Here is Google’s US news I took Saturday afternoon. Lots of mention of cops having to shoot someone who is black and giving trouble leading to cops reacting. No news of the man who was an obvious assassin who was black and deliberately trying to murder black female cops in the name of Black Lives Matter Only Rarely. Since 75% of the top stories today concern black people why is there zero mention of the unfolding story of the black female cop? Eh? Nope. Not Google.
The English paper, the Daily Mail still has major developments in the murder of a black woman and the shooting of a black woman cop. This story has near zero interest in the liberal US media. It horrifies me how the news is selectively reported. A black kid running around way later than bedtime, waving a fake gun at cops and playing the hoodlum game, gets shot and this makes big, big news here in the US.

Now for major breaking news, very quick from Europe! Geeze, one would imagine this would be front page news with the NYT and WP. Nope.

Why is Chicago grounds for being on the front page and Philadelphia isn’t even on the bottom half of the front page? But then, there is the Washington Post which has big news about black…experience in a Black Nonhistory Museum. The WP does mention in small print, the shooting of a black female officer and murder of a black woman by a black radical revolutionary lunatic.
Now, Trump teasing Hillary for her many armed guards and nurses, told her she should get rid of them since guns are evil. The NYT and WP and other liberal lunatics read this to mean, ‘Let Hillary be killed by armed lunatics’ forgetting that the lesson is, Hillary should disarm if she really believes being disarmed is fantastic.

The booklet, which was distributed to “business colleagues” in the publishing industry, includes a brief biography of Obama among the biographies of eighty-nine other authors represented by Acton & Dystel.
It also promotes Obama’s anticipated first book, Journeys in Black and White–which Obama abandoned, later publishing Dreams from My Father instead.
‘Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation. He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago’s South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.Acton, who spoke to Breitbart News by telephone, confirmed precise details of the booklet and said that it cost the agency tens of thousands of dollars to produce.’
Dystel did not respond to numerous requests for comment, via email and telephone. Her assistant told Breitbart News that Dystel “does not answer questions about Obama.”
The errant Obama biography in the Acton & Dystel booklet does not contradict the authenticity of Obama’s birth certificate. Moreover, several contemporaneous accounts of Obama’s background describe Obama as having been born in Hawaii.
The biography does, however, fit a pattern in which Obama–or the people representing and supporting him–manipulate his public persona.
That is, when he thought he could benefit by being ‘born outside the US, in Africa’ he would get huge advantages and scholarships and then, when he had to run for President, he had his birth story in Hawaii. Who knows at this point? Too late to redo history.
Trump’s wife was born in Eastern Europe. And there are no rules about that issue in the Constitution. Our leaders make up stories and then dump them when it no longer works and if the media wants this, they succeed in lying. When the media wants to get rid of someone, they nit pick like dogs with scabies.

It’s not the same as in the 60s and 70s. Back then at least a large part of the US population were capable of independent thought and action. The nation, collectively, still had a concience. Today the sheer magnitude of American slaughter and murder has numbed the population to the point people are basically hiding and not wanting to look and examine reality, or they are so brain washed they simply accept the poison they are fed by the MSM.
This is unprecedented. An entire modern nation gone completely bonkers.
Also, the American elites learned from the mistakes they made during the Vietnam war. This time there is no free press. This time there is no unity between various classes or races in the US, so this time there is no effective protest against Washington’s crimes. During the Vietnam war the protest may have been small but it was significant. This time you have Black Lives Matter instead of MLK. This time you have an obidient, unquestioning military.
All of this is by design. This is the work of US leaders (American “Superpeople” to use Colin Powell’s word), not Saudi Arabia or Israel. This is not the result of Maoism. This is not the result of the Bilderberg (who are but one tiny aspect of the Western establishment).
It’s high time Americans took some responsibility for their own situation and actually framed their problems in a framework uniquely American and not as a slanted derivative of Mao’s China or the Soviet Union or Marxism. The US is rotten for it’s own reasons.

You are right, Lou, up to a point. Nixon did NOT want pictures of dead soldiers or dead civilians but some of the media like the NYT and WP did show this so did CBS but not ABC. But the real news we brought over from EUROPE. I did this, others did this.
The bombing of Cambodia, for example, came from overseas, not our ‘press’. Pissed me off greatly.
It’s true the US media has always been in service of the Pentagon, but at least the news showed the carnage in Vietnam and people like Seymour Hersh (My Lai) and Daniel Ellsberg (the Pentagon papers) were able to make a difference. Nixon had to step down after Watergate.
Now we have Snowden and Wikileaks exposing the crimes of the elites (eg the Clintons) and nothing, it’s like prodding a dead fish for reactions.
Ellsberg was assailed by the media when he leaked the Pentagon Papers. They hated his guts, ruined the propaganda stream. And what caused Watergate?

Good analogy. We watched Three Days of the Condor again a couple weeks ago. The ending was very reminiscent of the Pentagon Papers. The NYT was going to publish Robert Redford’s story. If it happened today they wouldn’t touch it.
It’s all “Russian hackers” or “Traitors turned against us”, and they never never never mention the actual contents of the material revealed. Hillary’s dirty deals? Nothing. How and why and what is going on in Syria? Not a word.

Sandy, yeah I know, all the Americans I talk with, and have talked with, are really concerned. That doesn’t mean I see many Americans that are completely gone into the alternative reality too. For some reason it seems it is Democrats atm that have lost touch with reality. Paul Craig Roberts just pointed to a survey that says Democrats have a large percent, about 50%, that trusts the media – that explains a lot doesn’t it.
Fwiw here in Europe many people are still oblivous too, too busy with their everyday lives to pay attention I suppose, but every day more people wake up.
The real problem is that the Elites, especially in the US, have shut off all normal channels of protest and change. They control the political process; they control the media; they control the money flow and the salaries; they control health care; they control the judicial process; they control law enforcement. There is nowhere to turn for a sane normal debate and proper systemic change through the normal political process.
Reasonable people like us can have interesting discussions about events on forums and around kitchen tables, but that is about as far as we can take it under current circumstances. That is what bugs me.
