There have always been good reasons to be wary of snake oil salesmen. Whether they wear white lab coats and claim that anything that happens after a flu shot is a pre-existing condition not ever associated with the shot, or high heels and short skirts and give doctors whatever they need so the doctors will push Vioxx of Bextra or whatever is the flavour of the day in killer pharma. Today’s screed reminds me of Rush Limbaugh doing his mockery of Michael Fox a few months back.

Elaine.. for the love of all that is good, leave it alone. You clearly are not going to see any other side of this issue than the one which you have wholly invested your tunnel-vision psyche.

Any blind rat can see this is one item that is being hyped up by the same networks that have given us green shoots, terrorists in caves, and WMD’s .

Anyone trying to convince you of anything might as well ram their head into a brick wall.

You stay classy and keep those blinders on.

ELAINE: So, you think no children are dying from H1N1??? Or getting the mumps that can make them deaf? Wow. Look, if your ‘world view’ prevents you from seeing reality, this is a very bad, bad, bad thing. And yes, terrorists do live in caves. And move about into houses, etc. And they do exist. That is, we are at war with many Muslims and have to understand why. If, on the other hand, you think that everything is a conspiracy to fool you, I do hope you understand that the people peddling conspiracy stories are doing the exact same things and are not trustworthy, either.

So I am sorry you hate the news. But the news is news even if you live in a cave of the mind.

Desiree Jennings deserves the Nobel Health Prize for her timely “smart” vaccine offering to a confused American public.

Dr. Stephen Grill, Head Pimp at the Lizard Medical Center, deserves the Bio-Terrorism of the Century Award for his first (and last) TV video. After all, doctors who suggest a “psychological” cure for a debilitating and irreversible neurological disorder don’t grow on trees.

While Big Pharma gets blanket immunity for its vaccines, Desiree gets to live up Skunk Creek forever.

Desiree will make a terrific 2nd American Revolution cheerleader.

Damn you hang out with too many birthers and assorted “crazies.”

I’ve rarely encountered anyone denying the effectiveness of Vaccines. Isolated communites tend to be filled with paranoid anti-science types.

Most people i know aren’t getting the swine-flu vaccine because they don’t like getting “shot” and are skeptical of the virulance of the flu.

In Mexico the swine flu has become a butt of jokes. Most people there are convinced that it was a scare tactic of Calderon’s to distract from the economic difficulty hitting mexico.

Its been compared to the idiotic myth of the chupacabra. The swine flu has become heavily politicized in Mexico and has subsequently created heavy cynicism. Its not that the swine flu doesn’t exist or is not causing fatalities, the simple fact is that the fear of the “gripa porcina” is being manipulated by the gov’t for their own means.

A pretty popular cumbia has been extensively played since april 2009.

Its received extensive radio play in Mexico and most people agree that the swine flu has been exaggerated.

The overwhelming majority of patients experience mild symptoms. There are a few groups at greater risk for developing serious complications such as those with asthma, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, are pregnant, or have a weakened immune system. The flu doesn’t kill you, it weakens your imune system and subsequently allows a more opportunistic infection to wreck havoc and possibly lead to death.

Basically if you have any of the above conditions you are at an elevated risk to develop complications. So its not a bad idea to get a vaccination if you have asthma or some other serious condition that weakens your immune system.

This is not to say that people in Mexico are ignoring the seriousness that the swine flu poses to the country. The simple fact is that Mexico has more pressing economic, political, and social issues to deal with. Mexican are quite aware that they will have to “wait out” the “pandemic”.

Disease, hunger, violence and manipulation are things that a privileged majority can turn their backs to and ignore, while its the legacy of the majority.

Some people watch too much fox tv and subsequently start thinking that vaccines are a gov’t plot to sterilize, infect, kill, etc the “useless” eaters.

People that deny the effectiveness of vaccines and modern medicine are “village Idiots” and you should ignore them because your rants against them makes you seem a little on the neurotic side.

–“A Village Cannot Reorganize Village Life To Suit The Village Idiot”

ELAINE: Alas, it is no joke for the thousands of people who are now dead. It may amuse you and some others but not me. Also, people always tend to joke about danger when they feel helpless.

Sad acedote about evangalical christianity amongst minorities.

People that can no longer cope with poverty, loss of self/dignity, etc tend to implode and become “bible tumpers.” The whole opiate of the masses phenomenon comes into play.

This leads to the phenomenon of saying someone “had found Jesus” to let everyone know that you should avoid that person because they are mentally unstable.

For instance, i had a cousin that had low self-esteem (being poor does that to you) and decided to join the military to gain “leadership/pride.” To make a long story short he couldn’t deal with the Military indoctrination and ended up getting section’d 8.

He came one day and asked my brother if he wanted to go to wali-mart and my brother said why not he needed to restock on some ammo. He ended up “kidnapping” my brother and taking him to church-mind you this was on a wednesday 😦

as you can probably guess my brother quickly spread the word that my cousin had just “found jesus” and you needed to avoid his ass.

He became deeply disturbed and would carry a bible around with him everywhere and would go on long rants about the word of god being the only hope of salvation.

He would criticize everyone for any perceived moral sins and would yell at everyone that they were lusting for the Devil and his pleasures.

Most of us would just humor him and nod our heads in agreement becuase no one wants a psycho getting pissed at them.

Sad but he ended up hooking up with a 23 yr old girl with 5 kids.

He ended up getting in trouble for wearing his military uniform and came up with the brilliant idea to join the police force.

On the application where you are suppose to “confess” any crimes you commited, he admitted that he had molested the 5 kids.

He was baffled why he was being sentence to 15 yrs in prison. Him being a good christian and all.

Its strange but i do feel sorry for him. His family life was quite horrible with abandonment and incredibly amounts of physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. The decision to join the military was the trigger that destroyed him as a funtional human being.

  8. Duski

Keep up the good work Elaine.

    People, watch this video please:

Always remember that it might be *you* who is suffering from tunnel vision. Never fully buy anyones belief system (BS), not even your own.

I find it very funny when people blame others for already having decided on which side they are, then cherry-picking evidence, and finally blaming others for it.

Vaccination supporters NEVER claimed 100% protection. Instead, the claim was that when we get 100% coverage, the risk of those who did not get immunized to get that disease is lowered, since no one in the herd is spreading disease. And this has worked very well, no real breakouts for a very long time, only some single cases.

But now, when vaccination coverage gets lowered, disease outbreaks have been raising. Failing to see connection here needs tunnel vision if anything.

  9. Duski

My friend also gave me fun argument: If you get bitten by an animal which has rabies, will you get the vaccine for it that will save yyour life? Or do you think it is hoax?

  10. Greg

LOL you cite an article by Stephen Barrett, M.D. of all people to try and discredit bioidentical hormones….. That is so funny 🙂 .

    How embarrasing for you :p

anyone feel free to research this guy

In a Canadian lawsuit (see below) Barrett admitted to the following:

“The sole purpose of the activities of Barrett & Baratz are to discredit and cause damage and harm to health care practitioners, businesses that make alternative health therapies or products available, and advocates of non-allopathic therapies and health freedom.”

Stephen Barrett testifies for money. He claims he’s an “expert” in virtually everything. Those “expert witness” fees seem to be a significant part of Barrett’s existence.

You’ve been told before Elaine stick to your strong points, you only do yourself a disservice by trying to be an expert in areas that you obviously have no knowledge in, myself and thousands of other men have benefited by the use of bioidentical hormones and no pathetic dribble that you present as “medical” research will change that!!!!!

ELAINE: Greg, do note that the highlight I used mentions that the FDA has demanded that these alternative drug peddlers are wrong and should be avoided. You don’t notice that because you are intent on proving me wrong with no evidence.

Swine flu, is it Aporkalypse now or just hognarok?

Watching that “doctor” analyze the ex cheerleader from a distance was reminiscent of Senator Frist’s ( also a “doctor”) diagnosing of Terry Schiavo from a set of photographs. As I recall you were less than enthusiastic regarding Frist.

