Today, we visit the FDIC to look at the latest charts and graphs they publish. And we visit the Nikkei news in Japan to get more graphs. This is all about understanding why the biggest, most international banking/investment systems went under so suddenly and so totally. Throwing good money after bad is stupid. Rubin and Greenspan don’t have a clue…their own words….as to what is going on. So maybe we can clue them in!

RUBIN ADMITS HE IS A CLUELESS FOOL

Rubin is now under sustained attack from not only Krugman of the NYT but now, the Wall Street Journal.  This means, this idiot, this horrid, stupid, incompetent fool will probably not be in charge of the many trillions of bail out money that our government is spilling all over the place.

 

Good riddance.  Also, we look at the Walmart trampling episode: Walmart is a crime magnet.  It was only a matter of time before it made the news.  I hope Walmart get sued.  This will motivate them to fez up and provide realistic security in their little hell holes they call ‘mega-stores.’

THREE STUPID GENIUSES: GREENSPAN, RUBIN and SUMMERS

Mr. Krugman is halfway smart: he is an economist who understands some of the dangers of the Floating Currency. But he doesn’t go after ‘free trade’ or he would lose his perch at the NYT, I guess. But yesterday, he took off after the ‘Three Musketeers’: Greenspan, Rubin & Summers. This is because the dumb trio pretended to be too stupefied to foresee the very obvious housing and buy-up bubbles. In his editorial, Mr. Krugman mentions a very interesting Time Magazine article from 1999.

 

It is important for us to read this old article. It is full of information about the Asian Currency Crisis that tells us exactly why Greenspan, Rubin and Summers should all be kept far, far away from any monetary policy making positions and Greenspan, arrested for fraud and reckless endangerment of an economy.

As I explained during the election, the media herded the US public away from anti-war candidates towards pro-war candidates.  Obama tried to portray himself as an ant-war candidate when running against the very pro-war Hillary Clinton.  But after his song and dance routine in front of the extreme war-monger ethnic cleansing operation called AIPAC, he steered himself, directly after winning the nomination, into the pro-war seas on the right.

SECULARISM IS SAFER THAN ETHNIC IDENTITY STATES

The massive attacks in Mumbai continues.  This latest, tragic episode in terrorist counter-tactics is just as horrifying as so many previous attacks.  We do have a war going here: Up until 1600, Islam successfully dominated a huge area from Northern Africa, across the Middle East, much of India and other lands along the present-day ‘Stan’ belt in the mountains.  The ongoing wars between Islam, Christianity and various other major religions like Hindi cultures continues.  These have been raging since the fall of the Roman Empire and the destruction of the Chinese empires by the Mongols.

LAST STUPID MEGA-DEAL COLLAPSES IN CANADA

The last of the behemoth mega-debt deals has collapsed.  There are none left from the Japanese carry-trade Wild West days of 2007, the year that saw more debts dumped on corporations than any time in history.  The deal that finally collapsed here is one that the shareholders of  BCE didn’t want to see in the first place.  I wrote an extensive story about this last year.

COOKING THANKSGIVING TURKEY AT DAWN

Today is Thanksgiving Day in America.  We get to thank whatever gods or goddesses or flying horses, for our good fortune.  Too bad, we let a bunch of crazed gnomes destroy our good fortune.  We shall deal with them later!

 

But today, I have some of my family over for Thanksgiving Dinner.  Alas, my own children this year are doing their own obligations with other relations in our extended family that lives all over Kingdom Come.  So I make lots and lots of leftovers which I freeze for them.  We happen to really like Thanksgiving leftovers.  Personally, I think these are the best, the seasonings have time to percolate in the dark cave of the freezer.
