Learning proper English is now ‘racist’ at University of Washington. Yes, no longer do students need to worry about being literate or learning new skills. Language classes are now for ‘inspiration’ and ‘exploring one’s real language’ which in the case of many students today, seems to be all about cussing and using derogatory terms for women, etc. I remember the Free Speech movement way back at Berkeley: we wanted the right to cuss in public. Well, it is now a dying whale that seeks the death of civilization while paying through the nose to learn how to cuss from sheltered professors.
The schools playing this game are very cynical. It takes lots of effort to teach stuff to young people. Grade schools and High Schools have failed at this and they push the kiddies into colleges where they get to learn Grade School and High School English and even that is impossible for armies of kiddies so they decided now to not teach them anything at all.
Just have them all sign up for ‘classes’ where they get to bloviate and holler and act out and pay through the nose for this privilege and then get shoved into the streets, deep in debt where they can then rot away, unable to buy houses, get married, or anything sane. This is beyond sad, it is criminal.

Yes, the ‘social justice warriors’ are the PROFESSORS. We saw this at the Berkeley riots where staff joined students and outside agitators to attack the school and people invited on campus to talk. Then the school kicked out the victims and kept all the rioters who are now threatening to riot if anyone else dares to come there and speak in plain English instead of street jingo.

The final destruction of our universities in DNC run areas is nearly complete. I have said in the past, they all should cease having any tests for entrance and grades and exits. Just hand out the diplomas, charge them a couple dozen thousand dollars and kiss them all goodbye.

Yes, this declaration of war against the English language is from the teachers. Why bother teaching when you can reward students for learning nothing? The school’s administrators obviously agree, what a great plan. No teaching and lots of loot from the government! A win/win.
“Linguistic and writing research has shown clearly for many decades that there is no inherent ‘standard’ of English,” proclaims the writing center’s statement. “Language is constantly changing. These two facts make it very difficult to justify placing people in hierarchies or restricting opportunities and privileges because of the way people communicate in particular versions of English.”
How irrational. All languages add and subtract words over time, grammar even changes, but this doesn’t mean you throw out everything and teach nothing. And how are the ill-prepared/lower class kids going to compete for jobs, etc. if they have poor language skills? Aren’t schools supposed to teach them all more than what they pick up from street corners?
This goes under ‘duh.’ If everything we learn can be picked up via hanging out in the hood, why have any schools? The drop out rate in the hoods prove this, very few males in particular, bother with school after age 13 years. It would be a lot cheaper for taxpayers if we close all the ghetto schools and tell them the streets are the teachers, anyhow. This would save money which can be spent on prisons or police.
I would love to arrest the ‘teachers’ in this ‘English Department’ and charge them with fraud. They are stealing taxpayer’s money, pretending to be professors when they obviously have zero intention, teaching any new English skills to students.