ELAINE: The doctor was being polite. He didn’t say that this female’s bizarre symptoms are impossible except if she decides in her brain to do these weird things. Believe me, running backwards is HARD TO DO but not for an anorexic who trains day and night and is big on exercise.

Couldn’t access the Jenning’s video in your first link , Elaine ( it’s been removed, at my end anyway). Scroll down on this link for those of you who want to see this vid :

As for the FOX interview with the good doctor: The doctor stressed twice that he had in fact NOT examined Desiree Jennings. After the second time he said this, all I heard was…… blah, blah, blah.

Nice subliminals in the backdrop of that FOX vid, though. You catch them Duski ? Or are you suffering from the tunnel vision you’re warning the rest of us about?

  14. Stuffed Poodles

“The H1N1 flu situation is a complete mess.”

You’re right about that. One giant propaganda and fear mess. You’re the minority who is buying into it too.

“Obama has just declared an emergency yet I can’t get the vaccination for my son!”

And have you asked yourself as to why this is a declared emergency? I bet not. Especially when, according to the CDC, swine flu infections have already peaked, and the pandemic is on its way out. Peak infection time was the middle of October, where one in five U.S. children experienced the flu, says the CDC. Out of nearly 14,000 suspected flu cases tested during the week ending on October 10, 2009, 99.6% of those were influenza A, and the vast majority of those were confirmed as H1N1 swine flu infections.

Even though the H1N1 pandemic appears to have peaked out, U.S. President Barack Obama has now declared a national emergency over swine flu infections. The reasoning behind such a declaration? According to the White House, it’s designed to “allow hospitals to better handle the surge in patients” by allowing them to bypass certain federal laws.

That’s the public explanation for this, but the real agenda behind this declaration may be far more sinister. Declaring a national emergency immediately gives federal authorities dangerous new powers that can now be enforced at gunpoint, including:

    • The power to force mandatory swine flu vaccinations on the entire population.

    • The power to arrest, quarantine or “involuntarily transport” anyone who refuses a swine flu vaccination.

    • The power to quarantine an entire city and halt all travel in or out of that city.

    • The power to enter any home or office without a search warrant and order the destruction of any belongings or structures deemed to be a threat to public health.

    • The effective nullification of the Bill of Rights. Your right to due process, to being safe from government search and seizure, and to remain silent to avoid self-incrimination are all null and void under a Presidential declaration of a national emergency.

None of this means that federal agents are going to march door to door arresting people at gunpoint if they refuse the vaccine, but they could if they wanted to. Your rights as an American are no longer recognized under this national emergency declaration.

And all that for 1,000 deaths when this strain has been reported to be milder than common flu! Also, have you thought about why they toss the number of 1,000 deaths around but never tell you how many have contracted swine flu and have recovered from it? Those numbers, I’ll tell you, are far, far greater than 1,000 deaths from swine flu. But they won’t share with you those numbers as it’s their agenda to instill fear in you. Apparently, it’s working. On YOU. The Pied Piper of Swine Flu Vaccine.

“This ticks me off no end but then, the US isn’t producing much of the vaccinations being used. These come from foreign nations, naturally.”

So you’re angry that you you can’t the vaccine but are aware that they are not made domestically. Think about that.

“Also, I talk about the amazing cheerleader who claims she is messed up by being vaccinated.”

Why don’t you talk about the 4 deaths in Sweden from the vaccine. I suppose that is merely a “claim” as well.

“Now she is so disabled, she can run backwards easily and can’t talk unless she is jogging. Great. I wish I could do both. I can’t. Maybe I need the shots so I can be like her.”

Nice try on that disinfo, Elaine. If you were reporting the whole story, which you rarely do on this subject, you would have told us that she can jog for a only a few seconds until her motor skills go completely haywire and she convulses. I think you need to research Dystonia a bit more.

NPR: “President Barack Obama has declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency. The White House on Saturday said Obama signed a proclamation that would allow medical officials to bypass certain federal requirements. Officials described the move as similar to a declaration ahead of a hurricane making landfall.”

    Jeezuz f’n key-ryst. Wake up!

    What emergency?

The declaration of this national emergency seems suspicious from the start. Where’s the emergency? The number of people killed by swine flu in the United States is far smaller than the number of people killed each year from seasonal flu, according to CDC statistics. People obviously aren’t dropping dead by the millions from H1N1 influenza. Most people are just getting mild flu symptoms and a few days later they’re fine.

    So where’s the emergency?

The only emergency I can see is the emergency fabricated by Big Pharma to sell more vaccines. By declaring a national emergency over the H1N1 pandemic, Obama is playing right into their hands.

I find the timing of all this curious. Two days ago, New York gave up on its efforts to require mandatory vaccinations of health care workers. This was designed to defuse a large number of planned protests from health freedom-conscious people who don’t want government-mandated chemicals pumped into their veins.

But you won’t ask the questions, Elaine. You’ll just, as a lemming would, walk to the edge and jump.

It is not clear if this declaration falls under the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601–1651). The act is not mentioned in media reports.

The National Emergencies Act was passed in 1976. It has been extended six times. In 2007, the declaration was strengthened with the issuance of National Security Presidential Directive 51 (NSPD-51) which gave the president the authority to do whatever he deems necessary in a vaguely defined “catastrophic emergency” including everything from canceling elections to suspending the Constitution.

NSPD-51 (National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive) is unconstitutional. It was created on May 4, 2007, as a “presidential directive” (bypassing Congress) and signed by George W. Bush. It claims the power to execute procedures for continuity of the federal government in the event of a “catastrophic emergency.” Such an emergency is construed as “any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions.”

In other words, it is a martial law directive. On May 10, 2007, The Washington Post characterized NSPD-51 is a “shadow government” directive

In 2005, a month after Hurricane Rita, a so-called bird flu “crisis” was hyped by the government and the corporate media. “I am concerned about avian flu. I’m concerned about what an avian flu outbreak could mean for the United States and the world… I have thought through the scenarios of what an avian flu outbreak could mean,” Bush declared at the time. “One option is the use of a military that’s able to plan and move. So that’s why I put it on the table. I think it’s an important debate for Congress to have” (emphasis added).

Bush’s directive, signed two years later, did not bother to involve Congress in the “debate.”

Obama’s declaration of a national emergency sets the stage for forced vaccination and internment of people who refuse to be vaccinated.

In January, the National Emergency Centers Establishment Act (HR 645) was introduced in Congress. It calls for the establishment of six national emergency centers in major regions in the US to be located on existing military installations to be used to quarantine people in the case of a public health emergency or forced vaccination program. HR 645 remains in committee.

The H1N1 “crisis” is a manufactured crisis. As noted earlier today, a CBS investigative report reveals that H1N1 flu cases are not as prevalent as we are told by the government, the CDC, WHO, and the corporate media. The so-called epidemic is bogus.

Millions of people are refusing to take the H1N1 vaccine. In the weeks ahead — if Obama’s emergency declaration falls under the above directives — we may witness a move toward martial law, forced vaccination, and internment of those who refuse

At best, Obama’s declaration is a flimsy attempt to scare people into taking the toxic soft kill vaccination. Let’s hope this is the case.

Elaine: “Now, the antivaccination community believes there is no such thing as an epidemic unless it is as totally destructive as say, the Black Death of 1348. This is a stupid level to have as a guideline. This is like saying, there is no war if it doesn’t kill many millions like WWI and WWII. Anything less than 25 million deaths is nothing to get upset about.”

What an asinine anology. But according to you, 1,000 deaths in the US is enough to warrant a declaration of a national emergency? No one wants or has stated that 25 million need to die, but we are quite leery of the media, Big Pharma and governments who are pushing an agenda (as you are) when this strain is milder than common flu and has killed far less than the 30,000 that common flu kills each year.

As for ‘mumps’. To begin with, mumps never went away. 57 cases of confirmed and probable cases since late August. Whop-dee-do. In Brooklyn. NOT all of NYC. As you can see, this didn’t happen yesterday! The victims of this outbreak range in age from one year to 42 years old.

Just as with swine flu, you refuse to look at the numbers and ask the tough questions. You go on about “banking gnomes”, but for some reason, this all escapes you.

