As the Warsaw Ghetto battle rages in Gaza, many curious things are getting into motion.  The Muslim world teeters on the edge of total chaos which will, as oil prices plummet, cause revolutions and wars to rage.  There are many people who are very content to sit around and look only at ‘economic’ matters and not pay attention to the role wars play in economics.   But economics and wars go hand in glove!  Ignoring this is stupid, to be blunt about it.  The intractable wars whirling out of the Holy Land are, in particular, very dangerous since these can suck in all the Great Powers and even cause the end of all living things on earth as crazed super-giants use the evilest weapons on earth to butcher as many people as possible.

The Israeli Jews are trying, yet again, to drive out or suppress the Palestinian natives. This attempt at removal or diminishing of the natives is based on the European methods of colonizing the New World. Only there is one tiny problem in this modern attempt at displacement: the Europeans brought many fatal diseases into the New World which rapidly killed off most of the natives. The European invasion of Africa and Asia failed utterly due to the reverse: those places had many diseases fatal to European invaders!

A quick review of important economic news: as the Israelis rush us towards the Apocalypse, we must also keep an eye on the Derivatives Beast and its adventures here. China is preparing to replace the US as the major world trading/currency power. This is inevitable, of course. They wanted this back in the mid-1980’s when the leadership finally figured out how international trade and the floating currency business operates. Just as other groups exploited this flawed, stupid system, the Chinese have mastered it and now, are preparing to take control of it.

The devastation of Free Trade is obvious in my community which was thriving before this shibboleth shipping scheme was foisted upon  us for economic and political reasons.  Before the Doha Free Trade Rounds, businesses in Berlin, NY, were expanding.  Now, they are rapidly vanishing.  These events are totally connected!  This week, one of the insane trade negotiators struggles to figure out how he screwed up.  Of course, being stupid, he can’t figure out the obvious.  So I suppose it is time for him to tour my little town’s dead businesses.

While driving around Berlin, NY, today, I noticed a new sign next to an older ‘for sale’ sign.  It looks like one of the more expensive new vacation houses in Berlin is being auctioned off on January 15th.  300+ acres of prime hunting land.  This is yet another sign of the collapse of the wealthy class.

Mr. Madoff is still hunked down in his Penthouse Prison. Many people would chop off an arm or a leg to be imprisoned in this posh place. He should be penned up in a very small one room apartment in the poorer parts of the Bronx overlooking the Cross Bronx Expressway. It is becoming more obvious that the ‘feeder funds’ were not innocent people but rather, co-conspirators. Of course, unlike three card monty players on 42nd Street or juvenile delinquents spray painting their names on subway cars, these cons are not being rapidly arrested. Typical, they own our politicians and courts.
