There have been touching pictures of victims of fires in California.  I used to live in California, my family came there during the Gold Rush.  California is a continuous disaster area due to weather and geography.  It is a mild climate, for the most part except for extreme heat and extreme snow…heh…but humans mainly live where it is pleasant and has little rain (except for San Francisco which has a long damp season).  But the price you pay is for sudden, ugly disasters to come with little to no warning, particularly earthquakes have near zero warning.  The fires in California this month are caused by humans.  The winds whipped it up but the fire damage was purely human-caused in many places and I will examine Santa Rosa’s fires which hit only one particular section of the city due to poor building codes in the past.