S**t of get off the pot, Elaine.

  17. Stuffed Poodles

“ELAINE: H1N1 has peaked early but is NOT FALLING AT ALL. We don’t know when we are past the peak until we are past it.”

What part of this are you having trouble with?

….according to the CDC, swine flu infections have already peaked, and the pandemic is on its way out.

Also note that this past Friday as published by Reuters:

H1N1 matches seasonal flu peak months early: CDC

H1N1 swine flu has become widespread in 46 of the 50 U.S. states, a level comparable to the peak of ordinary flu seasons but far earlier and with more waves of infection expected, a top U.S. health official said on Friday.

“Forty-six states having widespread transmission is the peak of flu season. To be basically in the peak of flu season in October is extremely unusual,” said Dr Thomas Frieden, the director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Frieden said seasonal flu normally peaks sometime between late November and early March. And he noted that this virus was sickening young adults and children as opposed to seasonal flu, which usually hits people over 65 the hardest.

“We expect that influenza will occur in waves and we can’t predict how high, how far or how long the wave will go or when the next will come,” he told reporters in a telephone briefing”

    Read that last paragraph again!

Now read this, from the same article, carefully:

“Swine flu has killed more than 1,000 Americans and put more than 20,000 in the hospital in the United States since it emerged earlier this year, Frieden said.

But health officials are quick to note that the actual number of cases cannot be measured. “We have had up until now many millions of cases of pandemic influenza in the U.S. and the numbers continue to increase,” Frieden said.

So millions of cases and 20,000 hospitalized and ONLY a 1,000 deaths. Which means that of those millions of cases, 20,000 were severe enough to warrant hospitalization and where millions have recovered. But there’s a national emergency for 1,000 deaths. Point is, the number of people recovering is far greater than the death count andn not the opposite and does not merit this fear mongering and propaganda campaign.

Yet, Frieden’s number of ‘millions of cases’ is absurd and is a lie since the WHO has only 414,000 confirmed worldwide cases with 5,000 recorded deaths (1,000 of those in the US). Frieden is most likely speaking of ILI (influenza-like illness) which is normal for this time period until March.

According to the WHO, Oct. 17, 2009:

In general, influenza activity in the northern hemisphere is much the same as in the last week, though respiratory disease activity continues to spread and increase in intensity. In North America, the U.S.A. is still reporting nationwide rates of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) well above baseline rates with high rates of pandemic H1N1 2009 virus detections in clinical laboratory specimens (29% of all specimens tested are positive for influenza A and all of those subtyped are pandemic H1N1 2009 virus. Canada reports increases in ILI rates for the fourth straight week but the highest level of activity is in the western province of British Columbia. Mexico still reports active transmission in some areas of the country. Although influenza activity is low in most countries in Europe, in Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, and parts of the United Kingdom consultation ILI/ARI rates are above baseline levels. Similarly the number of influenza virus detections relatively high, which may indicate the early start of an influenza season. Rates of respiratory illness in Eastern Europe and Northern Asia are increasing but are not yet at levels normally seen in an influenza season (baseline levels are not defined in many countries of the area). Of note, the proportion of cases in Asia that are related to seasonal influenza A(H3N2) continue to decline globally as the proportion related to pandemic H1N1 2009 virus increases. Currently, only East Asia is reporting any significant numbers of influenza A(H3N2) isolates.

You just hate facts, don’t you, Elaine. I can see that. You keep bantering about this not-so-deadly flu becuase 1,000 people in the US died.

Next plane crash that kills more than one, I suggest you lobby both the FAA and the federal government to halt all air traffic for an infinite amount of time until air travel is effectively proven to be 100% safe.

How about car crashes and fatalities….? More than a 1,000 there.

I posted that a few days ago myself and supplied the link. Facts go awash with Elaine. She’d rather speculate that Desiree Jennings has anorexia and that 1,000 deaths merit a national emergency when heart disease is the number one killer of Americans.

You won’t see Obama signing anything closing down fast food and mandating exercise when heart disease kills over 725,000 people per year in the US.

Yet we’re supposed to bend over and shut down the country for a 1,000 swine flu deaths when the majority of those who (may) have contracted swine flu have fully recovered. And to note that once you have had it, your body forms a natural immunity to it. Just as you did when you got chicken pox or measles as a kid. So getting these barely tested and toxic injections is absurd.

H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine Insert Admits It Causes Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Vasculitis, Paralysis, Anaphylactic Shock And Death

The package insert for the Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine manufactured by Novartis has been leaked on the Internet. According to that package insert, the vaccine (based on an earlier vaccine product known as Fluvirin) is known to cause a whole host of very nasty side effects such as guillain-barre syndrome, vasculitis, anaphylactic shock and even death.

Of course anyone who has been studying vaccine side effects already knows that it causes all of these things, but the story here is that the insert for the swine flu vaccine itself is admitting all of these things. The insert says that it was updated during September 2009, so it reflects the very latest information.

You can read the package insert for this vaccine for yourself right here…..

Package Inserts for the nasal mist vaccine are fun too. The .pdf link, above, was for the shot. This comment is on the mist.

Hey, Elaine didn’t you advocate that children should get this damned stuff?

5.1 Risks in Children <24 Months of Age

Do not administer Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist to children <24 months of age. In clinical trials, an increased risk of wheezing post-vaccination was observed in FluMist recipients <24 months of age. An increase in hospitalizations was observed in children <24 months of age after vaccination with FluMist. [See Adverse Reactions (6.1).]

    Oh , lookie at 5.2!

    5.2 Asthma/Recurrent Wheezing

Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist should not be administered to any individuals with asthma or children < 5 years of age with recurrent wheezing because of the potential for increased risk of wheezing post vaccination unless the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk.
Do not administer Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist to individuals with severe asthma or active wheezing because these individuals have not been studied in clinical trials.

    5.3 is my favourite!

5.3 Guillain-Barré Syndrome (section 5.1 for the shot and reads similar)

If Guillain-Barré syndrome has occurred within 6 weeks of any prior influenza vaccination, the decision to give Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist should be based on careful consideration of the potential benefits and potential risks [see also Adverse Reactions (6.2)].

    5.7 is a beaut!

    5.7 Limitations of Vaccine Effectiveness

Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal may not protect all individuals receiving the vaccine.

I do believe that you pushed for pregnant women to get these shots as well.

According to the Package Insert for the mist….

    8.1 Pregnancy
    Pregnancy Category C
Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist. It is not known whether Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed.
The effect of FluMist on embryo-fetal and pre-weaning development was evaluated in a developmental toxicity study using pregnant rats receiving the frozen formulation. Groups of animals were administered FluMist either once (during the period of organogenesis on gestation day 6) or twice (prior to gestation and during the period of organogenesis on gestation day 6), 250 microliter/rat/occasion (approximately 110-140 human dose equivalents), by intranasal instillation. No adverse effects on pregnancy, parturition, lactation, embryo-fetal or pre-weaning development were observed. There were no FluMist related fetal malformations or other evidence of teratogenesis noted in this study.
    8.3 Nursing Mothers
It is not known whether Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist is excreted in human milk. Therefore, as some viruses are excreted in human milk and additionally, because of the possibility of shedding of vaccine virus and the close proximity of a nursing infant and mother, caution should be exercised if Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist is administered to nursing mothers.

    To clarify….

Anytime you see masses of goiyum lined up begging for something, you’d better not join them. They lined up for swine flu vaccine in 1976. More died from the vaccine than the swine flu. The goiyum lined up to get their internet stocks in 1999. They lined up to refi their houses and buy overpriced real estate in 2006. They lined up to sell their Gold this year with Gold under $1,000. Now they are lining up begging for swine flu vaccine. Trust me, both my kids are doctors in New York state. They fought tooth and nail to stop the mandatory vaccination for their fellow health-care workers. They know this swine flu is a MASSIVE FRAUD. Clueless goiy like Elaine deserve to get sick and die from believing their disastrous government and ruinous medical industrial complex. The cure is worse than the disease, just like their other brutal fraud money making scam called CANCER.

