Recessions don’t just bob out of nowhere. They are manufactured by our rulers. Greedy bastards all, they hoard wealth for themselves and their cronies who we call ‘politicians’ who pretend to work for the ‘voters’ but really work for the very rich who pay for the election costs and also pay for any rewards the politicians wish. Look at the Clinton family, collecting many, many millions of dollars for some of the most boring ‘speeches’ on earth. These parasites pay for all this by reducing wages via bringing in cheap foreign or even illegal alien labor and taking over any remaining unions so they work for the owners, not the staff. This process has made the very rich very, very rich and wages stagnate or fall and thus, economic systems falter and collapse which irritates the rich who hate this but hate sharing the wealth so this charade runs on and on and on via debts which mount higher and higher/
Japan is the shining example of this stupidity and it is very, very stupid, learning absolutely nothing after over 20 years of depression inside Japan while the rich make fortunes exporting the goods that Japanese labor creates so cheaply while the workers slowly die of and can’t afford even one child now much less, two or three. Living in pathetic near-collapse tiny hovels in the three big cities while the countryside either ages to death or is entirely wiped out by natural and human disasters, this country is literally both dying off and going insane.
Japan’s working wages goes from $8000 to $13,000 a year, for example. Germany, in contrast, is $23,000 a year. The UK is $21,000 and in imitation of Japan, the US is a miserly $15,000. And Congress continues debating whether to raise the minimum wage and like Japan’s rulers, can’t really get around doing this because…the real rulers want us all rather poor but not totally poor, just ‘in our place’ so to speak.
I have watched Japanese anime since 1955 when I used to watch it when in California where local stations served Japanese communities there, long before this stuff showed up on US TV. Having watched it for around 60 years, I will note here that the stories and drawings and entertainment of these shows has been in a horrifying death spiral becoming often crazier and uglier with more and more depressing story lines that are often quiet psychotic. There are still shows that are human and uplifting but they are the minority, by far.
This accurately mirrors the collapse of hope, morals, pleasure and determination in the younger tiers of Japanese youth who grew up with constant ‘deflation’ artificially created by the rulers there. No one is, like the activists of the 1960’s in Japan, organizing against this disgusting rule, all is falling silent as everyone prepares to finally die and be replaced by robots for Japan leads in robot research and boasts about replacing workers entirely!
Global equities jumped, the yen tumbled and sovereign bonds rallied after the BOJ said it would charge for a portion of bank reserves parked with the institution, an aggressive policy pioneered by the European Central Bank (ECB).
“What’s important is to show people that the BOJ is strongly committed to achieving 2 percent inflation and that it will do whatever it takes to achieve it,” BOJ Governor Haruhiko Kuroda told a news conference after the decision. In adopting negative interest rates Japan is reaching for a new weapon in its long battle against deflation, which since the 1990s have discouraged consumers from buying big because they expect prices to fall further. Deflation is seen as the root of two decades of economic malaise…
Several European central banks have cut key rates below zero, and the ECB became the first major central bank to do so in June 2014.
Japan is giving money away, basically, but the average Japanese can’t access any of this loot. It is entirely for the richest corporations WHO DON’T NEED IT AT ALL. And who have a long record of hoarding the wealth while keeping wages down.
Just this last year, Japan’s Businesses Respond to Abe’s Push for Higher Wages by raising the wages of the top tier workers by a tiny fraction. Zero yen went to 90% of Japan’s workforce which has been on starvation wages for a long, long time.
Mr. Abe has been so involved in this year’s process that observers have labeled it “kansei shunto,” or shunto orchestrated by the government. Nobuo Ikeda, a prominent blogger, has called Mr. Abe’s approach “state socialism.” And some business leaders complain privately that the intervention infringes on their freedom and could endanger their long-term competitiveness by raising the cost of labor.
“If companies raise wages solidly, and invest in facilities, the Japanese people will gladly accept more tax cuts,” he told a gathering of business leaders in January.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan has been pressuring businesses to increase workers’ pay to lift the economy. A modest rise in inflation and stagnating wages have been eating away at income. Mr. Abe’s policies are a big reason that businesses have more money than usual to distribute to their employees.
Of course, all of right winger Abe’s actions make his owners richer and richer. And not a yen of this loot drops into the laps of the workers and they like this very much, these rich industrialists. They keep telling the dying workers that exporting everything is going to make everyone rich even though it is making only the rich money, not the workers. Japan is the world’s #3 economy and the workforce lives like in Bangladesh (I am exaggerating here but not all that much).
Why aren’t the Japanese rising up agains this garbage? Why are Europeans sitting on their behinds while the rich rulers suddenly let in a tsunami of alien workers who depress wages even further? Why don’t we see mass marches demanding higher wages and higher taxes on the very rich? Why are Americans not doing this, either? Instead, unhappy people swing in these countries including here, from one ‘leader’ to another ‘leader’ all of whom are owned by the rich or are, like Bloomberg and Trump, the very same rich who love the present tax/pay system very, very much.
Ah yes, insure there are race and religious riots and tensions and divisions! That works. Japan has none of this being very anti-foriegner and indifferent to religion. They are dying there due to the children being trained to be in despair at a very young age via the insanely damaging education system set up in the old pre-Nazi German style. Very rigorous testing all the time and tight competition for a few slots at the top state Universities beats down the smartest students to a pulp and excludes the vast majority from even beginning to aspire to a better life than the misery they have today.
All of this will eventually explode in everyone’s faces. It can’t go on forever. Especially since it is eliminating actual populations. And if anyone thinks robots can’t ‘rebel’, yes they can and will. It is inevitable. Unlike humans, robots don’t need entertainment to dull the mind, they can ‘think’ all the time, effortlessly and they will develop contempt for the meat animals around them all, ask any good SF author who was alive during the last 100 years.
