Well, today the Pentagon and military industrial giant strikes back! Air Force’s Slower F-35 Buy Rate Spurs Nearly $30B Cost Hike: This Frankenstein procurement program is relentless. The history of this ‘fighter jet’ (sic) is one long looting expedition on the taxpayer’s dime. It makes frequent news because it is doomed. That is, we will see it bombing our economic systems until it is replaced with an even more expensive self-destruct device. All Russia has to do is say ‘boo’ periodically to bankrupt the US. The connection between the DNC/GOP and mass media attacking Trump every time he tries to make contact with Putin and our destructive military agenda that is bankrupting the nation isn’t hard to see yet it is totally concealed from the public except for online news organizations like my own.
The total acquisition cost of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program is estimated to rise by $27.5 billion over the course of the fifth-generation jet’s production, according to recently disclosed figures.
They are geniuses at cheating. I noticed this back in February when Trump cut the wild spending at the Pentagon briefly. The Empire has struck back and Congress, both parties of course, are systematically destroying Trump, attacking his family, running riot because they want to spend money forever and line their own pockets.
According to the 2016 Selected Acquisition Report, published in December and delivered to lawmakers Monday, the total cost projection for the Defense Department’s most expensive acquisition program shot up from $379 billion in 2015 to $406.5 billion in 2016 — a 7 percent increase.

The service — which will buy the more F-35s than the Navy and Marine Corps — decreased its annual buy rate and thus extended the program, causing a shift in procurement costs, among other effects, said Rear Adm. Mat Winter, the program executive officer for the F-35 Joint Program Office.

On Tuesday, the head of Air Combat Command, Gen. Mike Holmes, said he would prefer an increased buy rate of the Lockheed Martin-made F-35 — but it’s not a budget reality.

“We really should be buying 80 or 100,” Holmes told the audience at an Air Force Association breakfast in Washington, D.C. He said an increased buy rate of even “150 fighters a year” would help offset the average service age — 27 years old — of jets currently in the inventory.

The latest manifestation of Mattis‘ struggle came earlier this week when he abandoned an effort to get White House approval for his choice of policy chief, Anne W. Patterson, a career diplomat who was opposed by some Senate Republicans. The White House’s nominees list Thursday didn’t include a new policy chief, but it did name a deputy policy chief.
The tangled corrupt mess in DC can’t be cleaned out by Trump because he doesn’t fully understand how to do this. He should not have taken people from inside to run things, all of them hate him because he told voters, he would stop all the gravy trains running riot in DC. No operation will cooperate with him at any point and so he is stuck trying to get things cut while no one cuts anything.
Then he will be blamed and not Congress and the media, for this failure to succeed. He went into the lion’s den and slipped on the poo on the floor. All ‘wealth’ in this nation is based on debt. We run trade deficits every year since Kennedy was knocked off. We have epic levels of personal debt. We have out of control medical costs, out of control school costs and other ‘bleed red ink’ systems.
Our major cities are all going bankrupt. Our states are going bankrupt. Millions of foreign leeches have come illegally to collect welfare money and drive down citizen’s wages. Crime is out of control. And Trump wants to stop all this. Good luck, you will need it. The opposition openly lusts for assassination.
