Reality is but a dream. While I was sick for two weeks, I ran this fever and had many oddball dreams not to mention, reading the news was an exercise in insanity. It seems that our entire nation is going rapidly insane and no surprise. This is inevitable when any nation engages in religious warfare. This includes the Cold War which was a religious war of the Godly West versus the Atheist East. Just as religious doctrine disputes during the Reformation led directly to witch hunts and doctrinaire warfare that killed off half of Europe, so is the present War on Muslims destroying the US internally.
While I have been sick, the news about our assassin drones has been running in the news as if this were something new. Why Obama chooses to continue this insane assassination program baffles me only for one second. He is killing Muslims including US citizens who are Muslims and they died because they are Muslims and we are out to kill off any Muslims who irritate our religious leaders who run this country…into the ground. Our entire foreign policy seems to be ‘Which Muslims should we butcher today?’ Therefore, Brennan says all drone strikes fully comply with the law
“These strikes are conducted in full compliance with the law,” John Brennan wrote in a document released Wednesday. He said “rigorous standards” were applied to the program.
Brennan wrote that civilian casualties caused by the strikes are “exceedingly rare, and much rarer, than many allege.”
And what law is that? I see no law legalizing assassinations. The US did sign treaties that outlaw assassins. We threw these away while complaining about Muslim assassins but it remains illegal as far as international laws are concerned. But laws are only as strong as the people enforcing these and when it comes to war crimes, the US criminality knows no limits, not even slight restraints. We kill whoever we want, whenever we want, with whatever tools we want to use including nuclear bombs on civilian populations.
At no time has any US leader stood in the dock while being charged for say, invading Iraq on false WMD charges, for example. Of course, Saddam had the right to have WMD so long as the US has these. The entire war criminal action the US indulges in is to have, hold and use any sort of WMD we wish and we use this with no hesitation especially if the targets are Muslims or Godless Eastern Atheists. Aka, the Chinese.
White House defends U.S. drone strikes
Obama “takes his responsibility in conducting the war against al-Qaeda as authorized by Congress in a way that is fully consistent with our Constitution and all the applicable laws,” Carney said.
Noting that the government has acknowledged its use of “remotely piloted aircraft to conduct targeted strikes against specific al-Qaeda terrorists,” Carney said the reasons for those attacks are “in order to prevent attacks on the United States and to save American lives. We conduct those strikes because they are necessary to mitigate ongoing actual threats to stop plots, prevent future attacks, and again save American lives.”
Carney added: “These strikes are legal. They are ethical and they are wise. The U.S. government takes great care in deciding to pursue an al-Qaeda terrorist to insure precision and to avoid loss of innocent life.”
If one is going to be a psychopathic criminal, all one has to do is claim, the burning of witches isn’t terrible, it is ethical and wise. Look, the British even gave Joan of Arc a trial before burning her at the stake! How generous is that? Well, it was more generous than what the US is doing today, that’s what. If this were the Middle Ages which were supposed to be so much more uncivilized, the US would have sent a drone into Orleans and bombed that bitch to hell, forget namby pamby trial crap!
Joan of Arc was plotting against the British! And if they went into battle against her, they lost. So they had the right to burn her at the stake, it saved lives…NOT…what became of Joan of Arc? As she died, she called upon her own god to listen to her cries and her ashes were scattered into the Seine river which flowed into Paris and the people there rose up and drove out the British who never conquered France again. They lost their war in France. Big Time. And this is what martyrs do: they energize their own believers who fight ever harder.
Our own religious maniacs here who think these insane wars are going well can’t see how our own nation is being sucked down this maw of destruction with angry men kidnapping, killing, threatening, menacing and terrorizing children: Minnesota father charged for threatening his daughter with AK-47 ‘because she got a B’ is just one sample of this ongoing war against women in the US that runs alongside the war to terrorize Muslim women.
And our economic system is collapsing which is why our government is urging Japan to go to war with China, that Godless Eastern Place where banks still function: Obama vows to watch U.S. financial industry to prevent ‘irresponsible behavior’ has to be the funniest headline this year. HAHAHA. Watching the owners of Congress misbehave, our government is helpless while armed lunatics terrorize our hinterlands, drones terrorize Muslim lands and Japan and China spar over some islands. Peace is not at hand.
We supposedly are butchering the Muslim Witches due to them being mean to women but then here is news from our dearest allies in this war: Fayhan Al Ghamdi, Saudi Cleric, Reportedly Beats 5-Year-Old Daughter To Death, Receives Only Light Sentence in Saudi Arabia. Oh, and our beloved allies still burn witches at the stake, too. Isn’t that Medieval? Well, we are going down that Medieval Road to Ruin and it seems to please an awful lot of Americans.
I just want to return to FDR’s America. I thought this was a functional society and it worked just fine, why on earth are we wiping it out? One wonders. But then, people want to eliminate vaccinations so I guess the Black Plague seems to please these Medievalists, too.

