Ebola Spreads In Africa, Is Huge Issue In US, Most Voters Fear It

Martin Salia, Nebraska Ebola Patient, Dies after being brought to the US:

Salia is the sixth doctor in Sierra Leone to be infected with Ebola. It’s unclear how he contracted the virus, though, because he wasn’t treating Ebola patients.

And there is this story:  A doctor’s false Ebola test result proves tragic because this same doctor was said to not have ebola showing us that there is no such thing as being ‘all clear’ until 21 days pass.  Rhiza Labs FluTracker Forum • View topic – Two Fatal Ebola Cases In Imam Home In Bamako Mali: yes, ebola is firmly planted there, now, thanks to this religious man bringing it home and everyone touching him and his dead body.

Ebola Nurse Goes To Maine And Defies Any Attempts At Any Quarantine

Screen shot 2014-10-29 at 10.59.20 AM

The news about ebola is an endless stream and often, it is astonishingly stupid like this story:  In Liberia, a Good or Very Bad Sign: Empty Hospital Beds – NYTimes.com.  Obviously, the Times editors didn’t read yesterday’s Washington Post story about how ebola victims are hiding from the hospitals and their families are refusing to send them so the hospitals are empty while thousands are dying at home, spreading it further since the most dangerous transmission point is at death when the germs easily migrate to new victims.

10% Of Population, At Least 400,000 Probably Dead Or Infected In Liberia—Also, New Possible Ebola Test That Really Works

Screen shot 2014-10-28 at 7.29.51 AM

The dynamics of the African epidemic continues to cause news.  Ebola: Liberia deaths ‘far higher than reported’ as officials downplay the real numbers…which makes perfect sense.  The official numbers are collected by governments (of a sort) in these African nations that can’t even do simple censuses, is woefully inadequate. I reason that roughly 10% of the population of Liberia is either infected or dead already.  And the disease continues to spread.  The good news for all of us outside of Africa is a new invention from Harvard microbiologists:  Scientists create litmus-like paper Ebola tests taking 30 minutes — RT News, that is news from good old evil Russian media!  I am so happy I can get news from all over the world rather than from our much less reliable domestic sources.  Below is a picture of the RNA detection paper which can be used for other diseases, too, I hope.

NY Gov Cuomo Retreats And Stops Quarantine, Democrats Will Be Slaughtered In Election

Screen shot 2014-10-27 at 5.09.57 AM

Breaking News and Opinion on The Huffington Post: The headlines says it all.  The liberal Democratic governor of NY backed down from his sane quarantine program is retreated to following the useless, ridiculous and utterly failed ‘self-quarantine’ even though not ONE ebola carrier or potential carrier ‘self quarantined’ in the past, every last one of them thought this meant they could travel literally all over the earth and hang out at every possible high population venue, interacting with as many people as possible!

BREAKING NEWS:  hat tip to Jim here in the comments section:  5-year-old boy tested for Ebola in NYC after return from Africa | New York Post: the child had a 103 fever, throwing up, etc, all the symptoms.  And he and his family roamed all over the planet this last week.  Under ‘self supervised’ quarantine at home which is, as always, utterly useless.

Obama Tries To STOP Any Quarantines! Ebola Nurse Complains Quarantine ‘Violates Human Rights’

Throughout history for centuries, the main way of stopping a contagious epidemic was to quarantine people.  The modern way is via vaccinations.  We have neither a working quarantine NOR a vaccine for ebola and this is crazy.  We have to impose a quarantine until a vaccination is handed out.  The Doctors Without Borders continue to show arrogance and pride and an utter misunderstanding how they are SPREADING this noxious disease, not stopping it.

Lots Of NYC Ebola News, Obama Continues To Dither, More Ebola People Come To NY, NJ Airports

Screen shot 2014-10-24 at 9.26.22 PM

The Right-Wing House of Fear | The Nation: Tom Tomorrow’s cartoon making fun of rational ebola fears is typical left wing propaganda.  This guy is in hysterics about ‘global warming’ and calls everyone names who disagrees with his delusions, but his childish cartoon making fun of ebola fears is incredibly dumb.

‘I’m angry he’s getting trashed!’ Family leap to the defense of New York Ebola doctor – who spent DAYS roaming the city and even went out when he was contagious with symptoms of virus: the doctor who should have known better is being defended by his delusional family exactly like Mr. Duncan was defended by a family in denial.  This man had zero excuse for what he did to one of the biggest urban areas on earth, the Tristate Region which has 23 million people, one of the greatest on earth.

A Proposal: We Need A Disposable Isolation Unit That Protects Doctors And Nurses From Dying Ebola Patients

ebola isolation unit

Here is my first proposal for an ebola isolation unit which should be used when a patient becomes toxic to doctors and nurses.  The problem is, using individual suits DO NOT WORK.  Especially when handling dying patients who have rampant germs that spread very, very easily.  The concept is fairly simple: the gloves attached to the plastic cover unit reach all the way inside and can be applied wherever the patient needs services  There can be an opening for inserting needles, etc.