Elaine said to CK: “So, you think no children are dying from H1N1??? Or getting the mumps that can make them deaf? Wow. Look, if your ‘world view’ prevents you from seeing reality, this is a very bad, bad, bad thing.”

Look at who is talking? Ha! Where is your world view when poverty, disease and wars are killing millions of children each and every day?! Mostly at the hands of the US government. Your concern is selfishly contained to within the borders of the continental US where 86 children have died from swine flu and 57 cases of the mumps since late August have affected an age range from the ages of 1 to 42 years. Not just kids. No one has died or has been reported to have gone deaf from mumps. As though this matters compared to the larger numbers that I have already cited.

    “But the news is news….”

And should simply be accepted as such, I take it? It should never be questioned. it should never be scutinized. It’s motives examined. Just acceptance. No matter who owns those corporations that control the media.

@ Duski – I’ll take your vaccine challenge.

I don’t know if I fully qualify as one of your ‘ antivaxxers’ ? But if I was bitten by a rabid animal, I’d take the shots in a heartbeat….but only AFTER I was bitten.

In the case of rabies , the benefit/risk ratio would be in my favor. Certain death vs adverse reactions and/or chronic autoimmune diseases ? Let’s see….that one’s pretty much a no brainer.

As for preventative vaccines in general ? Count me out. Every year you can watch as Big Pharma becomes ever more integrally linked to Big Govt. And as the govts become more corrupt, where on Earth do you get the idea that pharma is somehow squeaky clean ? Or working in the interests of the people ?

I personally know a ton of people who won’t go near the regular flu shots again, not based on any kind of research on their behalf, but simply because these shots made them very sick. And I’m not talking days here, I mean months and even years in some cases. These people have weighed the benefits/risks for themselves and have decided – ” No more “.

The whole H1N1 scenario stinks to high heaven. And so does the vaccine.

Ask yourself : Where exactly is Big Pharma getting the viruses from that it uses in producing mockup vaccines ? Pandemic viruses that humans have NO immunity to ! One thing’s for certain- they didn’t obtain these viruses from humanity.

“ELAINE: Alas, it is no joke for the thousands of people who are now dead. It may amuse you and some others but not me. Also, people always tend to joke about danger when they feel helpless”

I don’t find people dying amusing, my point is that the swine flu has been hijacked and is being used to create hysteria.

The regular flu kills around 36,000 people a year and more than 200,000 people are hospitalized.

The swine flu has been relatively mild but has been striking predominantely the young. Its quite possible that it could mutate into a more virulant form but we have no control over that and as such creating hysteria is not going to do anyone any good.

In Mexico the swine flu is now viewed as a cynical attempt by the gov’t to manipulate the population into agreeing to a roll back of citizen rights. That is why so much satirical jokes and music is being produced. Do remember elaine that music has been historically used by the “powerless” to satire the cruelty and basic unfairness of life.

The swine flu will either remain a mild threat to the majority of the population or it could mutate into something more threatening. Pretending that everyone is going to die from it or that it is a highly virulant killer is dishonest and over zealous. The scientific consensus is that it remains a threat but it is not a global killer as of yet.

Certain people should take extra precaution and get the vaccination but pretendind that everyone is at risk from a global killer is moronic.

The spanish influenza had unique circumstances because of the first world war. Having so many men that were living in squalid conditions, received little more than basic nutrition, and the “stress” of battle gave the flu a perfect breeding grown to mutate into the killer that it became.

Its quite obvious that the swine flu has become something of a “sacred cow” to you. I’m expressing skepticism about the media hyping of the dangers of the swine flu as well as your one woman war against the “flu deniers”

This is clearly an issue that is quite emotional to you and i never meant to cause you any distress. I have not been lobbying against vaccinations or bludgeoning those who feel the need to get vaccinated. There is a shortage of the vaccination and there has to be some sort of rationing for the most at risk.

Its strange that so many medical professionals refuse to get vaccinated considering that they could be putting at risk exactly those people at greatest risk to develop complications (children, pregnant woman, etc).

The portion of the population that believes that vaccines are “dangerous” are a borderline cult. There are obvious risk to complications to getting vaccinated but they are rare and as such not worth getting paranoid about.

Most of the people i know are not going to get the vaccination because they don’t want to get a shot not because they are afraid that they may die from the vaccine.

The people that are afraid of vaccinations are the born again type and assorted health nuts.

You be amazed how many middle class americans think that we are koala bears and should eat a restricted diet of either carbs or uncooked veggies. we are generalist and as such if you want to be health you’ll eat a wide variety of foods and not just some advertised “super” food.

I don’t plan on getting the vaccination because it is too much trouble locating a clinic and then paying a billion dollars. I hate getting sick but its something that i can live with. Getting a flu shot would be cool if they invented a “pill” form instead of the conventional stab the crap out of my arm.

We all take risk and the swine flu does not scare me more than arizona drivers or any other every day risk.

I don’t believe in hocus pocus but i’m willing to give anyone that believes in the mystical/spiritual the benefit of the doubt.

A lot of things are possible but that doesn’t meant that is likely to be true. Its quite possible that a giant space penguin is going to beam down and say hello but i’m not going to put any money on it actually occuring.

I have been skeptical of a lot of my mothers “self cures” but i cannot deny that some of those remedies are effective; placebo effect or not.

I have read some of the comments here and have come to realize that elaine is quite right about some of the posters here being a little apeshit about vaccinations.

babies are smaller than adults and as such require special medicines. You cannot feed honey to a baby because of the risk of botulism (their stomach acid is not strong enough to kill any bacteria) but that doesn’t mean that Honey is a conspiracy to kill off the population.

ralph, i can’t believe that you think cancer is a conspiracy. while big pharma loves to create diseases that have no cures but instead have to be “managed” i find it incredible that you could dismiss cancer as a fraud.

stuffed poodle wtf do you actually think that vaccines are super dangerous? vaccines have real risk but it is easily outweighed by the benefits to vaccination.

This is NOT black & white issue. Big pharma all clean? Never. But this does not mean that most of vaccines are useless. Now we have more and more serious measles outbreaks which can and will severely disable children. Are you claiming that vaccine for that is bad too, since it does not guarantee immunity?

  36. Duski

Besides, if big pharma would want to just cheat people, they’d have no reason to make vaccines that cause any side effects at all (or just make some normal flu virus or something else with very little danger).

If governments would really want to kill people in large quantities, one of the first things they’d do is to stop all sorts of vaccinations.

There are more than a few people in this world who would not cavil at seeing the total population cut by 85% or so.
At 1 billion the world is comfortable, not to disparate, not to densely settled, and probably not too diverse. Resources would stretch much longer, peak oil would be put off centuries. Consider that most people on this earth produce less than enough to keep themselves alive, their “disappearance” would be a net positive to the remainder of the population.
Is the US govt in agreement with this conclusion? One can read the works of Dr Emmanuel ( Rahm’s brother ) and the works of the president’s current science advisor and one might be justified in coming to the conclusion that this government is not blind to mathematics.
The problem is that the Chinese government can do math also ( and better than most occidentals ). Europeans appear to have decided that any math that does not support pie in the sky is hate speech and shall not be calculated.

1600 people died immediately after vaccination. These people left the clinics by the backdoor. Most victims were elderly whites.

The vaccines produced NO antibodies. In other words, the vaccines were worthless.

Quality control of vaccines was impossible. Vaccine potency/batch might vary 100x.

Vaccines proved to be carcinogenic. Indeed, many doctors never encountered cancer fatalities except in vaccinated patients.

The flu shots you get today will be worth a lot less tomorrow.

I find it fascinating that one could claim to know the new world order, and never mention eugenics.

Ever wonder why some African nations have HIV rates of close to 40%? Are they just a hyper-sexual people? Or is it re-use of needles in the clinics? No, no. They are being injected with the shit.

Are UN workers bad? Are medical volunteers bad? No. They are compartmentalized. And Africa, has always been a private looting ground for the elite.

Vaccines are good. UNless they are being used to hurt instead of help people.

And yes, Elaine – they can be used for that purpose.

Our governBank has become completely untrustworthy and worse, they are murderers. 1,3000,000 dead Iraqis – mostly children and civilians.

