African Travelers Are Now Coming To US With Ebola: No Quarantine Of Infected Countries

Quarantine and Isolation | Quarantine | CDC: doesn’t really exist.  I nearly died of the Hong Kong flu many years ago when people were allowed to fly in from there with no hesitation.  We now know that there is a major, gigantic ebola outbreak in central Africa and there is no restrictions on travel to or from and sick doctors are hauled out in isolation units and brought here and now anyone with the disease can come here, unimpeded.  This is insane!

When Homeland Security asked for better control over travel so that epidemics can be restricted, proposed rule changes in 2009:  USA rejects new quarantine regulations – FluTrackers.  This was first proposed in the Bush administration and then dropped after right wingers complained so Obama decided to try it again:

The Obama administration is quietly dusting off an effort to impose new federal quarantine regulations, which were vigorously resisted by civil liberties organizations and the airline industry when the rules were first proposed by the Bush administration nearly four years ago.

White House officials aren’t saying what their rules might ultimately require. But the previous administration proposed giving the federal government the authority to order a “provisional quarantine” of three business days — or up to six calendar days — for those suspected of having swine flu or other illnesses listed in a presidential executive order.

The Bush-era proposal would also have required airlines and cruise lines to store more information about domestic and international passengers, such as e-mail addresses, traveling companions and return flight information. The information would be subject to review by federal officials in a health emergency, though it would be voluntary for passengers to provide the data.

Opponents of the Bush administration’s efforts to enforce the new guidelines insist that they still are a mistake. “It’s not really going to help,” said Wendy Mariner, a professor of law and public health at Boston University. “The proposals to limit liberty represent a dangerous precedent to constitutional theory, particularly when there’s almost no evidence it will matter. … It wouldn’t surprise me if they try to sneak this past in August, when people are away.”

The following year in 2010:  New federal quarantine regulations scrapped.  So there is nothing, now.  In the past, people were tested for say, tuberculosis when traveling.  When I was in Europe in the 1960’s, I was tested for this before crossing from Germany to say, England.  Now, we have open borders and free trade so stuff flies madcap around the planet.

Ebola is in America: Dallas man is diagnosed with disease AFTER return from Africa in first case found on U.S. soil. Now in isolation but he MAY have infected others | Daily Mail Online

People boarding planes in the outbreak zone are checked for fever, but that does not guarantee that an infected person won’t get through.

The comments in Texan news media sites are full of fury and rage yet Texas was one place that did NOT want these regulations back when even Bush proposed these, much less the ‘hated’ Obama Democrats.  Now, too late, they want these regulations.  Here is WebMD’s assurances:  Ebola Virus: Symptoms, Treatment, and Prevention:

Could There Be an Outbreak in the U.S.?
Although movies and books describe major outbreaks of Ebola-like disease in the U.S., they’re just fiction. So far serious Ebola cases have only shown up in Central and West Africa.

The CDC says there’s no significant risk of Ebola in the United States. It has strong safety measures in place for people who have Ebola and are brought to the U.S. for treatment.

Ebola can spread from country to country when people travel. So it is possible for it to reach the U.S. if an infected person travels here. But there are ways to prevent people from coming to U.S. airports with the disease.

Then there is this statement that is totally insane:  First Ebola case in U.S. confirmed: Here’s why there’s (probably) no reason to panic – Salon.com

Dr. Amesh Adalja, a biosecurity specialist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center told The Hill. “Ebola outbreaks are stopped in their tracks when basic public health measures are in place … and the United States would not be a hospitable environment for something that spreads exclusively through blood and body fluids.”

Who is this idiot, anyway?  AIDS!  Guess how that spread!  Duh! This is exactly what is wrong today.  People who, if they think for one minute, can realize some idea is stupid.  Salon is a stupid SF rag but SF happens to be one of the early AIDS hot spots so someone in that paper should have looked at this and gone on the attack, obviously this ‘expert’ is a fool or terminally stupid or most likely, a liar.  I bet Adalja comes from this part of Africa from looking at the name.

Obviously the ways of preventing people from coming here sick is…nothing.  Many of the doctors who bravely went to Africa to fight this terrible plague have either died or had to be flown out, sick.

From 27 of July last summer:  Fort Worth doctor with Ebola known for ‘compassionate heart’ | Dallas Morning News.  He had been in Africa for only about a month before falling ill.

Now we are sending troops over there and History is crystal clear in this matter: troops bring home plagues every time.  This is the worst thing we can do, send in troops.

I’ve come to the conclusion that they want a plague. They want the total lockdown on society it will cause.

