Dr. Krauss Struggles To Understand Infinity And Nothingness…And Fails

Finances and astronomy are hand in glove thinking: it is all about infinity and zero!  Motion, time and space are given numbers and rules and humans then try to riddle out what the Sphinx is telling us: mortality.  The excitement about where we are going and where is the center of the universe are real questions humans cannot answer since we really, emotionally think that we are the center of the universe if not our own galaxy or solar system. A Slow Fall Towards A Grim Intergalactic Center

Messier Object 83

Once again, there is a news story in astronomy that simply amazes me since the story is about the life cycle of a galaxy and there is no mention that the major force driving star creation isn’t the simple actions of isolated galaxies flying away from each other but rather, it is what happens with galaxies fall into each other’s gravitational pools. Continue reading

Scientists Finally Admit, The Sun Controls Our Climate! Wow! HAHAHA

The Fukusima mess hasn’t vanished, it is no longer seen by much of our media here in the US as we are consumed by other affairs.  Like Chernobyl, since the population is helpless, people then accept these human-created nuclear disasters (humans create the nuclear systems that fail) as if they are acts of Nature.  But they are not.  Even as yet another catastrophe unfolds, the building of nuclear power plants continues.  But first, some global warming news: it is finally sunny and warm here for a total of four days!  Wow! Crab Nebula Pulsar Lightning Event Greater Than Ever Seen

As I expected tonight, it is very busy in the astronomy world and here is a most interesting news story about what astronomers do NOT know: pulsar power.  That is, much of what passes for knowledge is often guesses based on poor levels of information.  As we see more and more information via all sorts of satellites and new types of observatories, may of which were first proposed or backed by my dad who is the founding father of many observatory complexes on earth and in the heavens…well, this Crab nebula story is most interesting to me. The Cosmological Constant

Humans hate contradictions. The devil is in the details, as always. Whenever there is a contradiction between present ideologies and beliefs and reality, or when reality has two conflicting elements, this is where the changes have to happen. This is where the real point of interest lies. Research into contradictory systems is the gold motherlode to understanding reality better. Continue reading

A River Of Stars: The Milky Way Road To Afterlife

Long, long ago before humans could read or count past the number 10, our distant ancestors across the entire planet earth knew about this marvelous River of Stars that crossed our night sky like a bright path paved with the milk of mammals. Ancient people believed that this was the road the dead took when moving from life to the afterlife. Why did even the very early humans believe in a shining road to infinity? Continue reading

Nobel Prize Astronomers Save The World From The Great Attractor

My internet connection had severe problems which my service  had to work on so during this vacation from the news, cut off from the rest of the world, I have this nice pause to talk about astronomy.  My parents were both high-level astronomers as well as working for the CIA in many secret ways.  I grew up inside and around observatories.  I have no formal training as an astronomer but it is in my blood, my grandparents were astronomers, too.  I watch developments in this area very closely and one of the most irritating things for me today is how they have collectively chosen to ignore reality.  That is, scared to death of a ‘collapsing universe,’ they have invented this thing they call ‘dark matter’ which is making the universe, according to today’s dogma, flying rapidly apart!  Oh, the joy!