And now many of their women are afraid to have children because of the phosphorous and depleted uranium rounds we dropped on them. Birth deformities are running rampant.

They lied about WMDs, they lied about 9/11, they lied about Afghanistan and they are dam sure lying about this pandemic.

One good thing is that even some of the sheeple are beginning to smell a skunk in the whitehouse.

That’s why Obama declared an emergency. The NWO bastards plan is going awry…they are becoming afraid as they know the masses are beginning to catch on.

The swine flu debacle will be Obama’s undoing.

You are correct…the NWO bastards brought us Agenda 21 and now they are bringing us this untested vaccination. This is going to back-fire big time.

Sorry – I don’t mean to escalate a pissing contest, but I had a MA state senator write me, stating that mine, and every other citizen in the commonwealth would have our constitutional rights suspended if the governor decided to declare a health emergency. This is beyond outrageous, it’s dangerous.

    From Mumps to the Economie.
Do you remember the tune in West Side story, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim where they sing “…I want to live in America … Everything’s free in America …”
    Cash for Appliances Rebate Program
    By Robert Longley
By the end of 2009, consumers nationwide will be able to take advantage of a federal “cash for appliances” program offering rebates on purchases of a wide array of home appliances certified as energy-efficient by the EPA’s Energy Star program.
Backed by an initial $300 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the state-run rebate program is intended to help make American homes more energy-efficient while further stimulating the economy.
“Appliances consume a huge amount of our electricity, so there’s enormous potential to both save energy and save families money every month,” said Department of Energy Secretary Steven Chu in a press release. “These rebates will help families make the transition to more efficient appliances, making purchases that will directly stimulate the economy and create jobs.”
States will Run the Rebate Program
Each state will administer its own cash for appliances program. The states will be free to select which residential Energy Star qualified appliances to include in their programs and the individual rebate amount offered for each appliance.
    What Can You Buy?
The Department of Energy (DOE) has recommended that the states focus their cash for appliances rebate efforts on heating and cooling equipment, appliances, and water heaters as these products offer the greatest energy savings potential. Energy Star qualified appliance categories eligible for rebates include: central air conditioners, heat pumps (air source and geothermal), boilers, furnaces (oil and gas), room air conditioners, clothes washers, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, and water heaters.
How Big Will the Rebates Be?
While the states will be free to set actual rebate amounts based on their share of the $300 million, the Department of Energy expects the rebates to range from $50 to $200 per appliance. But wait, there’s more. Any rebates offered by state and local utility districts for purchases of energy-efficient appliances will be added to the federal cash for appliances rebate.
    How do You Qualify?
All consumers will need to do to get the rebate is simply buy any qualifying Energy Star appliance. Unlike the “cash for clunkers” fuel-efficient vehicle rebate program, you don’t even need an old trade-in appliance. In addition, consumers will not be required to haul their bulky old appliances to the dealer in exchange for a new one.
    When Does it Start?
The states will have until October 15, 2009 to submit their applications for funding and plans for recycling old appliances to the Department of Energy (DOE). The DOE plans to have distributed funding to the states by November 30. As a result, the cash for appliances rebates could be available in stores just in time for Christmas shopping.

The New World Order agenda states quite clearly a desired world population of 1 billion people, of whom 500 million will be Chinese. Americans, Canadians, and Europeans head the expendables list. Africans will be given modern weapons, the better to reduce the indigenous population. Chosen People will run the show.

This scenario dictates a WWIII to the death between NATO nations and Russia/OPEC, leaving the Lizards and Chinese to pick up the pieces.

Meanwhile, the World Order parasites will continue to suck and sicken us for the final event.

Rocky’s “Big Blue” IBM computer has the future New World Order all mapped out. The IBM software offers some interesting insights, for instance, the consent coefficient:

“Consent Coefficients – numerical feedback indicating victory status. Psychological basis: When the government is able to collect tax and seize private property without just compensation, it is an indication that the public is ripe for surrender and is consenting to enslavement and legal encroachment. A good and easily quantified indicator of harvest time is the number of public citizens who pay income tax despite an obvious lack of reciprocal or honest service from the government.”

Rocky Lizard is betting he’ll harvest us before we harvest them with a 2nd American Revolution.

Not sure how some of the poster can be so convinced about various conspiracy without a shred of proof.

first we had someone deny that cancer exist or that it is a conspiracy. Then someone blames the aids pandemic in africa on vaccination instead of the social chaos caused by economic plundering by african and western elite. The we had the lizard people wanting to kill us.

Damn, i find it difficult to believe that so many people can convince themselves of the “truth” of their “pet” beliefs.

PLovering – thanks for the great stuff on the end game choreography.

The eugenics thing is dam crazy, real and coming our way. I’m very suspicious of the origins of H1N1 and think it is likely a test or a set-up for depopulation. Maybe a lab leak or intentional release.

As far as China, I think they are on a collision course with the U.S. – NATO client states, owned and operated by the international banking cartel. Natural resource and financial competition, especially in Eurasia, could get ugly.

Your explanation of the “Consent Coefficients” was really interesting:

“Consent Coefficients – numerical feedback indicating victory status. Psychological basis: When the government is able to collect tax and seize private property without just compensation, it is an indication that the public is ripe for surrender and is consenting to enslavement and legal encroachment.

Sure makes sense to me. I remember that while we were preparing to attack Iraq, I kept thinking if WMDs aren’t found, that Bush would be impeached in a huge national outrage. After all, war crimes were committed as the result of whitehouse deceit.

Then after the 9/11 cover-up (commission), I thought people would be outraged and demand a full investigation and criminal arrests. Surely, treason and terrorism would on a grand scale would bring the villagers out with torches and pitchforks.

It is one emergency after the other, and in each case, our freedoms and bank accounts are rolled back.

“Drones will make the cost of war very low.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely as they say.”

You are confusing the cost of occupation with the cost of war. Rather than strong, drones are making U.S. into hated and marginally effectual occupiers, but weak when it comes to war: Very easy for a real adversary to bring down satellite communications between the video game jocks and the drones. Booster rocket loaded with ball bearings. . . Meanwhile our mortar, artillery and armor units are rotting in MP duties.

What’s worse is all the real time tracking systems being developed for occupation duty. Great for de-confliction of blue on blue during current police action. But catastrophic for war. Granted the ground guys will likely not be given the full picture. But give an enemy spy access to a traitorous, gold-hungry technical sergeant in the right squadron, and the enemy with precision munitions will have all the locations and thus the war. . .

The U. S. corporations selling this crap to the current occupation oriented military need to assess whether they are creating an epic Trojan horse. If they care. General Dynamics?

Then again, what am I thinking? There is no better way to destroy a military than to send it to Afghanistan.

At this point, our only saving grace is that U.S. ground commanders are historically notorious for not following their own doctrinal publications, and thus many might disconnect the antennas from that technological death sentence in the event of a real war. That is, if they have the time. . . Disconnect and displace.

How could it get any worse?

Dan Tarullo Gets New Talking Points
On Wednesday, Dan Tarullo, a governor of the Federal Reserve and distinguished law school professor, dismissed breaking up big banks as “more a provocative idea than a proposal” and instead put almost all his eggs in the “creation by Congress of a special resolution procedure for systemically important financial firms”. He stressed: “We are hopeful that Congress will, in its legislative response to the crisis, include a resolution mechanism and an extension of regulation to all systemically important financial institutions” (full speech).
you cant regulate the pay becuase thats government intervention and a slippery slope…. BUT congress should create a legislative mechanism to stop perverse conflicts of interest ‘like getting contract insurance for stupid people’ which would require a mountain of law and regulatory waste…. instead of making 2b2f seperated by risk/insured boundaries to protect taxpayers from the glaring fact…. this talent will buy just about anything even if it cant pay if it helps grease the wheels of trickle down economics
we could forgoe whole bodies of government by just telling the banks they are 2 big…. or create a cottage industry of enshrining 2b2f with taxpayer dollars…. what will congress choose???

