This is huge news in England. No news in the US. Americans are usually kept in near total darkness when it comes to these sort of crimes by our ‘allies’. A childish story of good and evil is painted for US citizens because our rulers need to hide the truth from us. I have known for many years, exactly how bad the Saudi Royals can be. Once, one of them actually lived with us in Arizona, long ago when I was a teenager. Lets get this clear, it is the 21st Century, and the barbaric medieval despot regime in Saudi Arabia plan to behead and crucify 2 teenage boys for simply protesting against their disgusting despotic regime.
How Cameron and Obama have the bare-faced effrontery to condemn the actions of any country, if they do not openly condemn this barbarity in the strongest possible terms. Currently Obama and Cameron only condemn the behaviour of despotic regimes in an opportunistic manner. In other words, they only condemn regimes they do not support and who are their enemies. These mealy-mouthed hypocrites do not condemn the barbaric actions of countries they have dealings with.
It is an abomination that Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and yet he grovels to and supports the Saudi regime, which barbarically executes people in the most disgusting medieval way, for things that are not even crimes in civilized countries. There is strong reason to believe that surreptitiously the Saudis support ISIS. Why do we pander to the disgusting corrupt medieval barbaric regime in Saudi Arabia.

I tried in vain to find some US media reporting this. On Wednesday, the United Nations called for the Saudi Arabian government to stop the execution of Mr al-Nimr, who was a high school student when he was arrested for reportedly participating in the ‘Arab Spring’ protests in Eastern Province.
In May, the Specialised Criminal Court sentenced him to death for joining a criminal group and attacking police officers, but he was reportedly tortured and forced into confessing the charges against him.
An appeal was held in secret and “the proceedings fell short of international standards”, says the UN.
In a statement released by the UN, human rights experts urged: “Mr al-Nimr did not receive a fair trial and his lawyer was not allowed to properly assist him and was prevented from accessing the case file.”
“International law, accepted as binding by Saudi Arabia, provides that capital punishment may only be imposed following trials that comply with the most stringent requirements of fair trial and due process, or could otherwise be considered an arbitrary execution,” they added.
“We urge the Saudi authorities to establish a moratorium on the use of the death penalty, halt executions of persons convicted who were children at the time of the offence, and ensure a prompt and impartial investigation into all alleged acts of torture.”
All this had zero effect. There is nearly no pressure on Obama or anyone in the State Department to stop these Saudi crimes of oppression. Our government loves to yap about how evil the Iranians are or anyone resisting the US empire…all total evil and our buddies are the ‘good guys’. I beg to differ.
This degrades our nation, big time. Our rulers are all hypocrites and our media hides important news from us in order to create false images, false beliefs. We are constantly bombarded with ‘moral stories’ designed to encourage us to do something violent against some group that is acting with greater humanity than our Saudi allies! This is impossible to hide from, yes, the US public can be deluded and eat lies like dirt served on a platter but the rest of the world knows the truth here: the people who attacked us on 9/11 were nearly all Saudis. And the Saudis produce terrorists nonstop and inflict them on neighboring countries due to ideological differences. They are relentless and very destructive and the misdirection of US anger over 9/11 was aimed exactly at people who had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 while our ‘allies’ were the producers of the real terrorists.
Which led to a major US war crime: the invasion and destruction of Iraq. No one has been hauled into the Hague to answer the judges. There are no judges and this makes all history a joke. Why did we have trials after WWII when it is OK for the Saudis to imitate the Nazis? Insane and disgusting.

I suspect that peoples view of Saudis executing their own (even if they are kids or women) is seen much like drug dealers shooting each other. No one cares how they get their oil or drugs so long as they get them. And since they conveniently avoid the moral untidyness its “their problem”. MSM avoids it because nobody cares, not because of a conspiracy. Well the extent of the conspiracy is a herd of liberals with cotton batten in their ears and verbal diarrhea.
I would think that a public viewing of US ally Saudi barbarity would undermine all the standard US propaganda ie we are the beacon of freedom in the world, US wars are always just wars etc.
At least in the eyes of the world.

I’m positive Zbig and the other Zionist, American and Saudi lunatics are spitting their dummy out now that Russia is in the open militarily and involved in bombing ISIS. The crazies will not be able to help themselves. They will upgrade ISIS so they can start to hurt the Russians militarily.
I’m also positive the Russians have made it extremely clear to the Saudis (a major funnel of arms to ISIS) that they will not tolerate any funny business this time around. If I was the Russians I would make it clear to Saudi Arabia that if Saudi Arabia indirectly attacks Russia Saudi Arabia itself will be a legitimate target. I’m pretty sure that is what was going on at the recent meeting between the Saudis and Russia. The Russian cruise missiles launched from the Caspian Sea was a very, very clear message to a lot of enemies in the area.
The problem for Saudi Arabia is that they are on the ropes. With an economy about 98% of which is oil based and peak oil about to hit (or is peaking now), with a demographic explosion ticking away, with a stagnating economy already drained by desperate wars, with an unemployment of around 30% for youths etc. Saudi Arabia is desperately trashing about to find a way out of inexorable problems that will put an abrupt end to the oil party within the next two or three decades.
We are not bowing to the Saudis. They are our paid and protected puppets who keep the oil flowing and the petrodollar arrangements in force(not any more tho). We offer to protect the fat Saudi rulers from foreign or domestic attack and in return they make sure the US keeps control of the oil and helps keep US boots on the ground in the strategic Persian Gulf area.
The Al Saud family also run one of the most egregious police states in the world. And it is a oppressive force that operates under primitive religious superstitions from the 8th Century. And they are chair of the UN Human Rights convention?

Deliberately desecrating and making a useless mockery of the liberal world order is one of the hall marks of the insane US elites and Zionists. The UN (in theory) stands for international law and order. The US and Israel can’t piss enough on the UN.
