Welcome to yet another episode in ‘Turn Back The Clock.’ Graduate Students To Hold First-Ever Black Commencement as reported by The Harvard Crimson. Harvard is one of the Super Liberal Schools. It trains our rulers’ kiddies. It also is doing very stupid things such as this new move to isolate ‘black’ students from the rest and have a segregated graduation ceremony.
The graduation video from last year is all about ‘chains’ and ‘slavery’ and ‘privilege’ and this young man will get a university job because they are dying for more ‘articulate’ young black males to be politically correct.
But that isn’t enough. Now, these same students don’t want to graduate with white young adults, they want their own ceremony.
Since most end up in the school being chosen for skin color, not ability, this is actually a good thing. Since the degrees are handed out to students who are not anywhere near as good as the non-black students, having them do it separate makes some horrible sense.
They got in via skin color and leave with…skin color and a piece of paper.
The event, called Black Commencement 2017, has more than 170 student and 530 guest sign-ups so far, according to the Boston Globe.
This story got lots of commentary in the last three days. I sat on it because there were other pressing stories. But now I have to weigh in.
Michael Huggins, president of the Harvard Black Graduate Student Alliance, began organizing the event after finishing his first year at the Kennedy School, where he noticed an absence of programming to connect black graduates across disciplines. Huggins completed his bachelor’s degree at Stanford from 2010, where he noted a “long tradition” of similar graduation ceremonies for black alumni.
So, the plan is to build black only networks. Eh? So much for ‘integration’. I see segregation rising all over the place. When the top students choose to radicalize themselves as separate but equal, they are actually unequal for they got in by walking over students who were the wrong skin color to get in a school that forces everyone else to work very hard to gain entry.
“I think there’s so many good opportunities to build networks, to build fellowship, to build community,” Huggins said. “This is an opportunity to hear stories that are often not told.”
That is a blatant lie. All over America, the ‘story’ is being shouted nonstop these days. It is quite deafening now. The idea of ‘equality’ is being slaughtered. Black students rely and plan on having a big leg up on tests and other things, can glide through high school and often do poorly in college which harms them.
They are not pushed to do their best.
Kristin A. Turner, president of the Harvard Black Law Students Association, said the event looks to help black students “claim our visibility” at the University, an institution that has historically been majority white.
The statistics are, the proportion of black students at this school are well above their proportion in society. So they have a double leg up on others. Asians, on the other hand, since they work very hard and are often very good, are PENALIZED and have to do three times more than black students and twice more than all other groups.
“We chose Black Commencement as not only a commemoration of all the different dynamics that go into being a person of color at Harvard University, but also a celebration of what an accomplishment it is to not only come out on the other side,” Turner said.
It is super easy to accomplish something when everyone is rolling out the red carpet and holding hands while Asian kids have to fight through barbed wire and jump very high to overcome deliberate barriers.
Four students, who will all graduate later this month, were selected to speak at the event and will highlight various parts of the black student experience at Harvard, according to Huggins and Courtney A. Woods, a student at the Graduate School of Education.
And this really angers Asian kids: Rejected Asian students sue Harvard over admissions that favor other minorities.
Edward Blum, who runs the Project on Fair Representation, which filed the suit on behalf of Asian students who were rejected by the school, said it is a clear case of favoring certain racial groups over others.
Yes, it is very much racism. Asians were discriminated heavily against during the exact same time period that black children were discriminated against. But since Asian kids know how to work hard at intellectual things, they are now being…discriminated against, big time!
Harvard defended its admissions policy in an e-mailed statement to FoxNews.com.
“The College considers each applicant through an individualized, holistic review having the goal of creating a vibrant academic community that exposes students to a wide-range of differences: background, ideas, experiences, talents and aspirations,” wrote Robert Iuliano, Harvard’s general counsel.
Oh my, so they have to go to school with what? Oh, all sorts of people and thus, the need to stomp on all geniuses who are very smart because of their skin color. I could say more ugly things but my grandson is half Chinese and very smart and works hard in school and…will have to carry this gigantic burden across the finish line as schools fight to deny him his rightful place and push him down.
Others also defended the university’s diversity policy.
“Asian-American students benefit greatly from attending the racially and socio-economically diverse campuses that affirmative action helps create,” Julie Park, assistant professor of education at the University of Maryland and author of the book “When Diversity Drops,” told FoxNews.com.
So, kicking smart Asian kids out will help them with ‘diversity’??? How insane. When I went to school during the Dark Ages of the 1960’s, I took every possible test and fought for all sorts of benefices and worked my ass off doing this, and no one gave me a hand up. I had to fight my way up that mountain on my own, no crutches, no elevators to whisk me to my goal and it all was worthless anyways when they eliminated my entire field between 1972 and 1982.
The thing here is, if ‘discrimination’ is evil then it is EVIL whenever it happens. Telling one groups of people, ‘You don’t have to study hard, you are black’ they become increasingly weak and useless.
Tell the others, ‘You must climb the mountain while carrying someone on your back who doesn’t have to work hard’ is slavery. Yes, the Chinese were treated as slaves in the 19th century and Mao oppressed them hideously in the 20th century and many went through more than one hell because of history so the excuse that they had it easy is insane.
My family always had Chinese friends including scientists from China and I had Chinese live with me in the 1980s to learn about our country and they all were smart, hard working, very hard working and desperate to learn as much as possible.
Punishing them all for this is insane. We should emulate them, not kick them in the shins and tell them, ‘Discrimination is OK if you are not black.’ The facts about slavery makes this particularly evil.
