Even if this were the case, and there’s no evidence for it, the fact that the protesters didn’t even bother to check what was written on the giant banner before marching behind it doesn’t reflect very well on their intelligence.

I think the kids carrying that sign were stupid. Since they were too dumb to figure out what they were doing, they deserve whatever approbation goes their merry way. A group of Antifa protesters reportedly defaced the Peace Monument in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park after mistakenly identifying it as a Confederate statue on Sunday.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the protesters were marching in response to Saturday’s violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.
As Antifa marched into Piedmont Park, they came across the Peace Statue – erected in 1911 – depicting an angel standing above a Confederate soldier and directing him to put down his weapon.
According to OldGuard-Atlanta.org, at the time of the monument’s construction, it represented “patriotism, reconciliation, the pledge of friendship and goodwill, and optimism about America’s unfinished history” following the Civil War.
They attacked the statue and broke one of the wings. These people are insane. And they are very dangerous. And they get money and support from Soros and the DNC to run riot and torment us and destroy statues and deface buildings and attack, attack, attack. And the DNC definitely supports importing terrorists to kill us while they scream, ‘Allah’. Every single thing Trump tried to protect us was attacked, stopped, DNC judges howled with rage and the flow of terror and the stupid attacks on statues and buildings continues raging onwards. In the mid 80s, as a teen, I read loads of books regarding Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Middle East.
Wahhabism was purposefully chosen by the British elite and in turn, the American elite, to rule Mecca under iron fist. Through that religious site, they control all of the Muslim world.

The latest news about the terrorist was that people who knew him are surprised at his attack. He was very westernized right up until just before the attack. Something flipped him from being a law abiding, westernized person into a religious fanatic killer. And it did it in short order.
The “something” is of course his religion. Islamic holy scripture is pretty clear about advocating murdering and oppressing non-Muslims. All that is necessary to turn a Muslim into a terrorist is to confront them with the reality of what Islam actually advocates.
This is why “extreme vetting” of Muslim immigrants is a myth. A Muslim immigrant could be very sincerely westernized in his/her views when entering the country. Once confronted with the reality of their holy scripture, however, they would have no choice but to change their views.
I see no practical solution for this problem.

Well said. As for practical solution, don’t rule out mass deportations. It is possible and has happened (see Operation Wetback); “we have the technology.” What’s missing is the political will to steamroll all the enablers and snowflakes.