Plus the Elites are totally convinced that they will not contract this plague.

Masque of the Red Death time…everyone.

  2. e sutton

From the Elites’ perspective, it’s a neato way to cull the population of useless eaters. Locking us down and terrorizing us are what they do for sport. Ebola means business. Hope everyone’s Obamacare accounts are paid up.

On an alternate media, a french military physician said that a cure for Ebola has been known for 40 years. When he was in Africa 40 years ago, there was an Ebola crisis and one of the researchers caught it; French and Belgian researchers found a serum that saved his life.

I would not be surprised that the Bilderbergers sociopaths want a plague; they have wanted to cut human population on the planet by 95%. Maybe they will “discover” a cure after a lot of people have died.

In the main newspaper of Liberia on the front page, a medical researcher accused the USA army to have caused this plague in their lab in Sierra Leone where they were doing research on Ebola, trying to weaponize it. There have been riots in this city of Sierra Leone and thay had to close this hospital; many Africans are convinced that the Westerners are responsible. This Ebola strain seems different than all others. In all previous outbreaks, the plague would die out after having killed a few hundred people because it could only be transmitted by contact with body fluids. This one seems to be much more contagious, perhaps transmitted airborne.

This plague is caused by the animal/human contacts in the jungles. This happens a lot.

All the conspiracy stories are mainly total bunk. Like with the weather: humans do NOT have total control of things or cause everything. Nature and evolution are extremely powerful forces.

Diseases evolve rapidly in dirty places with lots of human/animal intersections and lack of sanitation.

Civil liberties organizations are right wing?

    ΩΩΩ

ELAINE: There are both right and left wing ‘civil liberties’ organizations. They absolutely HATE each other! Amazing, isn’t it?

Amesh Adalja. Names sounds Indian [arent all american MDs Indian?].
He is indian. via google images.

Elaine, in El Segundo California there is a ‘doctor testing center’ [ecfmg inc]
I know 2 who worked there. Oddly they are unrelated. ECFMG has these phoney tests for Mds [all indians, smelly and fresh offa the plane I am told].
Zillions of indian MDs are invading this country.

Thanks for looking this up, Luke. Much appreciated.

Would starting a petition be effective to demand quarantine of all travelers who have been to Africa?
It is ridiculous that travelling to Africa is not being stopped, and even more ridiculous that people coming in to the U.S. from Africa are not quarantined. What is more disturbing is that people are going to Africa knowing there is a risk of contracting Ebola, and these people are not getting checked for the virus when they get to the U.S. and ill people are not telling health care workers the ill person was in Africa. Unbelievable that that sick man did not tell the doctors he was in Africa. What is wrong with people.

  9. latensee

The man did tell the triage nurse that he had arrived here from Liberia. The hospital totally dropped the ball in sending him home with antibiotics the first time he showed up there. Texas Presbyterian is not a charity hospital, by the way.

Also car-loving Americans should be aware that West Africa is a huge, I mean HUGE, area for oil extraction and exploration. There will be no flights curtailed from that region, especially flights to and from Texas, where the travel back and forth to various countries in West Africa (by people of all races, by the way) is crucial to the oil business.

Quarantine of travel from this region would hurt big business here in the States, and that’s why it isn’t happening and won’t happen.

ELAINE: There are both right and left wing ‘civil liberties’ organizations. They absolutely HATE each other! Amazing, isn’t it?

Truly. But I suspect it was the left wing ones that “vigorously resisted” the new “Bush” regulations the first time around

    I’m sure you would agree.

Two in Dallas are infected with Ebola.

Dallas, home now to two official ebola cases (and God knows how many unofficial ones). Who knows, perhaps our very own magic Haitian-born mayor will bring some of his countrymen to ensure it spreads up here.

Did you know that the Director or the Dallas Health Department is a negro?

check out ebola headline at CNN. No comments allowed. That’s because the gov’t told CNN to say “it is OK” and “you cannot catch ebola” over and over.
If there was a comments section it would mess with my brainwashing; people would say practical things like:

Stop All flights from the infected zone.

Exactly which right wingers are you speaking of? Kind of a ambiguous term you used there, considering there are so many different definitions of what is Right and what is Left. You must know who they are…I find it peculiar how you used the ambiguous term. Can you clarify the ambiguity, please?

  13. emsnews

There is this political spectrum from far right to far left. The two extremes are nearly the same in key ways but are unaware of this.

I am a middle of the road person in many ways, for example, I am against funny money debt and for a sane currency that is limited (a traditional conservative position) whereas I am 100% for women’s rights, gay rights, etc. Which is very liberal.