What you say Elaine, makes sense, which is the scary part. Even though I don’t agree with your conclusions all the time, the fact that you’re able to lucidly state certain facts while our entire nation lives under a dangerous delusion, such as we can get away with murder and never have to answer for it, exemplifies just how crazy and depraved our nation has become.
Look, I don’t know if anyone is interested in this, but, according to the Justice Department’s “whitepaper” here are the elements the government must show in order to lawfully assassinate a U.S. citizen. (This whitepaper does not have the force of law, but its implications are Nazi-like, so it should be addressed (if anyone cares)).
(1) A high-level American intelligence official has determined the individual poses an imminent threat; (2) that capture is infeasible, and (3) that the strike is conducted according to the laws of war governing use of force.
One constitutional problem with this formulation is that it places unfettered discretion in the hands of “a high-level American intelligence official”. This is a constitutional no-no when it comes to prior restraints on speech so, by implication; there is no way it comports with due process for the purposes of carrying out an execution. In fact, the CIA itself is arguably unconstitutional under the appropriations clause. It follows that the determinations of any intelligence officials operating under black budgets should be given no weight whatsoever in a procedural due process balancing analysis.
But more importantly, the Constitution already has a provision dealing with treason:

So the “whitepaper” in essence sees the government trying to use smoke and mirrors to make an end run around the actual provisions of the Constitution. This fraud needs to be exposed for what it is.

Reality is not a dream, but it is “dreamlike” in that the majority of it lies outside the realm of basic human perception. For example, the majority of the energy in the universe lies outside the visible light spectrum yet typically humans rely on eyesight to gather the majority of the information used to discern what reality consists of. Atomic structures are too small to observe yet comprise a substantial portion of reality. In fact, scientists monkeying with atomic structures are analogous to children playing with matches: they don’t really understand the nature of what it is they are fooling with. It is all abstract numbers to them e.g., plutonium 239 or uranium 235. Now we have string theory, which posits the existence of 11 or so dimensions to explain reality. But our brains have evolved to comprehend only 3. OK, string theory may not be right, but the fact that it is gaining traction supports my point about atomic structures not being understood. I play a stringed instrument so I like it.
I have been accused of living in my own world, but Einstein’s relativity theory seems to suggest that we all actually occupy our own individual temporal universes (!). But even he was confused. His brain could not accept quantum uncertainty, but the evidence supporting its correctness is uncontroverted, so far.
And, for all the grammar police, notwithstanding what you were taught in grade school, it is not necessary to turn grammatical cartwheels to avoid ending a sentence in a preposition.

As for the drone strikes: the warmongers really have no choice but to use them. It’s why they defend drone strikes so strenuously. How many times, after the surge was tried, did outside media report that the US had suffered a record level of deaths? It seems to me that out of a 12 month period, at least 5 of those months set record monthly levels of casualties. Even the warmongers in the Pentagon know that troop presence wasn’t working. Why? Because the US tortures their enemies–and the US’ enemies are FULLY aware of this. How could they not be? What does this mean? It means you have troops on the ground in Afghanistan who wear “mud” camo’ed uniforms so they can’t be seen–or captured. It means you have US troops who MUST drive around in Humvees that are so heavily armored only two tons of explosives can put so much as a dent in them. Also, and last but not least: EVERY US soldier who is serving or has served in Iraq/Afghanistan knows what would/will happen to them if al-Qaida were to capture them. You don’t need to be a genius to figure out that al-Qaida and other forces the US is fighting in the Middle East are so hot to capture US soldiers they can barely stand it. It is likely a priority for them. Even if one sets aside ALL moral issues concerning the use of torture (I most certainly do NOT), one MUST conclude that torturing enemy combatants is foolish; you don’t get useful information and it makes your owm soldiers VERY reluctant to take ANY chances on the ground. Hence the drone ‘option’ is being used.