I guess the actual inventors of VACCINES actually have a conscience in some circumstances. Spin this one…

Dr. Diane Harper, lead researcher in the development of two human papilloma virus vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, said the controversial drugs will do little to reduce cervical cancer rates and, even though they’re being recommended for girls as young as nine, there have been no efficacy trials in children under the age of 15.
Dr. Harper, director of the Gynecologic Cancer Prevention Research Group at the University of Missouri, made these remarks during an address at the 4th International Public Conference on Vaccination which took place in Reston, Virginia on Oct. 2-4. Although her talk was intended to promote the vaccine, participants said they came away convinced the vaccine should not be received.

“I came away from the talk with the perception that the risk of adverse side effects is so much greater than the risk of cervical cancer, I couldn’t help but question why we need the vaccine at all,” said Joan Robinson, Assistant Editor at the Population Research Institute.

Dr. Harper began her remarks by explaining that 70 percent of all HPV infections resolve themselves without treatment within a year. Within two years, the number climbs to 90 percent. Of the remaining 10 percent of HPV infections, only half will develop into cervical cancer, which leaves little need for the vaccine.
She went on to surprise the audience by stating that the incidence of cervical cancer in the U.S. is already so low that “even if we get the vaccine and continue PAP screening, we will not lower the rate of cervical cancer in the US.”

There will be no decrease in cervical cancer until at least 70 percent of the population is vaccinated, and even then, the decrease will be minimal.

Apparently, conventional treatment and preventative measures are already cutting the cervical cancer rate by four percent a year. At this rate, in 60 years, there will be a 91.4 percent decline just with current treatment. Even if 70 percent of women get the shot and required boosters over the same time period, which is highly unlikely, Harper says Gardasil still could not claim to do as much as traditional care is already doing.

Dr. Harper, who also serves as a consultant to the World Health Organization, further undercut the case for mass vaccination by saying that “four out of five women with cervical cancer are in developing countries.”

Ms. Robinson said she could not help but wonder, “If this is the case, then why vaccinate at all? But from the murmurs of the doctors in the audience, it was apparent that the same thought was occurring to them.”

However, at this point, Dr. Harper dropped an even bigger bombshell on the audience when she announced that, “There have been no efficacy trials in girls under 15 years.”

Merck, the manufacturer of Gardasil, studied only a small group of girls under 16 who had been vaccinated, but did not follow them long enough to conclude sufficient presence of effective HPV antibodies.

This is not the first time Dr. Harper revealed the fact that Merck never tested Gardasil for safety in young girls. During a 2007 interview with KPC, she said giving the vaccine to girls as young as 11 years-old “is a great big public health experiment.”
At the time, which was at the height of Merck’s controversial drive to have the vaccine mandated in schools, Dr. Harper remained steadfastly opposed to the idea and said she had been trying for months to convince major television and print media about her concerns, “but no one will print it.”

“It is silly to mandate vaccination of 11 to 12 year old girls,” she said at the time. “There also is not enough evidence gathered on side effects to know that safety is not an issue.”

When asked why she was speaking out, she said: “I want to be able to sleep with myself when I go to bed at night.”

Since the drug’s introduction in 2006, the public has been learning many of these facts the hard way. To date, 15,037 girls have officially reported adverse side effects from Gardasil to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). These adverse reactions include Guilliane Barre, lupus, seizures, paralysis, blood clots, brain inflammation and many others. The CDC acknowledges that there have been 44 reported deaths.

Dr. Harper also participated in the research on Glaxo-Smith-Kline’s version of the drug, Cervarix, currently in use in the UK but not yet approved here. Since the government began administering the vaccine to school-aged girls last year, more than 2,000 patients reported some kind of adverse reaction including nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, convulsions, seizures and hyperventilation. Several reported multiple reactions, with 4,602 suspected side-effects recorded in total. The most tragic case involved a 14 year-old girl who dropped dead in the corridor of her school an hour after receiving the vaccination.

The outspoken researcher also weighed in last month on a report published in the Journal of the American Medical Association that raised questions about the safety of the vaccine, saying bluntly: “The rate of serious adverse events is greater than the incidence rate of cervical cancer.”

Ms. Robinson said she respects Dr. Harper’s candor. “I think she’s a scientist, a researcher, and she’s genuine enough a scientist to be open about the risks. I respect that in her.”

However, she failed to make the case for Gardasil. “For me, it was hard to resist the conclusion that Gardasil does almost nothing for the health of American women.”

ROFLMAO, that is officially the most obtuse quote i have ever read.

Not sure what you are trying to say. You should stick to the english language because that is an example of horribly mangled spanish.

“Entre el dicho al hecho, hay mucho trecho”

-this strongly brings to mind the proverb “Del Dicho Al Hecho Hay Mucho Trecho” which means “Easier said than done.” The literal meaning is “Between “said” and “done” there’s a large space”

“Estos cabrones no fotan nada, ni pinche, ni cortan”

    – This is nothing but nonsense. I have no idea what “fotan” could mean. No one uses “ni pinche” because pinche is roughly equivalent to damn/fuckers (i.e its a pejorative/adjective). “ni cortan” they don’t cut?
I get a meaning something like “esos pinche cabrones something something” -those fucking bastards…

That last portion “Mandan todos a la mierda pero a sus hijos, si que no!”

@domingo: your Spanish is Mexican, yes? Mine is a mix of old and modern Castellano (Madrid), with some Catalan thrown in. And I varied the pinche to bring out the Latin American meaning, the correct quote is “ni pinchan, ni cortan”, tener poco valimiento o influjo en un asunto. Yes, the dicho al hecho is a proverb but I was thinking in English thus the mistake. Actually, the most correct Spanish is Colombian if I am not mistaken, it is more correct than the Castellano que hablan en Espana hoy dia, coming from the old Castillian.

  63. Stuffed Poodles

    @ domingo, who said:

“stuffed poodle wtf do you actually think that vaccines are super dangerous? vaccines have real risk but it is easily outweighed by the benefits to vaccination.

There is nothing wrong with skepticism but ignoring medical knowledge is crazy”

You’re obviously missing the bigger picture, amigo.

My protest is about the vaccines, yes. But my protest represents the smaller concern to the overall and larger problem dealing with this over-hyped and propaganda-ridden fear campaign to scare the masses into accepting that they should roll up their sleeves and sacrifice their health to line the pockets of Big Pharma, it’s shareholders, it’s lobbyists, and the policticos they pay off, to push a largely untested vaccine that was rushed to market inside of 2 months.

It’s great to read that millions are rejecting this vaccine, all over the world.

You want to know how corrupt this whole nonsense is? Just like the financial fiasco currently embracing us….follow the money.

And, Domingo, there are NO benefits to this vaccine which have only risks. Vaccines have always been, as you put it, “super dangerous”. Never mind that they can cause neurological disorders, sterilization or birth defects. You apparently haven’t informed yourself as to their contents (thermisol, mercury, adjuvants, etc.), but are comfortable with the fact that they do harm, but as long it benefits the majority, then it’s all good. Which is very weird and twisted logic. Mr. Spock’s logic, which you’ve adopted, does not, and should not, apply here (‘needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few’).

There is nothing about “medical knowledge” in any of this. It’s about profits, money, power and control. Plain and simple. Now there is a nonsensical national emergency based on a 1,000 deaths from swine flu signed by the Nobel Peace Prize recipient who is also a war mongerer who continues wars. Insanity.

I am of a VERY scientific mind, and stating so, I disseminate and analyze the information set before me.

I have been watching this from the outset back in late March and I was skeptical of it then since there is no way for human/pig/bird strains to have come together – naturally, and I’m more skeptical now. It is also not possible to jump species as the media is reporting as of late (human to turkey or human to pig) or as they reported then that it jumped from pig to human.

Next you’ll tell me that the Obama health care plan is sound and sane when the bill for it was written BY the insurance (and drug) companies who want bigger fines if you don’t buy their insurance, should the health care bill pass. But it will cost taxpayers $1 trillion over 10 years anyway. So either way, the bastards are getting your money. And as of Oct. 18, 2009, it was reported that a Small Group Now Leads Closed Negotiations on Health-Care Bill

    But I digress….

