The exact same thing happened when Obama entered office as the first black president in US history. White America went berserk, with gun and ammo sales shooting through the roof. I remember Walmart would not even allow the purchase of a full 500 box of .22 LR — only a small 50 round box per person. That was back in 2008, and I have watched gun prices go down gradually ever since.
Many people also talked about succession, as they do now in California. (I wonder if California knows where its water comes from?) Wall Street shysters were screaming at Obama in private about their losses and what they would do to Main Street America if he did not bail them out before he was even elected, but this was not reported to the people.
This is nothing new. It just shows the ever widening divides amid an empire that has failed utterly abroad and is now failing internally. All of the elites, including Trump, are losing legitimacy among the little people. Many noticed that neither Saudi Arabia or Qatar were on the state sponsored terrorists list, an amazing act of hypocrisy given what happened on 9/11 and what has been going on since 2011 in Syria and Iraq with the IS reign of terror which they bought and paid for.

In my view both sides know that blowback on US soil is inevitable due to the military activity in the M.E.N.A. There is no absolute ‘truth’ because reality is a murky, difficult business and humans have imagination and thus can create any mind system they wish no matter how crazy.

Careful Elaine, ‘absolute’ statements like this are usually erroneous.
Reminds me of the claims of deists and atheists: ‘There is a God’, ‘There is no God’, both claims made with no proof offered, merely postulated on belief. It is possible that some individuals have an epiphany where ‘Reality’ is revealed, but unless that individual is able to directly transmit that experience and not merely to recount it, it has no ‘Real’ meaning to us.
And for all I know (which is not much), epiphanies can range in depth of revelation. That, I believe, is the point you were making when you made that statement re: absolute truth. My apologies if this interpretation is incorrect.
For the balance (and majority?) of epiphany-less humanity, the sole valid perspective is that of the agnostic.
Every time I see Schumer I think, “This guy is a perfect example of why absolutely NO dual citizens should serve in the US Government! That call is an obvious no-brainer. Dual citizenship is an obvious, indisputable conflict of interest.

Now, beliefs are based on epiphanies. We are invited to strive to have ourselves that epiphany. And of course there are different levels of “Reality”, there are ‘multiple states of being’.
