Global Warming/Cooling Debate Heats Up As Weather Shifts Due To Sun

Screen shot 2014-07-01 at 7.28.13 AM More on the Sun | Climate Skeptic Fundamental misunderstanding of how climate works has driven many ‘scientists’ mad because Mother Nature refuses adamantly to copy computer predictions and does Her own thing instead.  Due to the natural lag in sun/earth climate interactions, a childish view of the weather has arisen in the last three decades that misunderstands how things heat up after sun activity falls to lower levels due to the planet absorbing and using previous heat from the sun.

Just as warming up is slower than the sun heating up the frozen planet every time an Ice Age suddenly ends.  There is a decade delay in effects obvious to the eye on the ground.  Once climatologists collectively decided that CO2 and not the sun determined how hot or cold it is, we have gone off the rails when it comes to predicting the future.   The news from Europe is most interesting since they didn’t have the nasty cold winter we had in the North American continent.  Now, it is Europe’s turn to have unusually cold weather:  Nature hurtling ‘helter-skelter’ through seasons with signs of autumn on show – Telegraph

After an early spring and summer, autumn, which normally arrives in late September, is already making itself known in the hedgerow and woods, according to Matthew Oates, a National Trust naturalist.

Mr Oates said: “Looking at this year, where does it want to be? It raged its way through winter, then we went into an incredibly early spring, and then it rushed helter-skelter through spring without stopping for breath.”

He said: “There are really strong signs of autumn already here, like the beech nuts, it’s an amazing beech mast year and the nuts are incredibly well developed.   “We’re ahead still, remarkably ahead, birds have largely stopped singing, a lot of butterflies are very early and are still coming out early,” he said, pointing to early arrivals of high summer butterflies including chalk hill blues and purple emperors.

So, we are in a Holy Grail season!  Simple.  Since climatologists seem bent on ignoring the weather, we have to cope as best we can with this mixing of seasons.   Right now, it is very cold in Europe:  Autumn temperatures across most of Spain – In June

June 28, 2014 by Enrique Perez de Eulate: “Sunday will wake early on autumn day with temperatures around 12/14 degrees and a north wind that will be felt, so it will give the impression of being confused the date on the calendar. (..) In the Pyrenees will snow around 2000/2200 meters, this hint of cold weather we have for the dates we are.”

In England, the Met Office has an unbesmiched record for calling the weather wrong so here they go again:  Weather latest: Britain set for scorching heatwave as El Nino phenonmenon takes effect | UK | News | Daily Express

Sunshine and blue skies, which will signal the start of a heatwave across the country, possibly from Thursday, could last through until at least the middle of July, forecasters said yesterday.   The predictions come as the Met Office’s Dan Williams revealed the El Nino phenomenon, which occurs when temperatures rise in the Pacific Ocean, is likely to trigger “major climatic impacts” across the globe.

This could bring a greater risk of typhoons in the tropical north-west Pacific, including China and south-east Asia, and drought in western parts of the United States.   The last El Nino in 2009/2010 resulted in an exceptionally cold winter across northern Europe, including Britain, which was crippled by snow.

Its effect this time could see 2014 or 2015 turning out to be the hottest year on record – with temperatures from the first half of the year in Britain having already been warmer than average. Met Office spokeswoman Nicky Maxey said: “We are looking at some fairly dry, fine weather for everybody.

Note the ‘fairly dry, FINE weather’ as the office of hysterics admit warm is better than cold!  Here is the el Nino data that this time around, barely limps along, for several weeks, the el nino weakened nearly into neutral again: Screen shot 2014-07-01 at 7.21.27 AM This is, so far, a very feeble el Nino.  It might grow greater, the sun did, after all, increase sun spot activity a bit in recent months giving a double peak to this cycle which isn’t very strong.  And the peak in el Nino was 5 years ago while la Nina has increasingly dominated.   Global Warming Continues To Hit Australia Hard as Heavy Snow Brings July Joy in Australia because it is colder, not warmer than usual.   More proof: New record Southern Hemisphere sea-ice extent

Sea ice coverage around Antarctica – which has actually been increasing since 1979 – marked a record high over the weekend, says journalist Howard Ambler on his blog, Talking About the Weather.

Screen shot 2014-07-01 at 7.11.51 AM Naturally, since this is real news, the warmist hysterics had to release this news to the press:  Melting Antarctic ice could spell doom for the emperor penguin –

But by 2100, all 45 known emperor penguin colonies of Antarctica will be on the decline because of loss of sea ice. Those located on the coasts of the eastern Weddell Sea and the western Indian Ocean will show the sharpest drops. Nine colonies are projected to be “quasi-extinct”, the researchers said.

“Given this new research, and what we already know about global temperatures warming and the changing climate, one of the things we should do immediately is put a marine reserve in place so we can make sure that we are not fishing in areas where the penguins need to forage for food,” commented Andrea Kavanagh, director of global penguin conservation for the Pew Charitable Trusts. “It is one way of eliminating one more threat to the penguins.”

Penguins and polar bears are actually doing quite well right now.  It amazes me that the Pew Charitable Trust which was originally set up to save widows and orphans is now used to pay climate alarmists to issue false forecasts about weather conditions in the Antarctic.

Vegetarianism Cuts Your Dietary Carbon Footprint A Ridiculous Amount, Study Finds as the Huffington Post wishes to kill all cattle because they fart.  Honest.  Overlooking how cows are all over India and fart there despite all the vegetarians.   And on the criminal front:  NOAA Reinstates July 1936 As Hottest Month On Record | The Daily Caller

“Two years ago during the scorching summer of 2012, July 1936 lost its place on the leaderboard and July 2012 became the hottest month on record in the United States,” Watts wrote. “Now, as if by magic, and according to NOAA’s own data, July 1936 is now the hottest month on record again. The past, present, and future all seems to be ‘adjustable’ in NOAA’s world.”

NOAA has been nearly rendered useless by climate hysterics.  The gulf between the predictions made there and reality has been as wide and deep as the Grand Canyon.  And now, caught red handed in altering weather data to make it look warmer when it is actually beginning to cool, they quietly restore a tiny bit of the weather records they tampered with but no comment on why they did this or justification for doing all of this tampering.

It seem to me that you will always be trapped in an endless leftist/rightist, liberal/conservative, capitalist/socialist linguistic trap of your own making.

These words no longer have any meaning in the English language.

If you say so…do you listen to NPR and if so, what do you learn from NPR?

We watched this interesting film recently on Netflix. It gave us a new way of looking at philanthropic organizations. We used to think of them as “nice people”, but it was eye opening to see the story of Pew and Annenberg and the others squabbling over this $30 billion art collection.

And I listen to NPR. And many many other things.

Apparently luc really thinks Fox News is “fair and balanced”, haha.

luc really thinks Fox News is “fair and balanced”,…that is a logical fallacy.
