It is very quiet on my little old mountain. For the first time in over a month it is above freezing and all the tons and tons of snow has suddenly melted and the rivers are overflowing and we will have more rain tonight. So Santa will be very soggy. The new year is around the corner and Congress will be quite different than last year’s Congress and I don’t think our nation is prepared for this changeover as for now. One thing is certain: it is 50º F outside! Whoopee! Not much fun in the mud, though. I hope everyone has a happy holiday, mud or no mud. ‘Atmospheric Rivers’ to Soak California as Climate Warms is the latest looney headline from the global warmists. HAHAHA. California was supposed to dry out, not get soaking wet!

Now on to the other locale for warring against the law: Was St Louis cop AMBUSHED? Lawyer for officer who shot dead 18-year-old suggests he was lured to gas station near Michael Brown scene… as video shows him running as teen pulls gun. I found the entire ‘Hands up! Don’t shoot’ garbage to be…garbage. These people try their hardest to fight the cops and evade arrest. It isn’t a polite, easy thing arresting anyone! I have arrested people in the past and trust me, it was never cute, pleasant or easy. It was often rather violent.

And then there is this charming last minute shopping news aside from the rioters in Missouri doing last minute looting: Teenager shot dead by a shopper after he tried to steal his limited edition Nike Air Jordans that had just sold out in store. The kid, like so many black youth today, had an illegal handgun and decided to use it to go shopping only he was shopping at a ‘store’ run by a fellow thug who had the same tastes and then got a taste of some lead.
The most stupid signs I have seen in the anti-cop demonstrations is, ‘Black lives matter’. This is an outright lie. Blacks don’t think their lives matter at all. This is painfully obvious, statistically and physically and is dire at this point and should be addressed by our President once he finishes another golf round.
About him: what a jerk. He tells us we have to suffer very high energy bills to save the planet from warm weather like the kind he enjoys in Hawaii…and then he and his army of servants and friends fly off to Hawaii to goof off in the warm sun!!! To hell with him.

It rained like hell. Flooding in our rivers and streams. If the temperatures were just a couple degrees colder, we would have had nearly 3 feet of snow. I am so happy it finally got to be above freezing since we have been buried in snow for a month now.

ELAINE: I changed positions swiftly in just one day when I read my father’s censored paper, ‘The Sun Is A Variable Star’ where he discussed how astronomers know that the energy rising to the surface of the sun is going into ‘sleep mode’ and the sun will do another Maunder Minimum.
See? Incoming information changes beliefs! The problem with the global warmists is, they tried first to censor this information which is why Scientific American and Nature who published my dad in the past, censored his new study.
And they decided via emails which were leaked in England, to LIE ABOUT INFORMATION and to destroy past temperature records and fiddle with present records.

Religious people never think they are doing anything wrong no matter what the transgression.
My examples are not mere historical relics, they are quite relevant to current events.
Here is an example from the 21st century:
A county in the former Confederacy was casually teaching Bible studies in public school. When a few citizens informed the county that this was illegal and asked them to stop, they were told to STFU.
When the citizens filed suit they were called “terrorists” by the local authorities. The plaintiffs were allowed to proceed anonymously because of death threats. I guess they don’t teach the admonishments about being humble and repentant and to “love thine enemies” in their Bible classes. Anyway, the county decided to fight the lawsuit tooth and nail even though it was really, really obvious that they were going to lose and be required to pay the plaintiffs’ attorney fees under 42 U.S.C. § 1988. Not too bright, that.
Well, I submit it is pretty clear who the real terrorists are here.
And the wars launched after 9/11, that are destroying the U.S., are very much religious wars, publicly supported by the same mentality that wrought the Crusades and Native American genocide: worship of the arch-demon: Christ Jesus.
Our Founding Fathers warned each other about religious wars. My family came here due to religious wars way back in the 1600’s.
The only thing uglier is tribal warfare, ethnic cleansing. Aka, Naziism. Or Zionism. Or any other creation of ‘gods love my tribe’ sort of business.

OK at some point Western Civilization somehow moved ahead faster in science and technology (Occam’s Razor may have been a factor) and that helped liberals to rein in religious insanity, a bit.
Granted, belief in religious fairy tales probably serves some evolutionary purpose. It likely persists for a reason. On the other hand, how many species have gone extinct because they failed to adapt? Something like 99.9% maybe?