You, like Elaine, are comfortable in dismissing the facts. Your eyes are wide shut. Read the product inserts that I have posted links to in a previous comment, above.

Everything is hidden out in the open. You just have to look past the window dressing. You can accept that “they’ll” look after you. It’ll lead to your demise even sooner. Wake up from your slumber. It may help you to prevent more war, more fear driven propaganda campaigns and in a short period of time, we’ll see the final demise of the US and it’s dollar. Most likely by mid to late 2011. But not before hyperinflation sets in from the Fed monetizing the humungous US debt that will continue to rise. Oh, and interest rates will rise in the time between now and then as well, as the government continues to grow in size.

    You’ll see.

There is a sham going on and you have got to see it otherwise you are but a pawn in their sick game.

    Red flags…..

First Daughters Not Vaccinated Against H1N1 (Oct. 8, 2009)

President Obama’s school age daughters have not been vaccinated against the H1N1 flu virus. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says the vaccine is not available to them based on their risk.
    (the girls or the vaccine?)

The Centers for Disease Control recommend that children ages 6 months through 18 years of age receive a vaccination against the H1N1 flu virus. At this time only children with chronic medical conditions are receiving the vaccination because their immune system is not strong enough to fight off the strain. The CDC also says a regular seasonal flu shot does not protect against the virus.

Americans are still debating whether to roll up their sleeves for a swine flu shot, but companies have already figured it out: vaccines are good for business.

(ABC News) Drug companies have sold $1.5 billion worth of swine flu shots, in addition to the $1 billion for seasonal flu they booked earlier this year. These inoculations are part of a much wider and rapidly growing $20 billion global vaccine market.

“The vaccine market is booming,” says Bruce Carlson, spokesperson at market research firm Kalorama, which publishes an annual survey of the vaccine industry. “It’s an enormous growth area for pharmaceuticals at a time when other areas are not doing so well,” he says, noting that the pipeline for more traditional blockbuster drugs such as Lipitor and Nexium has thinned.

As always with pandemic flus, taxpayers are footing the $1.5 billion check for the 250 million swine flu vaccines that the government has ordered so far and will be distributing free to doctors, pharmacies and schools. In addition, Congress has set aside more than $10 billion this year to research flu viruses, monitor H1N1’s progress and educate the public about prevention.

Drugmakers pocket most of the revenues from flu sales, with Sanofi-Pasteur, Glaxo Smith Kline and Novartis cornering most of the market.

Obama declares swine flu a national emergency (Oct. 25, 2009)

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency, giving his health chief the power to let hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and protect noninfected patients.

The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government’s initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October.

Health authorities say more than 1,000 people in the United States, including almost 100 children, have died from the strain of flu known as H1N1, and 46 states have widespread flu activity. So far only 11 million doses have gone out to health departments, doctor’s offices and other providers, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials.

Administration officials said the declaration was a pre-emptive move designed to make decisions easier when they need to be made. Officials said the move was not in response to any single development.

(“Not in response to any single development”? Then why do it at all?! This is what people ignore and will not ask. All they see is ‘1,000 deaths’, ‘swine flu’ and ‘national emergency’. WAKE UP! This is a “A pre-emptive move designed to make decisions easier when they need to be made”? WTF does that mean? Martial law? Why do I smell a real or false flag terror attack next year?)

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius now has authority to bypass federal rules when opening alternative care sites, such as offsite hospital centers at schools or community centers if hospitals seek permission.

Some hospitals have opened drive-thrus and drive-up tent clinics to screen and treat swine flu patients. The idea is to keep infectious people out of regular emergency rooms and away from other sick patients.

Hospitals could modify patient rules — for example, requiring them to give less information during a hectic time — to quicken access to treatment, with government approval, under the declaration.

It also addresses a financial question for hospitals — reimbursement for treating people at sites not typically approved. For instance, federal rules do not allow hospitals to put up treatment tents more than 250 yards away from the doors; if the tents are 300 yards or more away, typically federal dollars won’t go to pay for treatment.

Administration officials said those rules might not make sense while fighting the swine flu, especially if the best piece of pavement is in the middle of a parking lot and some medical centers already are putting in place parts of their emergency plans.

“I think the term emergency declaration sounds more dramatic than it really is,” said Dr. Peter Hotez, a research professor and chairman of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Tropical Medicine at George Washington University. “It’s largely an administrative move that’s more preemptive …” He said such a step would give emergency rooms and hospitals the flexibility they need.

The national emergency declaration was the second of two steps needed to give Sebelius extraordinary powers during a crisis.

On April 26, the administration declared swine flu a public health emergency, allowing the shipment of roughly 12 million doses of flu-fighting medications from a federal stockpile to states in case they eventually needed them. At the time, there were 20 confirmed cases in the U.S. of people recovering easily. There was no vaccine against swine flu, but the CDC had taken the initial step necessary for producing one.

“As a nation, we have prepared at all levels of government, and as individuals and communities, taking unprecedented steps to counter the emerging pandemic,” Obama wrote in Saturday’s declaration.

He said the pandemic keeps evolving, the rates of illness are rising rapidly in many areas and there’s a potential “to overburden health care resources.”

The government now hopes to have about 50 million doses of swine flu vaccine out by mid-November and 150 million in December. The flu virus has to be grown in chicken eggs, and the yield hasn’t been as high as was initially hoped, officials have said.

“Many millions” of Americans have had swine flu so far, according to an estimate that CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden gave Friday. (BEST PART?) The government doesn’t test everyone to confirm swine flu so it doesn’t have an exact count (HA! HA!). He also said there have been more than 20,000 hospitalizations.

Vaccine Resistance Movement Launches Preemptive Strike to Inform Canada’s Most Vulnerable About Vaccine Dangers (Oct. 26, 2009)

As the Vaccine “Roll Out” begins in Canada, will the Vaxers receive a warm welcome and a rolled up sleeve, or be met with the “cold shoulder treatment”?

    By Wayne Prante

Late last week, a Globe and Mail article let it slip that Coastal Health would be opening H1N1 vaccination clinics on Vancouver’s Downtown East-Side (aka Skid Row) and that roving teams of nurses would be taking to the streets with backpacks full of syringes to mass vaccinate unsuspecting street people against the alleged “pandemic” H1N1 flu virus.

Upon hearing of these plans, members of the Vaccine Resistance Movement (which held public demonstrations in Vancouver in August and September) sprang into action again on Sunday, launching a full out “preemptive strike of info bombs”.

We have no vaccinations for anyone here in the Albany, NY area still.

I am anxiously awaiting the H1N1 vaccination for my children.

And, by the way, note how the antivaccinationist hysterics don’t talk about the resurgence of mumps. Which is a dangerous disease. Oh, I’m sorry, some of the kooks who hate vaccinations minimize the dangers….AS USUAL. You guys have no idea how horrible this mental process looks to outsiders. You think you are intelligent but instead, it is all about denial.

  71. emsnews

This is why all of the antivaccinationists have to minimize the impact of the swine flu. In the warped world of the deniers, there is no swine flu. It is no danger (please ignore all the dead children!) so why do anything?

    This is madness, of course.

  72. JSmith

“…my protest represents the smaller concern to the overall and larger problem dealing with this over-hyped and propaganda-ridden fear campaign to scare the masses into accepting that they should roll up their sleeves and sacrifice their health to line the pockets of Big Pharma…”

They’re trying to sap and impurify all of your precious bodily fluids!

“I am anxiously awaiting the H1N1 vaccination for my children”

good luck with that, over here in arizona my neighbors is getting hysterical because all of the local clinic/hospitals have run out or they still haven’t received a batch.

The poor lady has two kids with asthma and they are chronically sick so she always tries to get them vaccinated against the flu.

I wasn’t aware that you had to deal with so many “vaccines are dangerous’ types. Not sure why people are so terrified of vaccinations its not like you have to get vaccinated for every disease out there. The swine flu i’m willing to risk but the mump no fkn way.

btw, the MMR vaccine protects against the measles, mumps and rubella, so its quite likely that those parents are risking their child contracting all three diseases.

