Jan. 5, 2019 — Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide investigators have filed a capital murder charge against Eric Black Jr. (DOB: 10/10/1998) for the Dec. 30 shooting death of 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes.
Investigators identified Black as a suspect based on a tip.
Subsequent investigation revealed evidence that corroborated the tip, and Black was taken into custody in East Harris County without incident.
Black then admitted to taking part in the shooting. Investigators are continuing to pursue evidence that could possibly lead to other suspects being charged in this case.
Jazmine’s mother was driving Jazmine and her three sisters southbound on the East Sam Houston Parkway feeder road near Wallisville Road at approximately 6:50 a.m. when they were fired upon by someone in another vehicle.
At this time, investigators do not believe Jazmine’s family was the intended target of the shooting, and that they were possibly shot as a result of mistaken identity.
“I am grateful to our dedicated investigators, the partner law enforcement agencies that provided vital assistance, and tipsters from across the nation who pulled together to support our work to get justice for Jazmine,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. “Our work is not finished, but I believe the people of Harris County can take comfort in knowing we have made great progress.”

When this news came out as to who the real killer was, people then began to spill the news that the mother knew very well, who the murderer was and covered up for him via misdirecting the cops and the prosecutor.

Not only was it incredibly corrupt and heartless what she did, but it’s as if her daughter’s death is not even sacred, and immediately she thought of how she could benefit from it financially… and she is not an anomaly in her race and culture. From my experience, the majority of them have thoughts and behavior like this… heartless, animalistic, self serving, and completely savage..
On a sidenote, Everytime something like this happens, we as hardworking taxpayers pay the tremendous bill.. we pay for the ambulance ride, the hospital, the autopsy, the criminal investigation, the court trial, and the 30 year incarceration of the killers… we have to PAY for these people to be in our society. They give nothing back..

The leading cause of death among Black Males aged 18–49 is HOMICIDE, and almost ALL of these murders are committed by Blacks. Too many Black people have a “It’s all whitey’s fault” attitude. Same thing when it comes to the Single Mommy rate for black women being over 90%!. Same thing with the poor educational achievements for blacks. What is REALLY amazing is that a lot of black people STILL expect Whitey to fix all these problems for them. The thought that maybe they should look into a mirror to see who is gonna help them is the answer.
