The New York Times is falling apart at the seams: will vacate half of its office space and rent it out and will probably fire a lot of people, too. The above photo is from the secret plans to house the NYT staff properly. Since monkeys typing on computers can do the job, there is no need for more humans. Also, the Washington Post/Amazon.com Bezos operation is getting $600 million from taxpayers to make it over into a total CIA operation to spy on us and lie to us.
Sulzberger and Thompson said the publisher and CEO’s offices, along with other large corner offices, will disappear as part of the redesign.
“We don’t need to preserve those vestiges from a different era, so we won’t,” they wrote in the note, which was also provided in a filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission Friday morning.
The Times executives said that about 400 people will relocate to a temporary office space in early 2017 while work is done on the office. The redesign is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
The new design was leaked to my by a Howler monkey who thinks is is funny that Howlers are not enslaved in this way due to the fact that they are very, very vocal and quite organized. Vicious, even.
The gloom began earlier this month, when Gerard Baker, the editor in chief of The Wall Street Journal, sent a memo to employees that said, in part, “every story should be as short as it needs to be.” The next week, William Lewis, the chief executive of Dow Jones, which owns The Journal, announced a newsroom review that he said would be “underpinned by a series of cost-management initiatives.”
Two days later, on Oct. 21, the anvil fell: Mr. Baker informed employees in another memo that The Journal was looking for a “substantial” number of them to take buyouts, and that layoffs were in the offing.
When I was still legally a kid, I worked for an underground newspaper, actually three of these. I did stories and cartoons. We published on one to three pieces of paper. I know how to do this! Hire me! Here, on the internet, I am very longwinded since it is all the same, one sentence or ten paragraphs.
But the print media is dying fast and won’t be around much longer because…it is too expensive and who wants to pay a fortune for a pack of lies, anyways, I would say. Someone should tell the Wall Street Journal that if they only publish tweets, each article will be very, very short indeed. Save money and time! Twitter is for twerps! Go for the gold, guys.
HAHAHAHA. This includes the NYT. Good riddance to bad trash. Why would anyone pay money to the NYT to spew utter lies? Obviously, since the paper decided to have one-sided news and stupid analysis that was totally partisan, they get punished. Happens to anyone doing this. Turning the NYT into Pravda was a bad idea.
Millions of illegal aliens voted for her in California and NY and I bet none of these read the NYT and probably couldn’t read it if they wanted. The Despicables that Hillary and the NYT hate so much don’t read the NYT, either. They read the New York Post.
Now on to the Washington Post: A petition that has gained more than 15,000 signers so far this week is urging the Washington Post to provide readers with “full disclosure” about a conflict of interest involving the Post’s sole owner Jeff Bezos and his newspaper’s coverage of the CIA.
Noting that “a basic principle of journalism is to acknowledge when the owner of a media outlet has a major financial relationship with the subject of coverage,” the petition calls on the Washington Post to be “fully candid with its readers about the fact that the newspaper’s new owner, Jeff Bezos, is the founder and CEO of Amazon which recently landed a $600 million contract with the CIA.”
Good lord! The Washington Post is now officially an arm of the CIA. And Bezos is looting us. Boycott Amazon.com! All citizens should hit this clown in the wallet. He is evil. He is a crook. How dare he do this. How dare our government…OBAMA…do this.