Elaine you should have made the male poster here aware that Mumps can sometimes (rarely)cause the testicles of boys or men to swell, which can make them unable to have children. shots suck but having swelled testicles and becoming impotent is way too much of a risk for my taste. thankfully this is a childhood vaccination and my mom had me vaccinated for everything that was offered.

I’m of the impression that the swine flu is being hyped to distract americans from the economic plundering of our nation. I like to make it clear that i don’t find it stupid or crazy to feel a need to get vaccinated against the swine flu or any other disease out there. I’m just skeptical that i’m going to die from the swine flu if i don’t get a shot.

Yes my spanish language skills are “Mexican” and as such is the most dominate form of spanish that the average american will encounter.

you should invest in a good spanish/english dictionary and you should not be afraid of using “Babel Fish.” Babel fish can come up with some hilarious translation but it would be a huge improvement in your mangling of the spanish language

Pinche means servant/waiter and in Mexico it is used as an insult but in spain it is rarely used. Pinche is overwhelmingly a “Mexican” phenomenon and “Ni Pinchan” is nothing but gibberish. Stop digging, it just makes you look silly; as they say “En boca cerrada no entra mosca.”

“tener poco valimiento o influjo en un asunto” -I can’t help but laugh at this epic fail.

fyi, colombian spanish is one of the easier accents to understand because they pronounce every noun, vowel, and syllable; it is the closes version of spanish to Mexico’s and as such is super-easy to understand.. spains “spanish” is way too nasal and is difficult to understand if they are poorly educated, while in south america argentines/chileans use vosotros and don’t always pronounce every syllable or vowel. The difficulty in understanding a different variant of spanish is mostly due to slang and is a non-issue when they are educated. Poverty leads to “bumpkin” spanish and its difficult to understand if you are not from that specific region and a moderate level of education easily solves that problem.

  74. @elaine: “This is why all of the antivaccinationists have to minimize the impact of the swine flu.”

True. But we should not overestimate its impact either, as the CDC has done. And to refuse releasing any information or hard data, either. Hats off to criticalcontrarian and the mainstreammedia piece he posted. And if the .gov pisses off the MSM enough, they’ll turn on it! Remember when people from Fox News were trapped in New Orleans thanks to the LIHOP attitude of the Shrub Administration???

  75. CK

“You guys have no idea how horrible this mental process looks to outsiders.” And exactly how is this relevant to anything to do with the science in question? The scientific method always looks horrid to “blind faithers.”

  76. This debate is symtomatic of the madhouse the US has become. The disease is ignorance.
I heard a microbiologist from Calgary this morning. He said the conspirists claims were based on old studies that had the wrong tools and turned out to be unreproducable. Benefits still outweigh the risks. Period.

  77. Jim Dandy

there is nothing macho avout taking the shot. if people don’t take it, it is not to save a few dollars or to avoid a shot. it’s becaues they are waking up.

people that think vaccines will “protect” them are delusional. Anyone who understand viral mutation understands the viruses mutate CONSTANTLY. By the time a vaccine makes it throught the system, the virus has mutated hundreds of times.

the whole vaccine thing is a FRAUD.

ELAINE: This is why you get new flu shots every year. Sheesh.

On the other hand, the majority of vaccinations are for diseases that don’t mutate much at all. This is why enforcing vaccinations eliminated small pox.

  78. criticalcontrarian

Loosely translated, we are not interested in your opinion, or I am not making sense. These are acceptable expressions in Spain, not understandable in the Mexican usage, it works both ways amigo.

My Spanish definitely needs practice, a few weeks in Spain and it will come back. Agreed on the Argentine & Chilean ascento, I would hang out with with both when I studied in Spain many moons ago.

  79. JSmith

    “My Spanish definitely needs practice…”

    See see, Senior.

  80. Katya

While I think some you anti-vax folks are living in cloud cuckoo land part of me hopes that you are correct in your assessment of the swine flu threat since flu vaccine of any kind is practically unavailable to me. I visited my GP’s offfice – multiple doctors, hospital affiliation, and a big city – and there are signs on the door stating that they have no vaccine available – not the original seasonal flu vaccine, nor the H1N1 vaccine.

The government is going to force us all to have vaccines…but you can’t get any vaccine even if you want to. Um, yeah, right guys.

  81. Angela

    Please, please read:
There’s a distinction between adjuvanted and unadjuvanted vaccines (USA), the pharma companies are trying to push these novel adjuvants like squalene through without adequate data on kids and young adults because theres a bunch more vaccines coming along in the pipeline. This woman is not a conspiracy theorist, she’s a retired pediatrician and unpaid. USA has unadjuvanted vaccine which at this point I think should be taken- the virus has been floating around “in the wild” and known for a long time, not bioengineered and the threat to young people from this years flu is much higher than in a long time. But Canada, Europe and the USA if they open the gate to squalene- a BIG NO. Here’s the science – it’s a long read, but good…

Elite guy 1: We need to distract the public folks, economy is really going down
Elite guy 2: Get MJ, he will have to rape another kid and put him on trial
    Elite guy 3: He died
Elite guy 1: A new terrorist attack perhaps?
Elite guy 2: Snipers shooting up random people?
Elite guy 3: Poison in mail?
Elite guy 1: That’s all been done before
Elite guy 3: Agreed, let’s try some disease
Elite guy 1: Good thinking, we need a disease
Elite guy 2: Also, let us sell vaccins to make some extra money, it will also spread confusion in the conspiracy world
Elite guy 1: Yep, think about all the time they will waste on this hoax forgetting about all the stuff that really matters
Elite guy 1,2,3: Mwuahhah EVIL LAUGH Muhahah

ELAINE: Yes, this is exactly how the Viral Empire discusses us humans. The #1 killer of humans before vaccinations wasn’t war nor terrorism. It was diseases. And the most common victims were not the elderly (few humans became ‘elderly’) but CHILDREN.

Okay people, enjoy watching this slew of “conspiracy theorists” beating the H1N1 Swine Flu dead:

  87. justiceatsqualor

    @Stuffed Poodles

    “false flag flu”

Your quote encapsulates so many wrongs:

    1) Flu Vaccine is bad for you. The only real conspiracy is all the conspiracy theories. In other words all the NWO attempts to conceal itself in a haystack of intellectually revolting conspiracy theories.

    2) Using the term “false flag” as much as possible to similarly remove its relevance from web searches and the consciousness of the masses. Why? Because Israel is paranoid that the U.S. populace might demand strategic retaliation if they figure out Mossad complicity and direction in 9/11. A true false flag operation with U.S. administration complicity. You can only hang a domestic traitor once. Nuking a nation that executed a false flag attack lasts forever. The NWO has placed Israel and AIPAC into a deadlock with American leadership where there is no alternative to releasing control. They have to ride this out to ultimate success or failure. Success equals continued control. Failure equals Israel doubling its population through immigration to fight the Palestinian birth rate. Not a bad deal for the NWO or Israel, either way.

Could it be that I am the only one who remembers The Great 1976 Swine Flu?
    Flew? Nope, it crashed.

  89. PLovering

@IndianaJohn “Could it be that I am the only one who remembers The Great 1976 Swine Flu?”

How many remember the 1993 flu catastrophe?

That was the first year Medicare paid for flu shots in nursing homes.

Yep, our senior citizens were dropping like flies. Thousands died prematurely.

Any y’all with a friend or loved one in a nursing home better wake up … Lizards never sleep.

  90. emsnews

Plovering, your faith is stupid solutions never flags while your fears about vaccinations look increasingly crazy.

Yes, people are being scared into not getting shots. This pleases the Viral Empire very much and the Empress of all Germs thanks you for your hard work, Plovering. I bet you will get a medal of honor for it.

  91. PLovering

@Elaine, “Yes, people are being scared into not getting shots … I bet you will get a medal of honor for it”

    I educate, not scare people.

The Lizard, Warlords, and Cannibals in charge of our growing economic disaster scare the people.

WTF the swine flu shot on offer at your local Hebwarcan Center has yet to be tested.

You may cherish your GWS medal.

I will wear my Stiff All Vaccines (SAV) medal with equal pride.
